    I don't even know why the whole fandom and not even fans were hoping for a Melodrama 2.0, this is an exquisite record. Lorde not only brings us a piece of art but a piece of nature as well. The whole sound setting is brilliant, you can hear cicadas plenty of times on this record, you can even hear sirens, the traffic going crazy. It's all acoustic, nothing to dance around on a dance floor,I don't even know why the whole fandom and not even fans were hoping for a Melodrama 2.0, this is an exquisite record. Lorde not only brings us a piece of art but a piece of nature as well. The whole sound setting is brilliant, you can hear cicadas plenty of times on this record, you can even hear sirens, the traffic going crazy. It's all acoustic, nothing to dance around on a dance floor, or maybe you can. There's even a reply to Ribs, like a letter from the future to her young self.     This album is great. There's a very noticeable evolution in Lorde's music. You can tell she poured her heart and her artistry in this album. Definitely not for everyone.

Solar Power traz uma novidade para a discografia da Lorde com sua essência tropical, animada e íntima, nos trazendo a uma viagem nostálgica em pitadas de Pure Heroine ao seu lado crítico, detalhe que havíamos perdido um pouco em Melodrama. Entretanto, essa obra é um caminho extremamente diferente do que vimos antes e compará-la com seus outros dois álbuns seria ultrajante por sua integridade.

    The Path abre o álbum com um caráter quase divino, a música possui harmonias incríveis e sugere logo de início que vocalmente o álbum irá nos surpreender e muito, é um início surreal de cativante.

    Solar Power nos traz até a praia, como lead single foi divisora de opiniões, mas a faixa sempre foi um acerto para o culto dos jovens transcendentais.

    California é a sequência e o nosso clima tropical só esquenta ainda mais, a faixa invade nossos ouvidos com uma linda melodia e uma atmosfera cada vez mais ensolarada, ela traz esse seu aspecto romântico que tanto amamos ver a Lorde falar sobre.

    Stoned At The Nail Salon foi o segundo single e deixou muitos decepcionados, mas sinto que nunca foi uma queda. Muito pelo contrário. A música traz metáforas da nostalgia e da passagem do tempo, Lorde aqui se perde nas areias do tempo e em seus pensamentos até quando se encontra em situações cotidianas, provando-se gente como a gente. Ou não sei, talvez ela só estivesse chapada na praia.

    Fallen Fruit é um dos picos avassaladores do álbum, a faixa fala sobre o aquecimento global e a ansiedade que cerca esse evento se maneira quase apocalíptica, ela nos traz para uma atmosfera dramática e intimidadora, repleta de vocais e harmonias incríveis e um instrumental extremamente refinado, alto e transcendental.

    E é em Secrets From A Girl (Who's Seen it All) que Lorde conversa com seu eu lírico mais jovem e diz para si mesma que tudo vai ficar bem, afastando as impressões que teve na faixa Ribs, de seu primeiro álbum, Pure Heroine, que fala sobre o medo de envelhecer e da ansiedade sobre o futuro.

    The Man With The Axe é uma das únicas faixas que nos deixa em ressaca de músicas felizes, ela tem sua atmosfera triste e sua letra repleta de um sentimento de saudade, porém havia um potencial de ir mais a fundo e talvez ser até mesmo a faixa do álbum. Aqui, sinto que Lorde poderia ter intensificado seus sentimentos e trazer uma explosão de tristeza para desestabilizar seus ouvintes ao meio do álbum.

    Dominoes é uma música leve, descontraída e jovem. Ainda assim, tem uma das melhores bagagens líricas do álbum inteiro. Continue de olho, essa música envelhecerá como o mais puro vinho.

    Big Star é mais uma faixa nostálgica e carregada de sentimentos repletos de antíteses, ela está aqui falando sobre sua vivência e perda de seu pet. A letra é linda e o instrumental aparece em tom baixo em conjunto com a voz de Lorde.

    Leader of a New Regime surge quase como interlúdio no álbum, se é que não é um próprio interlúdio. Ela almeja por um guia, um líder, mas a música em si tem seu significado completo em conjunto com a próxima faixa.

