Lord of the Rings: Conquest is a videogame too far from excellence to be recommendable without making some kind of warning marks before. Those who don't like the senseless button smashing will not enjoy this game, but if you are a fan of both the Tolkien universe and the online battles you will find here an honest but reiterative entertainment.

Legacy of Kain: Ascendance is a strange game that, honestly, I’ll remember more for its controversial story than for what it brought to the table in terms of gameplay. It’s clear the title serves as a bridge to try and revive the franchise, and adapting the events of the Dead Shall Rise comic is an interesting choice to explore Raziel's long-awaited vampiric past. However, as a game, it feels underwhelming. It features a 2D action-platforming mix that is far too simple and suffers from repetitive environments, even with the addition of three playable characters. It’s not a bad game, but it reminds me of those classic 90s movie tie-ins: attractive because of the license, but lacking any real inspiration in their design.

It's very far from being the best game in the genre, but it's still a choice if you are a fan of this kind of farmer simulator games. Anyway, there are a lot of better games out there.

Son of Nor has a lot of good ideas, but it's not a good video game. The interactive possibilities with the environment are great and even some puzzles are clever, but this is a game that could have been better.

The beloved Angry Birds return to iOS and Android devices with a puzzle game as simple as fun… but very uninventive.

Poor mechanics and a not so deep battle system make Battle of Z a failed attempt to recover the magic in the Dragon Ball videogame series.

A brilliant party proposal, but unfortunately it suffers a strong lack of content.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood fails to adapt his work to the video game as it would have been desirable. It is a title that to some extent is enjoyable and its limited duration of no more than 8-10 hours is a good endorsement if you are interested in giving it a try. However, you should not expect too much from its stealth system, the enemy AI is too scarce and the combats end up being repetitive and not very precise in its execution. On the positive side, I am left with the transformations in lupus or Crinos, especially the latter, as well as with the moments in which the program seems to want to do something different. I think that the lack of definition due to a specific style of play is what has ended up weighing down a title than I expected a bit more. [Not recommended]

Arcade boxing is coming to the next-gen in order to break faces in a very original and artistic way. Smashing buttons is the key in Facebreaker to punch rivals and perform acrobatics over a good but incomplete videogame. It could have been better if EA Canada had added more length and game modes to the punching pack, but it's still a great opportunity to get funny and easy gameplay.

Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia is a good comeback of Bakugan but maybe only suitable for kids. Its battles are too slow and his campaign it’s not too deep. His magic is within his online mode against close friends.

Planet 51 is an action-racing game for the teenagers and for the fans of the film. We can take control over three characters like Chuck, Lem and the funny Rover. We have simple and easy missions where we should out run the police and the army too, driving cars, motorbikes and trucks. The control has some issues affecting the experience in the game.

Shadwen is capable of the best and worst. Frozenbyte has created an interesting stealth and assassination game with some unique gameplay mechanics, but an awful AI and a rather limited action ruins a potentially promising premise.

Akaneiro is a good action-RPG, but it's very far from what we expected. It's repetitive and does not present the best face from the free-to-play. We hope the game will better in the coming weeks.

Although Redfall has some bright ideas as a new IP, chances are we will never see them blossom into something worth our time: it's undoubtedly a flawed game by design and its genuine lack of polish casts it into the abyss of irrelevance and mediocrity. You might like some of its aspects if you really want to play it with your Game Pass subscription, but you almost definitely won't hold any memories of it after you finish its so-called "campaign".

The Williams have preferred to pay a faithful homage to the original design, and that makes it a very interesting historical piece, but also a missed opportunity to adapt the game to a current audience that will find friction and a certain lack of logic to its puzzles and mazes.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance left us with mixed feelings. Sure it’s been able to capture the distinctive fun and goofiness from the original tabletop game, some map mechanics are interesting and they got the loot portion done just right. Still, combat is so clunky and faulty one can’t help but wish they spent more time polishing it. [Not recommended]
