The non-linear progression is a welcome change.

The controls are definitely hard to grasp at first, but if you can overcome those, then you'll have a great time playing this equestrian game.

I did enjoy this game, but overall it was just a bit too shallow. It reminded me of playing any Mario Party title all by my lonesome.

While Meet the Robinsons is nothing revolutionary, it does provide an enjoyable experience all the way around. If you are the type of gamer that loves platform games and loves the movie sub-genre just as much, then this game was designed with you in mind.

The game starts off slow but really pays off after turning pro. A lengthy career and the ability to take to the online slopes will keep you playing this one for longer than you may expect.

You don't have to be a big fan of the series to enjoy this game but it certainly would help. The no-frills features prompts me to recommend renting this game unless you're content with fighting like-minded fans online for the next few months.

All of the games are arcade simple and relatively easy to play and master. Not all of them are a hoot however. "Crazy Taxi," which is a classic Dreamcast game is nothing but filler in this collection.

There are plenty of fun movie-inspired platforming levels, and the unlockable multiplayer modes certainly add some replay value. If you or someone you know loves the Ice Age franchise, then this game will certainly please fans without giving them too much of a challenge.

Meanwhile, the fun continues for a bit in the multiplayer until you’re crushed under the boots of either “enormous grind” or “emptying wallet.”

Fortunately you don't have to give the other guys orders but there's still enough commands that will give you a headache just learning the right button configurations.

Approached with the right attitude this game can be a lot of fun as well as a great learning experience.

An old-school, space shooter that was designed to entertain. Developers City Interactive has done its homework to produce a no-frills game that is literally guaranteed to be fun.

Pokémon Battle Trozei is a fun take on the Match-3 genre that rewards quick reflexes, strategic thinking, and Pokémon knowledge.

Despite the unbalanced gameplay, the cinematic, spectacle filled matches make me feel hyped every time I play. I don’t claim to understand every decision NetherRealm made with their new DC inspired fighter, but even with all its flaws, Injustice can’t help but be a crowd pleaser. Even if sometimes it’s more fun to watch than it is to play.

An overriding sense of "been there, done that."

This GBA version is not a port. This game has depth and new features that make it more exciting while injecting some badly needed depth.

The co-op multiplayer experience, well-implemented theme, and arcade price means it's a nice bit of valuable fun to pull out when your buddies come calling.

Pariah has multi-personality disorder. It's loaded with features and options but they all don't add up to one cohesive game.

It's not a pick-up-and-play game and even after all the time you spend flattening the learning curve you might find that you don't really like it after all. Like racing, you win some, you lose some.

I also have to wonder after 3 years why the game still has some things that have not been fixed? It's not that Fever is a bad game. It just seems to be missing that final polished look and play about it.

If you log some hours with the game, you'll get to be pretty good at these classics. That way when you do finally get to grandma's house, you can show her who is boss and win some cookies out of her.

While the amount of content included in this DLC is substantial-definitely worth the twenty bucks-it's also riddled with bugs, and a few of those make it damn near unplayable. It's frustrating, at the very least.

Though the Xbox 360 version does have a more organic-feeling control system , avatar integration, and a lower price point, if you consider yourself a PC-only gamer, you should definitely check this one out!

Humor saved the low-budget Evil Dead movies but it doesn't help the low budget presentation of the game.

With 25 levels you would think this game would last a long time. A decent gamer will hack his or her way through this in an afternoon.

If you want to upgrade to a next-generation version of this fun fighter, go ahead. If you really really want two new characters, go for it. But if you are looking for something truly new and different, you are unfortunately looking in the wrong place.

A game that is undoubtedly the best of the bunch although it's not very different than the last one. I would rename this game, "ATV Offroad Fury Two-and-a-Half."

It's an old-school trip and although it's been updated somewhat to play on the newer PC systems it still retains the old charm with little change in the gameplay.

The control system is excellent and the game is challenging but not impossibly difficult making it accessible for beginners while still offering plenty of fun, adventure and depth to the hardcores.

I suspect that the reason this game was so popular at this year's Otakon was its controls, and ease of play. You can pick it up and start slashing almost immediately.

Given the tremendous variety of downloadable tracks available for free, courtesy of both the players and RedLynx itself, charging five dollars for a smattering of content without some serious sort of hook seems almost disingenuous.

It's the most personal and entertaining game of the Defender of the Crown series so it warrants a play just don't bother to give it a permanent home on your shelf.