    Mood Ring é outro dos auges do álbum, ela traz um caráter crítico e fecha o ciclo de singles antes do lançamento do álbum. Com uma melodia bastante pop, aqui estão presentes críticas sobre uma sociedade que se apoia em práticas espirituais e naturais que não chegam a lugar algum, que morrem na praia. Ela entrega ao ouvinte belas harmonias, uma letra tão cativante e coesa que quase nos esquecemos que na realidade é um tapa na cara. Mood Ring também se refere às redes sociais, que levamos como modelo para nossos próprios sentimentos.

    Oceanic Feeling fecha o álbum de maneira extremamente tocante e imersiva, aqui nos rendemos a uma introdução bastante íntima, a letra e melodia nos carrega para uma viagem quase que divina ao longo da música, aos confortos dos deuses de Solar Power e com uma jornada ritualística que inclui até mesmo oferendas.

    Em conclusão, o álbum é o terceiro acerto de Lorde que promete envelhecer cada vez melhor com o passar dos anos. De maneira totalmente desassociada do comercial, Ella nos surpreende mais uma vez. Uma das poucas características que acaba desaparecendo no álbum são pontes de um refrão à conclusão das músicas, seria um ponto estrutural que sem dúvidas enriqueceria muito mais a obra.    … Expand

    This album has showed me a different side of Lorde and I'm loving this refreshing, healing, pure vibe. This is way different from her past albums but this change is leading me into the sun. The vocals are immaculate, and once again her song writing skills never disappoints. Lorde never makes a bad song, that's all I can say now.

    I love the album and as a fan who religiously waited for 4 years, I am not disappointed. I didn't ask for a Pure Heroine nor Melodrama 2.0 and she delivered. This is a completely different Lorde and I am willing to grow up with her. Again, I love it!

    Such a beautiful, well-done and sonically cohesive album. It is so dreamy and its lyrics will remind you of some of the topics that Lorde used to sing about back in her debut album Pure Heroine. This is a very intimate work from her with an almost ethereal production. This is very worth listening to and you will experience from sun beach energy to melancholic vintage-vibe melodies. ComeSuch a beautiful, well-done and sonically cohesive album. It is so dreamy and its lyrics will remind you of some of the topics that Lorde used to sing about back in her debut album Pure Heroine.     A magnificent album of Lorde happier than ever. The 2 bonus tracks of the deluxe version are some of the best songs on the album. Solar Power album is a mood.

    Começando pelo design da capa, que é um sucesso no quesito chamar atenção. As formas e o corpo estão dispostos de maneira bem dinâmica, com um bom contraste entre as cores da pele e da roupa perante o céu. Harmônico. O título "Solar Power" foi claramente inspirado na art Noveau e no movimento hippie, uma ótima e agradável revisitada à esses estilos tão amplos e dignos de um retorno,Começando pelo design da capa, que é um sucesso no quesito chamar atenção. As formas e o corpo estão dispostos de maneira bem dinâmica, com um bom contraste entre as cores da pele e da roupa perante o céu. Harmônico. O título "Solar Power" foi claramente inspirado na art Noveau e no movimento hippie, uma ótima e agradável revisitada à esses estilos tão amplos e dignos de um retorno, principalmente ao analisarmos a forte regressão da estética anos 80' em nossa sociedade, bem como a força crescente do movimento ambientalista.
    Quanto as faixas, houve certa antecipação no lançamento de Mood Ring, Solar Power e Stoned at the Nail Salon, o que fez se destacarem perante as demais e se tornarem verdadeiras protagonistas.
    A estética utilizada no álbum inteiro é bem suave, contemporânea e relembra muito o movimento hippie, com referências ao misticismo, pedras, incenso e recursos naturais (nesse caso, ambientado na praia). Também é notável a recusa a lançar suas músicas em discos físicos, ressaltando ainda mais a questão ambiental.
    É perceptível uma certa tendência anti-pop, assim digamos, para as músicas que não se adequem perfeitamente para utilização em plataformas de vídeos curtos, como grande parte tem feito. Não há grande presença de batidas muito fortes nas faixas.
    Assim como com Billie Eilish, existe uma forte mudança de estética e tom do passado ao presente, ainda mantendo o estilo de canto, voz e personalidade característicos. Por mais que muitos crítiquem essa mudança, acredito que tenha ela sito muito agradável e feita de forma cativante. Não acho justo nem viável as comparações com músicas de Lana del Rey ou até a forte cobrança baseada no hit internacional "Royals". É um álbum único e marcante, certamente um dos melhores de 2021.
    Finalizando, é visível que essa estética ganhará bastante espaço na música e em nossa sociedade, então acredito que será uma aposta bem considerável por parte de Lorde. O álbum pode não ganhar visibilidade como outros sons pop-rap tem ganhado, já que não vejo muito esforço para ser utilizado em apps. De qualquer forma, é um álbum muito belo, orgânico, e de certa forma, transcendental. Por esses motivos explicitados, a nota é um íntegro 10.    … Expand

