Dragon Quest XI S is a great example of how to revitalize a video game more than a year after its launch.

Code Vein has a good approach, changing the classic level system with a new one that allows multiple configurations and presets. However, the challenge is too easy and ends up not taking good advantage of this system. This added to a very loose story that constantly interrupts the action and a level design that is too simple for the genre, takes a lot of interest away from the game.

An independent ray of light in a dark forest full of triple-A projects. Inspired, hard and charming: this is one of the titles you must play… now on Nintendo Switch.

The easy way to play and know about one of the greatest card games in history. Magic Arena takes the best from Magic: The Gathering and put in a nice and exemplar F2P experience.

Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a great platform game with a clever and defiant level design, a colourful main world that you will love exploring thanks its puzzles, and the soul of the best games of the classic Rare.

Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince may be the most continuist game of the series, which returns to the path set by Trine 2, but does not forget to create the most beautiful entry of all, with very clever, well-balanced puzzles.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint is an acceptable attempt at the MMO lite genre with refined gameplay and co-op mechanics, but fails to deliver a steady pulse of interesting objectives and dungeons to test our skills. Players who want an interesting campaign and enjoyable side quests will probably feel disappointed by the grindy, unexciting content out there.

Divinity: Original Sin II is the perfect definition of freedom in the role-playing genre. What Larian Studios has achieved here exceeds all expectations. It’s inspired by the classics, but it wants to innovate. It picks up elements from the original, but improves on them and expands them. Few RPGs can carry their acronym more proudly than the game we have here.

The dream come true in an exemplary remake of the 1993's classic videogame for Game Boy. It recalls all that veteran players knew about the game, while it gives to new players the possibility of guessing why it was one of the best Zelda games ever made.

Daemon X Machina has an attractive approach, with a striking technical and artistic execution, a careful history and a very convincing manganime audio-visual section. However, it fails in the basics: the gameplay.

An excellent platformer and action game, with a smart metroidvania layer on the top. It looks to the Wonder Boy classics, but still maintains the focus on achieving a modern game, with a good gameplay variety and deep. A complete surprise.

Remnant: From the Ashes lies somewhere in between Dark Souls and your typical randomized rogue-like. It features an intense co-op PvE combat formula, mixed with a beautifully crafted world and a smart understanding of the RPG features. As a result, it will give you a nearly infinite amount of satisfactory playthroughs.

Control is Remedy's most daring work. A courageous level design that encourages exploration and limits visual guides is mixed with fierce combat. In the second half, this combate can be somewhat monotonous and repetitive. Its story is neither the best nor is it told in the best way. Quite the opposite of its setting, which seduces the player with shocking scenarios and situations.

There's no anthology in The Dark Pictures anthology yet, but his first history, Man of Medan, bring an (enjoyable?) ghost history in high sea. Some little problems in the continuity of the plot and annoying image freezing moments, but a great first step in the new horror game of Supermassive Games.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne doesn't seem interested in doing anything revolutionary, but it opens up a vast new range of possibilities on a game that already invested a lot in updating the classic hunting formula. The ultimate version of MHW feels deep, challenging, rewarding and easy to navigate, but it could've had a wider variety of beasts to slay.