The idea is great, but there's not a lot to this game yet.

With the release of Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, Capcom has basically thrown us the keys to their studio to do to this game whatever the hell we want.

The Nintendo DS version uses the stylus and touch screen to great affect and even manages to add an entirely new combo system to the mechanics of the game.

If there is one major complaint it's that the game is too short. It can be completed in an afternoon and there's virtually no replay value at all.

Despite my initial trepidation about a shooter-style kid-movie tie-in, G-Force actually manages to be a competent game that goes beyond the tried and true platforming format.

The high-definition visuals are hit and miss, but the engaging combat and tried and true character customization continues to satisfy, concluding that the Tales of Symphonia series can withstand the test of time.

Pure console fare; it's going to lower the bar on the PC's status as a more sophisticated gaming machine for sure. It's pure mindless fun for the most part, and at other times it's just pure mindless.

The action is solid and better than plenty of past Dragon Ball video game adventures, but the wholesome fan service is the real offering here. There isn’t enough of that, but what you do get is a great reminder of why Dragon Ball is still here.

Tin Soldiers: Julius Caesar lets the little nerd in you run free without the possibility of getting caught and pigeonholed for life. Just remember to hide the lightsaber under the cough when company drops in.

This version of Double Dragon is simply the best; it even rivals the arcade version with new moves, weapons, updated graphics and some tweaks in the mechanics.

What I would hope for this title is for a sequel with improved graphics, sound, and control. If this one is just the first and spawns an entertaining series, then I can forgive the pilot's mishaps. So, here's hoping!

A decent first-person shooter but it's based on the two-year old PC version. In this day and age of military, quad-based, tactical shooter, Black Hawk Down is a bit of a disappointment.

The FPS gameplay is a little on the mediocre side and the game is rife with flaws including a really bad slowdown glitch that permeates both the single-player and online modes.

Sure, it isn't as good as Mario Tennis, and occasionally the game feels a bit too linear, but ultimately you get what you pay for. With niche titles like this you were either excited about this from the start or never cared to begin with; let that be your guide.

Snowboarding is buried in here somewhere but it's sandwiched between Mountain Dew 'tude', insane fratboy party visuals and some gameplay completely unrelated to snowboarding.

Having multiple control options, not having to change out tiny discs midway through the game, and having better audio are definitely pluses, but I don’t think they are big enough improvements to merit picking up this title if you already own the GameCube version.

A kid who loves the TV show might find Transformers Animated: The Game amusing for a little while, and some adults might enjoy the more challenging puzzles. However, most players who aren't blinded by love for Transformers will probably find this title a bit boring. There are better games like this out there.

I'm not sure this game will give him that dimension that he needs to compete in the mascot-rich, gaming universe but it's a spin jump in the right direction.

If TRON 2.0 allowed you to use more of your brain along with the action elements, it would be a more rewarding experience. As it is, TRON 2.0 underneath all the glitter, glimmer and high-tech processing is just a 386.

For a budget title Powerdrome certainly has plenty going for it. It has great graphics, smooth animation, nice particle effects such as spark and smoke and several modes including time trials, quick race, championship and multi-player modes both system link and online.

Perhaps if the reward system offered better mini-games this game might have been an instant cult classic.

FTM is no cakewalk. It's challenging and demented but addictive. For a change of pace this game is exactly the sort of game you can pop in, have fun and laugh at the stupid stunts and storyline.

The quickly changing gameplay, short length, and active tiring controls seem to be built for someone with a lot of energy and a short attention span. It's probably great for a younger child who is really into the series, but any older fan who is looking for a deep and involved Harry Potter gameplay experience should probably look elsewhere.

The multiplayer frustration might leave a bad taste in your mouth, but it shouldn't detract from the fact that the campaign in Top Gun: Hard Lock is a heck of a lot of fun.

The game is low res all the way. The only saving grace is the engine which is exceptionally well designed. Controls are responsive and the animation is great.

While this installment isn’t the most innovative, that isn’t what Need for Speed needs right now. It needs to build up a solid foundation again, so it can get itself into a good position to ride the slipstream behind other titles, ready itself, then overtake it to possibly come out on top. There are some strong elements here, and the balance between day and night activities can provide a good loop. It handles well, not letting obstacles get in people’s way, and gives folks a lot of extras to shoot for. Yes, it could use a more lifelike world, a more interesting story, and a better soundtrack. But, what’s here is fun. That’s what matters most right now.