Her lyrical content on this album is outstanding and the minimalistic sounds are intriguing and personal. The vocals through each song are beautiful and has a unique and evolving nature throughout. Большой плюс ей за то, что через весь альбом сохраняется одна и та же тема и атмосфера, благодаря этому тебя глубоко погружает в какое-то тёплое лето.

Наподобие такого например в начале года выпустила Хейли Уильямс свой альбом "Flowers for Vases", на который почти всем было все равно из-за отсутствия промо.     Literally so good. Very 2000s and summery vibes from this album. I love how vulnerable and sad some of the songs actually were compared to the singles. This album is definitely an acquired taste and I love it so much.

Solar power is a lyrical masterpiece and a technique magnum opus lorde goes through multiple layers and themes the aesthetics are absolutely stunning and the lush backing vocals on the track adds some variation with the opener The Path it's a up beat track about not being a savior and her younger self with that going to the closer oceanic feeling a 6 min track that keeps me engaged the more I listen I absolutely loved this track and I wanna see more lorde!… Expand

    I think Lorde's new album "Solar Power" will be a major surprise contender for Album of the Year at the 2022 #GRAMMYs.

    Regularly, there are less "popular" albums that win the #GRAMMYs but particularly well produced, beautiful, filled with instruments like Lorde's album.

The reason why this album gets such low reviews from publications like The In*****dent or P******rk is not because it is bad, but because it isn't what they expected: a Melodrama 2.0 (they rated Justin Bieber's 'Justice' higher, and I suppose you realize that there is no way in this world to even associate Lorde's craft with-Impeccable album, pristine songwriting, superb production. The reason why this album gets such low reviews from publications like The In*****dent or P******rk is not because it is bad, but because it isn't what they expected: a Melodrama 2.0 (they rated Justin Bieber's 'Justice' higher, and I suppose you realize that there is no way in this world to even associate Lorde's craft with- whatever it is that Bieber does). Lorde has grown and evolved and this is the most natural route that an artist like her could ever take: a more relaxed and pleasant route. Differently from her other records, she did not try to please the audience with this one, and she herself has said that all she intented was to 'please herself' with the perfect lyrics. Some of the hints of this album are cryptic, and we wouldn't get the references without Lorde herself explaining them to us (e.g. the lyric related to the princess of Norway in The Man with the Axe or the whole Big Star track which is, despite being sprinkled with Liability references, actually about her dog). Its an album that grows for anyone with each listen, and it is an album that you cannot enjoy by not paying attention to the lyrics.     AMAZING! This album is soft and mature, and has some extraordinary tracks like Fallen Fruit, The Path and California. It ends with Oceanic Feeling, that close the album with so much feeling and emotion. Lorde is flawless as always.

    Totally different sound. With each album she's grew as a person, which is totally visible throughout this entire record. Would highly reccomend, fallen fruit being her best track on the album, a letter to her parents generation on the climate crisis that hadn't been addressed when it should of been. 10/10

    This is an instant classic. An organic album that consists of carefully-picked choices from Ella. It just flows like the ocean; it shines just like the rays of sun; and after a few sessions with this masterpiece, you'll certainly find yourself getting scarred with some sunburn imprint.     All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.
