Hardcore FPS gamers may find many hours of pure fun with the Aliens vs. Predator multiplayer mode. Should you decide to stick with solo play, I'm afraid you'll find little of real value.

Although BioShock 2 isn't as much of an eye-opener for die-hard fans, there are still some well-implemented surprises throughout the single-player campaign.

As they demonstrated with Dead Space, Visceral Games is capable of more than what they have done with this game.

One of the reasons why this game received a lower score is because it left too many things untold and, while I appreciate the effort to create an immersive authentic world laid to waste by a nuclear disaster, I simply can't escape the recurring feeling that something is missing in this game.

In the end, Star Trek Online is a mixed bag. If you are a Star Trek fan you will get a huge kick out of being able to pilot your own ship into combat and having brushes with people places and things you have seen in the series and movies. Gamers who are not fans will still find a beautiful game with wonderful audio and music, but the shortcomings in gameplay outside of space combat leave much to be desired.

Everything BioWare did to improve the game has lead to satisfying results. Such efforts actually redefine how sequels should be made. This was one of the most memorable gaming experiences we've had in recent history.

In the end, it's not a question of taste or player skill. Dark Void is filled from top to bottom with lousy design choices, technical flaws and overall crappy and uninteresting gameplay mechanics.

Players looking for a captivating story will be sorely disappointed. There were some honest efforts to integrate an interesting narrative through comic-book inspired cut-scenes. The results, sadly, brought about nothing more than an unclear storyline with a weak and confusing moral structure.

After a while, it all turns into a dull routine, with precious little replay value. For an RPG, this is not good.

Bayonetta is an exceedingly challenging action game and there's no doubt you'll spend a lot of hours playing it. Every so often it does become too chaotic for the average player.

A genuinely pleasing strategy experience with strong emphasis on role-playing. Armored Princess, basically, offers the same kind of experience as the original, except this time they've added a few cool extra components to make things a more enjoyable for players.

The ending is, of course, something I do not wish to spoil for you guys, but it needs to be said that Assassin's Creed 2 comes to a decent conclusion. So much so that I cannot wait to find out what the folks at Ubisoft Montreal have prepared for the franchise's next outing.

The new weapons, Infected and graphical update is the shot in the arm players were looking for to expand the PvP experience.

All things considered, the first-rate production values, challenging missions and compelling atmosphere should keep you hooked (though for a brief period). The most obvious problem with the main campaign is that it's too darn short, hardly worth the game's retail price.

Players can expect a thoroughly entertaining and deep single-player RPG experience with an intriguing plot, solid quest structure, exciting gameplay and an unbelievably vast world to explore.

If you're asking this gamer for advice - DiRT 2 is a bit aggressive and in-your-face, NFS: Shift is basically a letdown, but Forza Motorsport 3 is the racer to own in 2009.

The fact remains that if you're looking for a fast, smart and fun fantasy themed team-based strategy game, you can't go wrong here.

Pure and addictive RPG-flavored FPS action, extremely engaging co-op and altogether a vast and mysterious world waiting to be explored.

It's a been a while since we've had a proper puzzle flavored adventure game and in that sense Machinarium brings more than a satisfactory choice of challenges. If it weren't for certain gameplay mishaps, the game would've got more attention altogether.

It's a labor of love and it's fun. The variety of missions and humor mix well and should be enough to hook anyone.

Do yourself a favor and check out this title on the PC and not on the Xbox 360.

There are several things that make Halo 3: ODST a winning combination. The story presentation and characterization clearly evolved beyond what we're used to witnessing in prior Halo games.

WET's distinct over-the-top action is ironically its primary weakness.

When you consider all the ups and downs of this one, I must admit it just doesn't retain thrill we've got from titles like Most Wanted and the Underground series.

You are missing out on so much if you decide not to play this game.

Again, I say this as someone who's been playing the Colin McRae games ever since the first one came out; DiRT 2 is still a great racing game. While it doesn't deliver the kind of comprehensive single-player like in earlier CMR titles, it certainly stands on its own and adds many welcomed elements to the license (hence the higher mark).

The ability for players to jump in and out of the game in Party Play removes a lot of hassle of previous games when you are just looking to kill some time with friends.
