While, as a shower-crooner, I find it fun, replay is hard to incentivize without purchaseables. The social element is there, but it's not promoted, the unwanted game requests are annoying, and the interface is bland. Also, the ad-free version is overpriced at $4.99.

Extreme Skater has a gradual learning curve and keeps it simple, while including lots of extras for more serious players to enjoy. It's not the most intense extreme sports game out there, but for a light summer diversion it's a very solid, well-priced choice.

The visuals are simple and straightforward, but there is tons of variation in the types of obstacles and creatures players will meet on their way out of the cave. Essentially, it's a soccer themed puzzle game. Figuring out the best route to take and lining up shots just right is the focus here. While it's not possible to deviate from the original plan, there are still some important physics to take into account. Unlocking Pro mode reinforces this as it takes line drawing speed into account which can change everything.

The graphics are a mix of upgrades and seemingly older assets. That there are pixellation issues at all is rather inexcusable for a sequel. The new backgrounds and user interface elements are crisp and clean-looking, while the little brain and distraction icons seem to be the exact same assets from the previous game. This feels a little like being cheated.
