Even with the most critical of eyes, Need for Speed: Most Wanted is still easily one of the best racers on the platform to date. You would have to be crazy not to take this hot rod out for a nice long joy ride. EA and Firemonkey have once again re-defined what it means to play racing games on iOS.

Despite the control flaws and the repeating levels, there is a world of good fun here. You can easily pick this up, fight a foe in a few minutes, and go back to work and still feel like you accomplished something.

Battlehorn tries to ride the line between being simplistic without being a unit spam game. It doesn't quite succeed, but is still fun.

Sparkle 2: EVO feels like a much more complete version of the PlayStation Network title, Flow. Some of the levels go on for too long, but the combination of relaxed gameplay, top-notch graphics, smooth control scheme and Game Center integration means the player will come back time and again.

Eustrath definitely has its flaws, but if you can get past the mind-numbing dialogue, there is surprising depth to the game with some good RPG elements to be played. It's definitely deeper, game play wise, than your average iOS gaming app.

About the only thing that bothers me about Zombiewood is the virtual sticks. Their hit boxes just feel too small. I suppose it also takes a bit to earn Special Money to use on fancier stuff, but the daily slot machine and multiplayer challenge mode (a.k.a. The Arena) are both viable ways to earn it faster. I have to admit I had my doubts, but Gameloft has really come through here and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Since I'm not a tower defense connoisseur I can't say for certain whether or not this will excite people who are. But as someone who tends to skirt the genre I can admit that I'm absolutely obsessed with Elf Defense.

If you like rhythm games at all, or even just games in general and have any sense of timing, Rhythm Spirit is for you. It looks great, plays great, and is one of the most unique experiences that you will find in the App Store.

Even though there is no soundtrack (insert pouting), Leap Worm is a great game that will appeal to younger gamers and advanced gamers alike. The sound effects are satisfying, the challenges exciting and layered, and with 4 levels of difficulty to choose from, Leap Worm is bound to provide hours of gravitational fun.

If you love a good mystery and games that make you feel clever, I highly recommend buying The Room today.

Get ready to hit the hazardous highway again in this upgraded, but just as addictive, apocalyptic sequel.

Worms Crazy Golf is an all-in-one entertainment pack that includes exciting gameplay, exploding worms and some very difficult obstacles to overcome on the way to a hole in one. This game is fun for golfers and non-golfers who don't mind adding a few strokes onto their game to explore the course and unlock a few surprises.

Dragon Quest VIII for mobile isn't a flawless port of the PlayStation 2 masterpiece, but it's still well worth playing.

Little Alchemist is a really fun freemium card game that suffers from typical freemium issues.

This rhythm game has a unique control scheme and performance system that make it feel like a true innovation in the genre.

Even with the relatively short gameplay, WackyLands Boss is well worth the $0.99 asking price. The level of polish alone is worth the price of admission, and getting to pound the heads of hundreds upon hundreds of little human soldiers just puts the game over the top.

Little Things Forever won't appeal to those who like tons of action or marauding zombies, but for the mellower solving set and as a family activity it's a delight. It's also the rare game where I urge you to turn the volume up – even the music makes for a wonderfully addictive experience.

Stylish and gripping, The Detail is brief but wonderful.

I admit, I tend to get sucked right into these time-management, tower-building games, but if keeping these squirrels happy is the name of the game, I'm more than happy to oblige.

While Parachute Ninja isn't an instant classic, it does have all the ingredients for it to jump into the top 10 of the App Store. The graphics are smooth and crisp, the gameplay is easy, yet can get hard at later levels, and the concept is simple enough to swallow all player types. The Story Mode on its own would be enough to garner high priase, but with the addition of the Survival Mode, Parachute Ninja really is a must buy.

Bouncy! is without a doubt one of my top go-to games for when I have a few spare minutes, with it's stunning graphics, fun and inviting gameplay and addictive incentives (such as new trampolines), many avid iOS gamers might just find themselves also charmed by it.

I’m not sure Journey is best experienced on mobile, but it’s still a fantastic game. If this is the only way you would play it, you should definitely do so. The compromise in bringing Journey to the App Store didn’t significantly impact my enjoyment of it. All of the most important stuff is still there, and that’s worth celebrating.

Whether you know the games that inspired Kickin Momma or not, it stands on its own ugly workbooks as a wonderful addictive monster-kickin' good time.
