Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is a must buy for any PC gamer who loves action adventure games. If you have a capable PC, you'll enjoy it like a kid. Visually it's a real gem, the performance is excellent and the game is well adapted to be played comfortably with a keyboard and mouse. If only all PC ports in the future were like this one.

Persona 3 is a masterpiece mainly due to its amazing story. Still, Atlus has managed to improve not only the visual aspect of it, but also every other little thing in order to turn what was once a niche game into a full timeless gem. It basically features the best battle system within the entirety of the Persona series, which is supported as well by a new UI that looks simply stunning. Overall, Persona 3 is a game that will steal the players' hearts both through laughter and tears.

Injustice 2 is everything that a good fighting videogame should be. The story mode, even though it has a short duration, has a great plot and its characters have an amazing personality. The new customization feature is the best that NetherRealm could have done for this videogame.

The arrival of the game on PS5 maximizes everything that is Ghost of Tsushima. If his world was precious now it is even more so. Enjoying the game at 60fps or reaching 4K resolution is something that is noticeable from the first minute and that makes this experience touring feudal Japan even greater.

Final Fantasy VII Remake still is the masterpiece it once was. Time goes on, but pieces like this one stay alive forever. Square Enix has managed to evolve the game while maintaining its essence, and even though there are some mistakes along the way, Final Fantasy VII Remake remains one of the best games in the current generation and, of course, the current year. It is no small task to put together both past and present, and Square Enix has achieved a level of perfection that we would never have imagined.

Astral Chain is one of the best experiences of the genre on Nintendo Switch. PlatinumGames has managed to revitalize the gameplay and take its complexity and sensations further than it has ever done before. The combination of character and legion implies having to take into account double the elements while fighting, which at the same time allows for better combos and a comforting sensation whilst carrying out whatever movements we want to.

Guilty Gear -Strive- becomes one of the best launches of 2021 and, at the same time, one of the biggest references for the fighting genre. Arc System Works delivers a new masterpiece that, despite some bad design choices, is as flawless as enjoyable, recommendable for newcomers to this style of games and for veterans that are used to combat titles.

Atlus has managed to make a new version that surpasses the original work in everything (again, because they always do this well with their games). Not only with the obvious improvements at a playable and visual level, but because the new content turns Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance into a product that borders on the label of "new game" and not "new version." One of the best JRPGs of the year and, possibly, the best SMT of the series.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is a whirlwind of combat and exploration: fast, fluid, and lethal. It forces you to learn and grow like a true ninja, with challenging confrontations and challenges. Its metroidvania-like level structure doesn't really play up these strengths, but it's the only thing that can be held against this triumphant return, for both fans of the classic franchise and newcomers.

Pikmin is back in a new entry that retains the cornerstones of the franchise: exploration that will make us use all of our brain power as well as multiple types of Pikmin that will allow us to overcome a variety of scenarios. The game also features new mechanics, for instance: night expeditions, the dog Orchin and Dandori Battles, these being the funniest thing you'll find playing the game.

Gran Turismo 7 stands at the peak of simulation, and not just regarding driving games. Furthermore, the game goes above and beyond anything seen before, making it seem even slightly 'erotic' for car lovers: observing your cars, taking pictures of them and enjoying some relaxing moments are all core parts of the Gran Turismo 7 experience. In conclusion, the game is a perfect mix of both elegance and pure competition.

Saros is a brilliant evolution of Returnal proving that less can truly be more. It's a gameplay machine, polished to perfection, paired with a distinctive tone, narrative, and story all its own. One of those rare gems that feels timeless, no matter the years. Saros is utterly addictive.

Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 stands as a bundle that brings back two unquestionable masterpieces. Two of the best games Nintendo has ever pulled out of its hat throughout its entire history, and they’re still just as relevant more than 15 years later. With a remaster that gets the job done—though it could be better—the Big N restores experiences that challenge any cynical belief one might have about remasters. Because, for a change, we’re talking about games that truly deserved a second life.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle stands as one of the best video games of 2024 and living proof that MachineGames is a studio that knows how to move skillfully in environments different from those we've been accustomed to in the past. It's an adventure/action game that places special emphasis on the first element and strives to make you feel like Harrison Ford himself in front of the cameras. There's no better Indiana Jones game. This must finally be its Holy Grail.

Tales of Arise is the best option for this year regarding the JRPG genre. It is a game that you will fall in love with through its storytelling and a set of characters for whom you can actually feel something. Tt also features an acceptable progression system as well as fun battles, some interesting main missions (not so much for the secondary stuff), optional events, impactful visuals... it has everything.

MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is one of the great surprises for all those veterans of the arcades during the 90s and early 2000s. Despite everything, it can be just as enjoyable for those people who, like me, didn't have the chance to live in that era. However, I think some new modes would have been perfect, but the online mode will give it more life in the competitive aspect.