Other than laughter and the occasional satisfaction of seeing a crazy plan come together, Just Cause 4 doesn’t illicit much of an emotional response. It’s ugly, monotone, and almost feels incomplete. Even some of the character animations look lazy, as though the characters themselves are saving their energy for something. The game isn’t without its charm, certainly, but that charm doesn’t amount to much when it is marred by a plethora of other issues. Just Cause 4 approaches its potential, but doesn’t quite seize it. Considering how well the game performs at its peak, that is a real shame.

This is a great game for fans of HSM, but if it's a rhythm game that you're looking for, Elite Beat Agent just can't be beat.

Hardcore soccer fans who wanted even more realism from this series will enjoy playing around with the new controls but if you're a player who thought "FIFA 2005" wasn't a great game might as well rent this game or stay away from it cause you won't be missing much.

As for Star Soldier R in particular, it is certainly a decent game. Is it worth the price of admission? Maybe, it all depends on how entertaining you find trying to break high scores

Insomniac has definitely proven that they can make a rock-solid, third-person shooter, but all of the testosterone that was injected into the weaponry may have neutered the overall experience.

High camp, and I'm not so sure it's supposed to be...While you won't find anything above and beyond than what you've already experienced in countless first person shooters, DMH is definitely playable and enjoyable without being remotely innovative.

If you were waiting for an intense and long light-gun title, then this one will not disappoint you.

Whatever you do, don't purchase Astro Boy. It makes a great rental since you can finish it in a day or two without having a nervous breakdown.

And what I mean by strange is damn good. It's virtually impossible to put down.

In an effort to appeal to a wide range of gamers the gameplay is less than difficult. It's a lot less than difficult but it's not so much challenging as it is meant to be entertaining. Do I have to bring up the phrase "interactive movie" again?

A noble effort by the folks at BioWare to translate the lore of SEGA's beloved hedgehog and his cronies to an RPG format. Largely, the game succeeds at providing an interesting experience. However, it seems to be too simplistic for its own good, lacking the depth of gameplay needed to make it truly special.

A thoroughly enjoyable experience; unfortunately, the game itself isn't very thorough.

The various modes will keep you busy and detract somewhat from the repetitious nature of the gameplay. But if you really get into it, you won't have time to be bored. You must attain a Zen-like state to be at one with this game.

A simple but engaging title that will pull you right back in to the farming lifestyle, and if you're like me you'll find yourself addicted all over again in no time!

Despite the criticism over when and how it was released, Versus Mode for Resident Evil 5 is a worthwhile investment for fans of competitive multiplayer gameplay who can see themselves playing online for hours to come. But, if you have already beaten Resident Evil 5 and put it on the proverbial shelf with all of your other conquests, I don't think Versus Mode is really worth pulling Resident Evil 5 out again, not to mention the 400 points it costs to download.

Warriors Orochi is certainly not a bad game; it's just a stale game. It's a gameplay formula that we have seen before on an engine that is incredibly outdated.

While Outbreak's gameplay is innovative - online, team co-op play and the ability to turn into a zombie - there is absolutely nothing that stands out here at all thanks to one big fat missed opportunity: Communication.

Best played in small doses. Even the multi-player modes won't sustain your interest for long.

It does feel like an eternal night when you're playing it, due to the repetitive gameplay and lack of detail and innovation.

You can't help but love this game. Even if you're not at all interested in bikes, boards and inline skates, there are enough levels, modes and objectives to interest virtually all gamers.

What I would have liked to have seen is the player having the ability to change into the Hulk after things got hairy, more free roaming areas, more moves for the Hulk as he progressed through the game and more solid development in the Banner levels.

A little underwhelming. Although I do enjoy the occasional escape from the daily grind, I have to say such a mellow atmosphere kinda makes me want to hit the off button. Not that I have anything against the zen and peace facilitated by Test Drive Unlimited, but I feel that it's not what racing games should be.

The bottom line is that the gameplay of this FPS is no different than what's gone before it. The new features are decent but if you don't feel like you're playing "Unreal Championship," then you've probably never played it before.

The only thing you need to know about Monster Hunter is that offline it's about as fun as an allnight marathon of infomercials. Online is a different story entirely. If you don't have a PS2 network adapter then don't even waste your time.

It’s not mind blowing and it isn’t going to be winning any game of the year awards, but it’s an inexpensive title that you can have fun with, especially if you have a dedicated group of friends to play it with.
