If you are looking for a way to revisit the game or are charmed by the game's aesthetic, Neo Turf Masters is definitely worth picking up. If you're in some other camp, you probably won't be disappointed playing it, though it does have some issues that might hamper your enjoyment.

Robbery Bob's learning curve is gradual, and while the level designs are not the most innovative, there are enough incentives to keep fans replaying, with lots of checkpoints and frequent instructions to make moving forward easy for the less committed. Robbery Bob is not the deepest stealth game on the App Store, but for the price it's definitely worth checking out for short burst of shifty fun.

It might not be the best arcade racer from a technical standpoint, but Split/Second offers plenty of incentive to warrant a purchase.

Reiner Knizia's Modern Art: The Card Game is a good, but not great, adaptation of the real thing. Eurogamers will enjoy it for what it is, but others may long for more.

Draw a Stickman: Epic is a little rough around the edges, but there's this constant sense of whimsy that acts as a constant (pardon the pun) draw. That and it's just silly fun to draw flames on various objects and then watch them burn.

It's not often that there's a story within a ball rolling game but the unique Ball of Woe manages it with aplomb.

For the amount of gameplay, assortment of tracks, player modes and use of the Caterham cars, SlotZ Racer Caterham Special is more than a stepping stone, it's legit entertainment worth the download.

I can’t honestly call RPG Aeon Avenger the next big iOS RPG, but it’s certainly not a bad entry into the genre. The story isn’t exactly captivating and the combat is fairly standard, but it does make use of an interesting equipment system that’s worth experimenting with.

Trick Shot 2 is an easy-to-play and simple puzzler which sticks to what it knows. It may not be particularly advanced, but it's still good fun for what it is.

Gluonia is worth a look if you're desperate for a new physics based puzzler but currently it just doesn't stand out from the crowd sufficiently enough to be worth recommending above all others.

Burly Men at Sea is a totally beautiful but flawed game. Although it starts with a bang and has a beautiful moment of discovery in it, you'll find that there's little to look forward to soon after you've started it.

VoidScapes is worth playing if only to see how one would go about updating something as ancient as rock, paper, scissors. It's held back but the inherent simplicity of the concept but it's a valiant effort all the same. Here's hoping for an update that adds that schoolyard favorite: an unbeatable nuclear bomb option.

One of the only problems that I experienced when playing Wild Defense HD was that I didn't realize I'd unlocked the ability to upgrade my units (for more damage and other stats) until a few levels after I had done so.
