You get all the thrills of building up your kingdom, taking down smaller ones, and defending yourself against outraged rivals. However, in the later stages it is going to be a little tough to play unless you're willing to dish out some in-app purchase dough.

We don't see ourselves playing it very much in the days ahead.

The control system has been copied over too many times to count, and even the stellar graphics can't save the iPhone app from feeling a little tired by the end of an hour or so of playtime.

If you want to play a fun soccer game, then Real Soccer 2012 can definitely give you that experience. The controls are good, and the graphic are above average, plus the game is free to download and works on both iPad and iPhone.

The flaw with Kaptain Brawe is that some of the puzzles seem arbitrary and purposefully annoying.

Overall, this iOS version of TETRIS is nice to look at but a step in the wrong direction for EA and their Mobile team.

Eternal Legacy reaches for the stars and, while coming close, is hampered by the difficulty, sound and script. If Gameloft can improve upon these factors for a sequel on the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch , they will have a definite hit on their hands.

Pixel Ranger tries to offer a twist on a standard shooter, but while it does work, the chaotic controls greatly hinder it. Though it only has a few problems, these problems prevent it from being a classic.

Overall, Stupidness 3 is definitely not for everyone. For the standard gamer, the challenges will simply be too frustrating to provide any value. For those who truly enjoy being forced to think outside the box in order to solve challenging brain teasers, however, look no further than Stupidness 3.

If it weren't so buggy, we'd have given it a much higher score, and it would be at the top of our list of favorite games. In the meantime, FD will sometimes simply refuse to start, and will often crash to the home screen for no apparent reason.

I would recommend Emissary of War to Runescape or Lord of the Rings fan. Though it is very easy, it does get sort of addictive with combat and collecting items, not to mention the witty dialogue.

Feed-the-Duck is pleasant and challenging, but not without its flaws. It's not ready to steal Angry Birds' spotlight yet, but it's still a good way to spend a bus ride or a wait in line.

Ultimately it's about dispatching units as fast as you can and a mass of units pretty much always results in a win. I have to say that the AI is good and makes the battles fairly even and makes a win possible.

I am hoping that the next update does address the AI problems and opens the door for good old fashion fun, if they do so then this will be a great game and definitely one to get.

Top Girl is pretty, but it's also incredibly vapid and light on content. While easy to play and entertaining at first, the overall portrayal of men and women in this game is mildly offensive at best, horribly sexist at worst.

At around 1,000 questions, this game won't keep you occupied forever, but for 99 cents through the holiday weekend, this is one app any trivia or game show lover shouldn't ignore.

I will admit that there is a fair amount of variety packed into this little game, so if the technical issues could be resolved, I'm sure that it would be at least decent if not stellar, but as it currently stands, A Girl in the City is less glamorous Manhattan and more spray-tanned Jersey Shore.

An original RPG game that has a ton of potential, and worth checking out. Hopefully the developers continue to release updates and improvements to the game. There is talk of them also creating an online version of the game which should be interesting.

The concept is fairly original and the controls are simple to use.

But the excitement and newness will wear quickly, and when it does, what remains is a game that feels dated and uninspired, and it leaves you wanting something a little more ambitious.

Finger Slayer isn't a deep game, but as a momentary distraction it does the job.

I confess, I really wanted this app to be great, but history has shown time and time again that licensed games tend to be pretty disappointing, and Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time is no exception. While it's far from a total failure, it just doesn't really satisfy.

Despite the little quirks, which can all be fixed with an updated version, I found myself continuously restarting after dying in each game; there is definitely a certain addictiveness to the game.

In general, I found Candy Train to be pleasant and certainly a very good deal for the price, but it's not a super-exciting game and while not entirely dull, it's not going to keep you occupied for more than a few minutes here and there.

This app is fun for awhile but will become repetitive sooner or later.

Gold & Chocolate is a slow game by design, and while it is really and truly beautiful to behold, it is more likely to lull you to sleep than engage and entertain.

Although jewel puzzle games are not for me, they do hearken back to old favorites such as Tetris, and thereby earn at least a barely tolerable place in my heart.

The trick is, your first few attempts each time give better results, since as you get tired, your performance drops. As a results the game creates some descent replay ability.

Overall, Mister Miguel's is kind of like a lone taco: even with a little too much hot sauce, it isn't bad, but there's just not enough there to make a full meal.

I won't deny that Bop It has a very clean user and kid-friendly interface, and it can be fun, if rather hyperactive, but the overall experience is undeniably awkward on the iPhone and it's a far cry from the toy's humble, molded plastic origins.

Overall, I think Cardboard Castle is an amusing game for what it is. If you like trial and error type of games, funny visual effects, and something with a storybook charm, I suggest getting this app which at $0.99 is reasonably priced.

If you're a fan of arcade shooters like Time Crisis or House of the Dead, Zombie Crisis 3D is definitely a game to check out.

The gameplay is fun and refreshing, the cars all feel the same, and the level design is average.

All in all, I enjoy the simple game at the heart of Dice Tower. I'm not sure if the additional scoring rules are necessary, but other players may enjoy the added challenge and strategy. In a way, it can be as easy or as difficult as the player wants.

It would be great if Biscuit Games would add more features to make it feel like I am in a colosseum. They can do this by including boss monsters on every five or ten levels and maybe include a way to judge your performance such as spectators throwing tomatoes at you if you are doing poorly or helpful items if you are doing a great job.

If you're into challenging puzzle games, this would be a game for you. But if you're the type that likes to skim through games quickly, stay away from this one.

Story mode was also much shorter than I expected, but Survival, Puzzle, and something called Gauntlet mode help to up the replay value a bit, as well as Game Center integration.
