Romancing SaGa 2 is an alluring blend of esoteric and impenetrable that is as vexing as it is fascinating.

Bridge Constructor Portal takes some of the best snark from the Portal series and shoves it into a clever little construction game.

I have yet to find another free-to-play game that is so fair to the player not spending any money on it.

Hell is Empty feels like a superficial way to cap its story off, as it chooses an easy ending to Rachel and Chloe’s relationship rather than exploring its darker conclusion.

Enter the Gungeon is a full-clip of awesome, loaded into a gun of perfection and fired onto the most interesting console.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2's sluggish combat and adherence to low-brow, leery anime writing detracts from the joy to be found in exploring its magnificent world.

Okami HD is a good action game, but it is a better game about how a dog can enhance a life. Ammy is a wonderful protagonist with a natural puppy charm, one who steals every scene with her playful yet serene expressions, and through her big heart improves the lives of those around her. She digs up the yard sometimes and barks a lot, but she means well, making the world a better, happier, brighter, and funnier place.

Cities: Skylines is definitely a must-own for fans of the genre, or gamers with a nostalgic itch for SimCity that EA certainly won’t scratch.

It's really tough to follow-up Super Meat Boy, but Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel did it nonetheless with a dreary challenging platformer.

Doom is just as violent and mesmerizing in VR, but a number of concessions were made in this truncated version.

Party Planet is 30 awful mini-games, 12 of which can only be played solo. It's really bad.

A beautifully cinematic story set within the current Planet of the Apes film continuity, as players direct decisions made by both humans and apes as a conflict brews.

While the attempt to encourage exploration is appreciated, the skin of Portal Knights isn't distinct enough to keep me interested.

Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, while not an epic virtual reality experience, it is a pleasant one. This is a title I would recommend to Final Fantasy XV fans for a relaxing evening. For players wanting a thrill, I say look elsewhere to get an adrenal rush.

In the end, this is not my favourite version of Rocket League, but it is one that you can enjoy. The gameplay is identical to the other versions in most ways, but the graphics of the Switch version are ugly. The resolution is so low.

Gear.Club Unlimited is the most traditional racer to hit the Switch, and a successful outing for Microïds / Eden Games Mobile The graphics, although not as slavish to accurate detail like in a Gran Turismo title, still manage to hold their own, and are crisp and enjoyable.

Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire is a great expansion for an MMORPG that’s now five-years-old. For anyone like myself who missed out on the game during its original release, I’d recommend trying it out now. You won’t get as much out of the story as long-time fans or people who have done their homework but you’ll still be able to enjoy the game’s great visuals and huge amount of content, which now makes it even greater than before.

Battle Chef Brigade is a fantastic addition to the Nintendo Switch’s lineup of indie titles that everyone should give a try. The game ran beautifully in both portable and docked modes at a crisp 60 FPS and I never encountered a glitch or bug to ruin my experience, showing the studios talent to provide a properly polished game. I fell in love with this game during my time at E3 and now that the final product is finally here, I can safely say the game not only met my expectations, but surpassed them as my new favourite Indie currently offered on the Nintendo Switch.

Rockstar ports the underrated L.A. Noire over to The Switch and actually adds some interesting new control dynamics to the old title rather than just tossing on some gimmicks. That’s a good thing.
