If you're a fan of 'A Song of Fire and Ice' (or HBO's series), get this game, as it tells a great new story set in Westeros and co-created by Martin. [August 2012, p.74]

As short as its lovely heroine's skirt, not particularly pretty and rather shallow in terms of gameplay. Still you might enjoy it if you're in a mood for some Japanese insanity. [August 2012, p.70]

I really tried to like this game but the more I played it, the more tired I grew of its generic world, uninspired quests, dull characters and long distances you have to cross over and over again while cutting down respawning enemies. Combat is really good though, especially against massive foes, and the Pawns system is an interesting idea. [August 2012, p.66]

Why can't Activision approach Spidey seriously, invest enough money and time and finally make a game that all Spider-Man fans are waiting for? The Amazing Spider-Man ain't it. [August 2012, p.64]

Six years after Ys Origin was published in Japan we can finally enjoy it in English. It's not beautiful, it doesn't sound good and doesn't offer an exquisite story. What it does offer is tons of fun. [August 2012, p.63]

The game might not be polished in every detail and has a low budget feel to it, but it's been a while since I played a shooter with such a great story and I doubt we'll be getting another like that soon. [August 2012, p.58]

The X360 edition is a kind of an introduction to the Minecraft's world and concept – some of important gameplay mechanics were lost in the process of simplification. [July 2012, p.87]

I have no idea why someone decided that MUD is worthy of a 'Triple A' price. The developers couldn't even decide whether they wanted to do an arcade game or a hardcore simulation. [July 2012, p.84]

The House of the Dead 4 is enjoyable but also a couple of years late. If you like light gun shooters I advise you to pick up The House of Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut (if you haven't done so yet). [July 2012, p.82]

Well-thought-out, transparent gameplay rules make Port Royale 3 a title that can keep you entertained for hours. It's a shame that naval battles are so simplified and the story is presented so unattractively. [July 2012, p.76]

As all Codemasters' racing games Showdown looks great but it doesn't make it exciting and will not keep you in front of the TV for a long time. You'll be better off digging up good old Burnout Paradise. [July 2012, p.74]

32 soldiers on vast battlefields and interesting tactical options introduced by the possibility to build structures make Starhawk shine in multiplayer – but only on occasion. And the single player campaign only pretends not to be an expanded tutorial. [July 2012, p.66]

After all these years it could have been bigger, better, more polished. It could have had a PvP mode or a voice chat, or at least a more competent loot generator. But if you drop all the 'could have beens' Diablo III is a great, addictive game. [July 2012, p.46]
