Fans of retro gaming will find something to like amidst its addictive core premise, but for modern gamers used to more consistent design, City Connection is a trip you can afford to avoid.

Those with fond memories of 80s arcade gaming will most likely get something from this unabashedly and overtly 80s wrestler, but for the majority of gamers, Mat Mania Exciting Hour will provide very little beyond a stark reminder of how far video games have come in the past thirty years.

The Castle Game is a fun, well designed tower defence game that should be added to your collection if you want all the defend your castle thrills without the cash grab that is usually associated with the genre.

A fairly fun game that’s loads more fun with friends. It’s nothing really ground breaking though.

The potential for what this level editor can create is huge. It’s an amazing tool for anyone who fancies trying their hand at level design, and I’ve had the opportunity to play some truly stunning stages from users around the world as a result of it.

It probably doesn’t do enough to warrant a double-dip for those who have already experienced the game on last-gen consoles, but despite the lack of a noticeable overhaul, Dishonored remains one of the best first person action games on the market.

Rugby World Cup 2015 isn’t completely without merit, but with so many issues, it’s all but impossible to recommend this overpriced, under-featured and often flat-out broken game of virtual rugby.

There is fun to be had here, but honestly, you have to be willing to overlook some pretty major issues to get the best from this charming but undeniably mediocre RPG.

If you’re a fan of One Piece, then this is the very definition of a no-brainer, but even if you’re not, even if you’re a fan of anime/manga with little more than a passing knowledge of One Piece, this game will do more than most to convince your of the series’ unique charms.

Some may be put off by the Zombie theme but I for one am glad I have put in the time and think Zombie Defense is a solid buy.

The unique, utterly charming aesthetic certainly plays its part, but ultimately, it’s the fundamental gameplay that makes this game quite as special as it is. The combination of solid shooting mechanics with personnel and task management is inspired, leading to this being one of the most entertaining games that I have played this year and amongst the finest co-op experiences of the generation.

Episode one of Blues and Bullets is a short, whistle-stop tour. Does it have me interested enough to go and buy the next episode? Perhaps. Although not as instantly gripping as The Walking Dead or Life is Strange, it does do something different.

It has the potential to be both painfully depressing and outrageously infuriating, but Don’t Starve: Giant Edition works largely because of its potential to do so. It’s roguelike structure won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but for those with the patience to live by its rules and learn from their own mistakes, Klei Entertainment’s unique survive-em-up will deliver one of the most rewarding, tense and exciting gaming experiences of the year.

It’s a fun game to pick up and have a quick blast with, and even more fun if you have a friend to tag along with you. Having said that, I think this could be the basis of a much better game if the developers take this engine and build some more variety into it.

There is some fun to be had here. But you have to search hard for it. If this were a school report we’d probably end it by saying Quantum Rush: Champions has potential but could do better.

I loved it from start to finish and while I feel it’s a little pricey for the length, I gladly endorse it and recommend anyone who enjoys 2D platformers to try it. This is one of those rare titles where I have to give it a low critical score but would also say it’s a must or at least should play.
