When the level design isn't constricting and there aren't too many variables, Feed the Duck is definitely a lot of fun.

Simply Poker Squares is by far the best solitaire game I've ever played, not just on the iPad, but in general.

Qvoid is an inventive puzzle game with beautiful graphics and a steady learning curve. The challenges are engrossing and complex enough to be entertaining without overly frustrating.

This is a great looking game as well and it is very well animated. Players will enjoy this game's challenge and charm, and they may be shocked by how much fun they have with it.

For the length it does last, though, Helion is fun enough puzzling debut by Tn. The game does stamp its individuality, even if it's just a little bit of individuality, on an already much ploughed genre.

An excellent download for anyone looking to play some online Texas Hold 'Em on the go. In fact, I much prefer playing Zynga Poker on my iPhone or iPad over using the Facebook version. The interface is much cleaner, and the experience that much better.

Fashion Story could be fun for young girls who have yet to learn that if Barbie were anatomically correct, she would actually topple over. For me, Fashion Story just doesn't cut it, and is not worth my time – or, more appropriately, my investment.

Alien Space Retro's strength comes not just from its aesthetically-pleasing vector graphics, but also its gameplay, which is at times deeper than other dual-stick shooters.

An excellent effort. It's neat, simple, frantic, and very, very addictive, and a suitable new home for my words-based superpower.

BlibBlob is a childlike game that is complex enough for adults to enjoy. The controls are easy to pick up, the storyline is cute, and while the repaly value is not the best – unless the player is on OpenFeint – who cares when there are stars to gather, secret passageways to discover and fruity bonus points to eat.

An ambitious attempt to bring the brooding action and noir storytelling of Max Payne to a platform that has seen nothing even remotely close. In this sense the game is a runaway success. However, those that are looking for a meaty storyline that they can really sink their teeth into need not apply, because they will be drastically disappointed.

The graphical style is basic but cutesy and it's certainly very easy to just pick up and play. For those wanting a less than cerebral offering, Pocket RPG could be just what they want. RPG fans will need to look elsewhere for their next fix however.

Minor quibbles aside, Trenches Generals is an engaging, fresh take on the stale tower defense genre. While it is a far cry from a true wargame or a simulation, it has enough atmosphere to connect players to the time period and the game itself – and I STILL don't like to see my little soldiers die.

The spot-the-difference game works well enough, but for a couple of qualms. The first is that occasionally the precision of the touch controls is a bit off, particularly with the smaller, subtler differences. That's annoying because you get penalized. Secondly, forcing me have to complete five puzzles in a row before I can move on to the next five, and then making it that I have to replay all five puzzles if I run out of time is a little too penalizing.

The sheer number of puzzles included in the game means that it will keep players busy for quite a long time, and that isn't even counting the 1000+ user generated levels that have been created with the game's included level editor. This game isn't just fluff, there is tons of cute woolly content to enjoy.
