The variety in gameplay that helped prevent Samantha Swift from being a total disappointment is definitely back in full force for Midnight Mysteries, tweaked to make the adventure far more enjoyable and supported by enough extra content and challenge to actually help it last more than two hours.

All in all Michael Jackson: The Experience is a decent package and a fitting tribute to the King of Pop, though we would expect a larger amount of content to sweeten the deal.

Yet GoldenEye 007 could have gotten away without using that namesake as, against all perceptions upon initial reveal, this re-imaging is strong enough to stand on its own and, aside from a few online limitations and control niggles, it is easily one of Wii's best shooters.

Sonic Colours is one of the best 3D Sonic games to date, the best Sonic the Hedgehog game on Wii and certainly a strong contender for Super Mario Galaxy's crown.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 is a good enough start to what will hopefully be a more refined and usable experience. It is better than some of the more recent games, and although has addressed some issues with the move back into 2D, still suffers from awkward and unpredictable controls.

Professor Layton and the Lost Future takes the core functionality of the previous two outings, expands on it considerably, wraps up the storyline in the most gripping fashion possible and heaps plenty of extras on top for good measure. This is most definitely the superlative entry in the Layton series so far.

Metroid: Other M is certainly a different take on one of Nintendo's prestigious franchises, but it works well to the point of being one of the most immersive and story-heavy Metroid games to date.

An impressive debut from Broken Rules, who have taken their own name literally by screwing up the rule book and trying something a little different within an established genre. The gamble pays off: with a friendly concept, striking art, and abstract-yet-believable world, And Yet It Moves presents is a worthy addition to the WiiWare catalogue.

The original 7 Wonders was addictive as it was, but its sequel manages to surpass it, giving fans of the genre another pleasing piece of puzzle pie for a very wallet-friendly price.

Tournament of Legends is a good game, but there are a few niggles in the default controls, and it hasn't exactly got much depth to it.

For the price, this is one flight you might want to take, but best strap yourself in for what is an initially rough ride.

A solid title that's genuinely good fun. Loads of modes coupled with enjoyable racing makes for a game that we highly recommend.

Adding yet another top game to their resume, Shin'en has crafted a serious treat for the eyes and fingers with Jett Rocket's amazing visuals and intuitive controls.

Treasure has created a shooter beyond all shooters, mixing together so many different styles, throwing in a plethora of engaging stages and gameplay techniques that set the imagination on fire.

Ultimately, however, a somewhat frustrating difficulty curve, and an overall lack of originality, ensures that there is little reason to recommend this over Geometry Wars: Galaxies, despite its comparable competence.

It may have taken a long time coming, but Nintendo has put together a fine collection of classic books to keep everyone happy, packaging them in a superbly user-friendly format and offering up plenty of extras to ensure that true value for money is provided. If you are a book lover and have a Nintendo DS, then this little bargain should be right up your alley.

Arcade Sports has a decent mixture of games in its package, but unfortunately a few issues hold back what is otherwise a good collection.

While it's not going to convert anybody that isn't already a fan to the band's cause - not helped by the disappointing career mode, which could have been used to tell the story of the band in more depth fashion - those who are already fans will have a blast with this game and its decently-sized tracklist that hits many of the high points of their career.

Little Worlds has taken the idea of Picross and twisted it around, throwing a whole heap of colour into proceedings with great results.

A respectable first effort on WiiWare from The Code Monkeys, and certainly endued with some British spirit, but key issues of severely hindered online and one player modes hold the game back.

Nintendo has pulled out all the stops to cook up far more than a mere 'Super Mario Galaxy with bells on,' instead serving up a steaming dish of delicious gaming goodness with a sequel that is leaps and bounds above not only every other similar adventure, but nearly all of Nintendo's own previous platform/3D adventure creations.
