If you’re looking for a visual murder mystery, you will fully enjoy the app, but if you’re expecting a puzzle game, you will be disappointed. With that in mind, Layton Brothers Mystery Room is worth considering, and you can give the first two cases a try for free.

Aside from the movement controls, Terra Monsters is mechanically well put together. The monsters look good, too. The problem is that everything else comes up short. There's no real harm in downloading it for free and sampling the first island, though.

Manuganu ($0.99, Universal) is sadly one to skip despite the promising outlook simply because it’s just another bland entry into the App Store that you’ve seen before, and will see again, hopefully with a little more action.
