Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is one of the best games of 2016, featuring an astonishing artistic design, a detailed universe and marvelous gameplay mechanics. However, its plot could have been more intense and less conservative.

A quite satisfactory experience that immerses us fully in the world of programming without requiring hundreds of lines of code. It adapts perfectly to object-oriented programming, although with much simpler concepts achieved thanks to 'nodon'. Without a doubt, a great stimulant for your imagination.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is much more than 'just a spin-off'. This entry not only provides context for Kiryu's reapparance as a headliner within the Like a Dragon franchise, but also introduces tons of nostalgia as well as some new gameplay elements. Overall, it may not be as long as the main Like a Dragon entries (but don't fret, it cannot be considered 'short'), although it stands its ground as a video game that should be considered a must-play franchisewise.

Overwatch 2 is the change that Blizzard's shooter was crying out for. This one is ready to revolutionize the community and completely transform the image we had of Overwatch. His move to 'free to play' is a key element to attract more players, and other changes such as 5v5, the Battle Pass or the new characters are the perfect elements to keep them all.

SUPERHOT is a game that combines fast and slow pace at the same time, giving us the sensation of being in control of the time as we enter in an strange game inside the game which will be deeper and deeper with each step we take. Avoid bullets, break some skulls and be ready for a travel inside a system that hides more secrets than the chamber of Harry Potter.

The Walking Dead: A New Frontier begins with a very powerful double chapter and Telltale Games makes clear why they are the masters of their own genre. Dynamic, spectacular and fresh are the adjectives that describe this new adventure.

Elsweyr is another great chapter for The Elder Scrolls Online. It doesn’t include anything revolutionary, but with the new Necromancer and the Elsweyr map it’s more than enough to keep ESO’s fans entertained for more than a dozen hours.

Call of Duty returns with a game that comes back to its roots in terms of gameplay. The campaign, even though its too short and linear, is very well crafted. The multiplayer and zombies suffer the loot crate fever, but its content is really good. This is an improvement of the saga taking into consideration its recent years.

Bye Sweet Carole is a different, addictive, fresh story worthy of applause in a world where taking risks deserves to be applauded. A truly unforgettable experience that proves you can do different things without needing massive budgets. Chris Darril has created something unique that masterfully blends the nostalgia of classic animation with modern mechanics.

Pikmin is back in a new entry that retains the cornerstones of the franchise: exploration that will make us use all of our brain power as well as multiple types of Pikmin that will allow us to overcome a variety of scenarios. The game also features new mechanics, for instance: night expeditions, the dog Orchin and Dandori Battles, these being the funniest thing you'll find playing the game.

Golem is a magic adventure which excels by reminding us that games can be art. A great sense of companionship between protagonists, intelligent and difficult puzzles, an astonishing art design, a beautiful soundtrack and a great communion of these aspects makes the creation of Longbow Games rise as one of the most special indies of the year.

Dragon Ball: Gekishin Squadra is a great free-to-play experience especially for Dragon Ball fans, but even those that are not followers of Goku will find quite an enjoyable multiplayer alternative. The game is pretty simple, but it capitalizes on its core strengths: fun gameplay, good customization, very solid character design and a ton of potential for further character releases.

11-11: Memories Retold is a refreshing figure among graphic adventures that are strongly bound by narrative and that deviate from the traditional point & click gameplay. Aardman Studios provides a plot that will draw players’ attention from the beginning to the very end, all of it mixed with one of the bests OST that can be found within videogames.

If we had to sum up Toki Tori 2+ in two words, they would be: simply fun. These words are not chosen randomly, as they describe perfectly what the game reflects: simple but sufficient controls, many challenging puzzles but not too difficult and a technical section that makes getting behind the controller a real pleasure for our senses.

Super Mario RPG is a remake that follows pretty closely the original game from SNES, with its core actually holding up really well. What's interesting is that Nintendo has not only pumped up the visual aspect, but it has also introduced new elements so that it measures up to today's standards. On the not so good side of things is that some players may find Super Mario RPG exceedingly easy and kind of repetitive, but even so it remains a funny and joyful experience, and you'll love the artistic side as well as the OST.
