The level design is flawless, keeping even the most responsive player on their toes and leaving you always hungry for more. It has addictive qualities which can take up hours at a time as “only one more level” becomes 5 levels later.

Sometimes the gameplay is a little too easy, but most times it is just right and I appreciate that. The story is good for one playthrough and is a fairly easy completion.

Overall the game experience provided by Laser Disco Defenders is fantastic, and will definitely be a fixture on the first page of my Vita’s wall, everything just fits together perfectly. It is incredibly challenging whilst remaining fun.

Dear Esther: Landmark Edition is an experience that has held my imagination for days after finishing it. It is beautiful yet haunting, sad yet inspiring. It may be short, but it is perfectly paced, and you owe it to yourself to experience this game, it will leave you breathless.

Overall it’s well worth revisiting Fortune City on your PS4.

Quite simply, Madden NFL 17 is the best Madden game to date. The adjustments in the offensive and defensive gameplay mechanics really improve the realism and enjoyment of the game.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X plays it very safe, but despite its familiarity, it does more than enough to justify the jump to the PlayStation 4 hardware.

Despite never particularly excelling, Bear With Me is a perfectly satisfying little adventure game. Point and click fans who’ve been starved off quality titles of late will be well entertained for the brief period it lasts, and future episodes will hopefully be a bit more expansive as the action relocates from Amber’s house to the streets of Paper City.

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the game as well as watching it being played.

Shipwrecked builds on the formula of the original and Reign of Giants without losing any of the magic, frustration and a justified, unadulterated fear of forests. The most obvious change is the island setting. Your starting islet dictates how your first few days will fair, some are barely big enough to feed you and provide you with the materials for a raft, while others are huge sprawling things with food and forests galore.

Even with the marginally sour taste left in my mouth after visiting the extensive marketplace, it’s still one of the best multiplayer games I’ve played on the Xbox.

The Witness is undeniably self-indulgent; it’s too long, too single minded and occasionally, a little too abstract for its own good. It’s never more than the sum of its individual parts, but despite its issues, there is no escaping the fact that its individual parts are all universally fantastic. The puzzles are as compelling as they are plentiful, the art design is exemplary and the world itself a consistently compelling place to be. It lacks the magic that made Braid quite so special, but judged upon its own merits, The Witness is a worthy successor to Myst and one of the finest and most ambitious puzzle games of modern times.

With Event[0]’s revolutionary AI and beautiful graphics, I would definitely recommend this game. It’s an immersive story experience with a witty companion that will take you on a journey of emotions. The subtle music and atmospheric tendencies create an environment that is both daunting and welcoming, apart from one song that will stick with you through out the game.

It might have been developed in Finland, but this is a resolutely Japanese experience, and in an age when we are seeing less and less output from the land of the rising sun, it’s good to see someone else taking up the slack.

This is without a doubt one of the finest zombie games you will ever play, and even its own sequels have can’t hold a candle to it, a worthy remaster.

Yes this game is definitely worth the money if the game sounds appealing to you. It’s definitely much better than many of the games in the same genre, and it does a good job of standing out and making sure you know that it’s not a clone of Angry Birds. However a thought was constantly playing on my mind as I played the game, and it still is. Should someone play this on a console?

Stories of Bethem is a throwback to the Legend of Zelda games of the past. Great music and fantastic 8-bit graphics abound, and for fans of the genre it’s a real treat to see a game of this type arrive on Xbox.

I’ve always loved the franchise and although micro transactions, pre-order content and extra story related DLC mildly annoy me, sadly I can do nothing to stop its endless press on the gaming world.

The great art of Project Highrise is that you can foresee the needs of the people and their impact on your overall project. It’s great little sim game, and well worth picking up.

The controls are simple fluid which makes using special abilities during tough situations fairly easy and smooth. Jotun may not be perfect, but it is definitely unique and, much like Thora herself, can hold its own too much bigger titles.

It’s beautiful, it’s seamless, it’s fun. Behind the minor bugs and limited replayability is a truly unique fascinating experience that’s easy on the eyes and the ears. Lupo Land really nailed what a 2D puzzle-platforming short-game should be.

A thoroughly good expansion pack, it complemented the main game spectacularly. It not only offered new challenges and ways to play but also a whole different story branch which I thoroughly enjoyed. this game I would highly recommend not only for fans of the genre but also history buffs who just love hearing new stories with the added incentive that you get to play out the story yourself.

Tumblestone is a great puzzle game that I would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre. You will find yourself frustrated when you have to restart a level but absolutely ecstatic when you solve a difficult puzzle. That feeling is something that only the best puzzle games provide.

With plenty of content to keep you playing whether on your own or with others over Xbox Live, as well as the excellent career mode and online championship to get your teeth into, and the best handling and physics of the series, Codemasters has hit the nail on the head with F1 2016. Everything which was lacking last year is back in abundance, and the level of control – regardless of whether you’re using a wheel or a pad to play – is perfect.

With many hours of content, compelling and satisfying gameplay and a fantastic suite of campaign, online and survival components, if you’re looking for something to scratch your itchy trigger finger this September I can’t recommend this enough. It has a solid story, good looks and great gameplay, and getting all of the games satisfying achievements will take you around thirty to forty hours.

Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is a great turn based sci-fi strategy title, and it’s with huge thanks I gladly accept it’s full, unadulterated porting to Xbox One. It looks great, it sounds great and it plays great.

The game is lots of fun, quick playing, and there is definitely enough choices to make each turn to please even the hardcore Euro game veterans .With approachable game rules and random maps that increase replay value, SkyBoats is an interesting turn-based game with multiple layers of strategy. Give it a try. You’ll become a fan of BrainGoodGames.
