The charming animations, the simple touch controls, and the easy to enjoy gameplay. Beeing is a simple game. There aren't any industry shaking new game mechanics or bleeding edge graphics, but it's good fun done well.

Exploring the problems of mental illness, struggling with gender identity and many more mature topics, Demon Chic is a surreal RPG like no other.

Anodia does everything just right. It sticks to a tried and tested formula but adds a much needed dose of originality to make it a great game in its own right.

It's a case of brains over brawn in puzzler Hellraid: The Escape, as players take down demonic foes using only their ingenuity and the environment itself.

Fluxe isn't as easily accessible as something like Tetris but for fans of the genre keen for a new challenge, it is an enjoyable take on the proven formula.

Gasketball is like basketball, but with portals and buzzsaws. Also, it's playable over the internet, which is difficult to do with a real basketball.

While Keri Racing may not be the most polished or viscerally compelling Freemium title on the App Store, it does the genre right. It's probably not something that will draw in too many older iOS gamers but I could definitely see the kiddies loving it.

Cut the Rope is ingenious, following a similar formula to Angry Birds – charming graphics, simple gameplay that gets complexity steadily layered on top of it in a way that feels natural, almost without even feeling like it's getting more difficult.

Rope'n'Fly 4 is high-flying fun. Just don't get intimate with the concrete.

There's a reason why these games keep getting re-released on newer systems, it's because they're classics. The rules and mechanics that these games introduced are still the basis of most fighting games to this day, and they are more than just a history lesson; they're still very fun to play.

Masters of Mystery: Blood of Betrayal might not be particularly innovative but it's a fun evolution for a series that has already demonstrated what can be done so well within the Hidden Object genre.

Want a simple to learn but difficult to master iOS game that's perfect for short bursts of play and lengthy sessions? 3volution is it. No, really, this is it. Stop looking.

Traffic Master takes what might sound like a somewhat mundane task – controlling traffic – and turns it into a surprisingly fun and challenging game. This one's worth checking out, and it's only a dollar.

It's increasingly possible to get a big console-style game on mobile, but the inherent drawback of touchscreen controls and the lack of tactility are really the only aspects that hold N.O.V.A. 3 back. Those who are prepared to look past them are the ones that will have a great time with this.

Certain rather important maneuvers can be difficult to pull of with any regularity, but Combo Crew is fun enough for it to not matter very much.

If you are unwavering in your quest for victory, Be2 may be one of the best apps you've played in a long time. I do wish that the controls were more straightforward, perhaps allowing for vertical and horizontal control on every screen. I've never been one to criticize difficulty, but Escape From Pongland can get ridiculously difficult at times.

A very fun and well-designed game. The graphics and soundtrack are very good and the game play is simple. The only draw back is the incentive to purchase credits to speed up unlocking items and upgrades.
