   This is very much a delayed review on this title, reason for the delay is because I wanted to be able to rate it against it's competitor RugbyThis is very much a delayed review on this title, reason for the delay is because I wanted to be able to rate it against it's competitor Rugby Challenge 3. Firstly, Rugby World Cup 2015 is an improvement on its predecessor Rugby 15, you can actually kick with your flyhalf and the passing controls are much sharper, possibly the best and most accurate in a rugby game yet, especially if you played Rugby Championship 3 which is the worst along with EA Sports Rugby World Cup 1995 on MegaDrive. a Big let down is the lack of licenses, a few international teams, but none of the top 4 nations, unlike Rugby Championship which was loaded with licenses, but extremely outdated, one does miss all the teams which was in Rugby 15, it would have given a shallow game perhaps a little bit life. The editor is sad, you can edit everything from players but their look, so you can edit fake players in the game to real ones but not their actual look, which kind of kills it. All and all less frustrating than Rugby Championship 3 to play, but with a bit of hard work could have actually been a decent arcade style rugby game, however it just missed that extra couple of man hours and a too high price-tag to allow it that.… Expand

Centred around the biggest sporting event of the year, the Rugby World Cup in England, developer HB Studios seem to have learned nothing from the many criticisms angled at their previous title, Rugby 15 (and again, sorry if some of the terminology is wrong as I'm not really a rugby expert).
   The set plays are again so tedious, with the analogue sticks being slightly easier to control but still extremely difficult. One thing that has been reduced a little bit is the speed of the players, no longer being like a cheetah on ecstasy, but still being quite unrealistic. The developers have also seem to have tweaked some other things slightly such as feats of strength (sorry) being much easier to win, and jumpy throw-ins (sorry again) also being easier. However, the game doesn't seem to have improved too much.
   Overall, the game is slightly better than its predecessor, with set plays and throw-ins being slightly easier and player speed being reduced, as well as a structured tournament mode. To be honest though, this game is still nothing to write home about and like Rugby 15, do not buy this game, and certainly not at full retail price.… Expand

   Where to start? Well the obvious I suppose, warning cash cow alert!! I was lucky enough to find this on eBay rather than buying from any majorWhere to start? Well the obvious I suppose, warning cash cow alert!! I was lucky enough to find this on eBay rather than buying from any major retailer who are selling this between £40-50 pounds. The game is so flawed it's untrue.
   
   I'll start with where the basics let the game down first.
   1) When you kick off the opposition receiver will always kick to touch, So long as you can operate the controls for the lineout 9/10 this will lead to a try because the AI isn't clever enough to move players back into a line to defend.
   2) Rugby has made attempts to keep the game flowing rather than held up in a ruck etc the mechanics of this game go against with the player have to release the ball and then battling to keep it and therefore that gap you can clearly see can never be hit because it takes about 5 minutes before you can get going again.
   3) Game content = World Cup mode, Friendly, Create your own world cup with 3/4 groups and whether this goes to playoff games or not
   
   Dig deeper and this game becomes even worse.
   
   4) Before you play you first match you are shown all of these complex moves that you could use in order to beat a defense.... these are never needed you chuck the ball down the line win the ruck and then go back the other way ultimately with the opposition powerless to stop you
   5) The game has 3 difficulties Easy (Why did you buy this game) Medium (the real Idea of easy) Hard (You'll only find the game hard if you choose to be Samoa) when playing as England my hardest game was the final against.... New Zealand hardly a surprise there then
   6) For all the achievement/trophy collectors go get this game because there is hardly any challenge to it at all you can unlock most of them within one game!
   7) Less content than provided in there rugby challenge series this year - there could have been a lot of scope for this for example historic matches where you have to turn the score around etc
   8) Licensing they pretty much only have the license to the logo and designs made by RFU... Some of the teams have real players and others don't most notable would be England

I get it, rugby games are hard to make, there's too many variables. But they can be better than this. In-game minutes will go on while the players lie there, motionless, due to some stupid glitch. The AI is broken and no skill is needed for running past them, and the game never changes up or gets any less boring. Rucks and mauls play out the same and everything is honestly broken, often resulting in draws and uneventful matches.… Expand

This game is over priced with fake teams .the only thing original is the world cup and its logo, but never mind that same carp game as Rugby 15 , full of glitches, bugs I stopped played it after 1 hour never to see my PS4 again . Rather make a 1080p version of Rugby 08 and i will buy it .Gee wiz I would say buying this game is actually HB studios steeling your money (AGAIN). Sorry Rugby Fans yet another disappointing Rugby game.… Expand
