Aug 21, 2021This album is literally healing the planet as we speak. A grower that deserves great attention to the songwriting and lyrics.
-
Aug 21, 2021
-
Aug 21, 2021A grower. Definitely deserves more attention and care before the "critics" press enter here
-
Aug 21, 2021This is lorde untamed, at her most spiritual and self aware. Love this entirely
-
Aug 21, 2021Critics should realize that Lorde is not that angsty teen from Pure Heroine and Melodrama no more but a carefree, happy adult now in Solar Power.

Aug 21, 2021To think this album is rated very low is shocking. I deliver mail to this masterpiece. A beautiful album.
-
Aug 21, 2021Not bad, but not great. Lorde could give us so much more. A little bit disappointing, especially after Melodrama.
-
Aug 21, 2021So refreshing and thoughtful, perfect calmness after the melodrama storm, loved it.
-
Aug 21, 2021In short, this is a Jack Antonoff vanity project. Lorde shines on a few tracks (Stoned at the Nail Salon). Unfortunately, most of the album sounds like a "Chemtrails" B-Side. It's like Jack said, "hey Lorde, I have these songs Lana couldn't work with, can you?" Lorde proceeded to polish Jack's turd. Why did I give it a 9? Because it's still great overall and few tracks are amazing.
-
Aug 21, 2021So incredible! That's amazing! Lorde is wonderful! I feel in love with new álbum!
-
-
Aug 21, 2021I love it so much!! Thank u for always make art Ella, we missed you❤️ Favorite tracks: California, fallen fruit and oceanic feeling
-
Aug 21, 2021People didn't like Melodrama at first, and today it's considered a pop classic. I'm sure this will go down in the books as a memorable album in a year or two. Every summer from now on will have Solar Power as it's soundtrack. It's beautiful and heartfelt.
-
Aug 21, 2021Extremely underwhelming album. Jack Antonoff needs to be stopped. Sounds like a bad Lana Del Rey album
-
-
Aug 21, 2021boring. awful mixing. clunky and cliche lyrics. I couldn’t get through it.
-

-

Aug 21, 2021lorde’s third album is something audiences may not connect with on the first few listens. however, if heard in the right weather, right frame of mind, and right understanding, the singer/songwriter’s beautiful prose and eccentric persona shine through as bright as her beloved new zealand summer sun.
-
Aug 21, 2021This is the most flat, boring, and all around terrible album I’ve ever heard from a mainstream artist.
-

-
Aug 21, 2021She's grown so much, and this album absolutely shows that! The power of every song, lyrics and the feelings it gives you. I'm just gonna put this clear: you'll want to play repeat over and over, there's something missing from the first time you listen to the album, and once you fully understand how it's supposed to reach the public, hence all our senses, this album is a masterpiece.
-
Aug 21, 2021One of the most interesting moment that happened to pop music scene in 2021.
-

Aug 21, 2021Can we appreciate this new art that takes 4 years to arrive? I see a lot of people were expecting a Melodrama 2.0, but if Lorde does that then you will say “she is not reinventing herself”. So what now? APPRECIATE THIS ART, OR BETTER STOP LISTENING TO LORDE.
Este álbum tiene un 10/10 and you can't change my mind, haters. -
-
Aug 21, 2021Growing up with Lorde is an experience i am happy to be having. Another great album to a skipless discography.
-
Aug 21, 2021Please THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING, f*ck the professional critics who's comparing this PIECE OF ART with her another PIECE OF ART "Melodrama", Lorde come to bless us, she did it.
-
Aug 21, 2021Solar Power is freaking underrated by the critics. And i want this album to have a well deserved score from the critics
-

-
Aug 21, 2021A very interesting album with a shift in production and musical style. Some may say it's boring or lacks interesting production but it's the style she has chosen! And she's great at it
-
Aug 21, 2021It’s solar and magical! Congratulations Lorde! We need a deluxe version of this album with more musics and singles.

Aug 21, 2021This album is so bad beacuse the songs are so repeating and also very boring same old music I don't like it
-
Aug 21, 2021
-
Aug 21, 2021lord really knew how to reinvent himself and create a desired atmosphere of calm that anyone who listens falls in love. AS GOOD AS THE OTHER ALBUMS
-
Aug 21, 2021It isn't a bad album but in my point of view, it feels like something is missing and Lorde had a big potential of making this one of her best albums.
-
Aug 21, 2021Sonically awesome, I really liked it's cohesiveness. Lyrics are pretty good, too. But, record as a whole body of work hasn't drowned me in. It has me at Stoned At The Nail Salon (which is btw best song on the album), but lost me in continuation.
-
Aug 21, 2021every time i listen to solar power i learn a new thing, discover a new meaning, hear a new sound. this album is like a mine, the more you dig the more gems you find in this masterpiece of a record. this album is something to digest and savour over time. lorde has created an experience, not just an album.

Aug 21, 2021This album gets better every listen, the more you understand what's behinf the lyrics. So good.
-
Aug 21, 2021There is beautiful lyricism in this album and the vocals and harmonies really tie everything together
-
Aug 21, 2021An album full of magic, I loved it in its entirety. The vibe, the sounds, LOVED IT ALL
-

Aug 21, 2021Lorde did it again. Loved the album. It's growing on me pretty nicely. Perfect summer album.

Aug 20, 2021A few months ago, I was truly scared because I thought it was impossible to make an album that was on the same level as Melodrama. However, this album is magnificent. Lorde did it again. Listening to it is an out of this world experience. Lorde just keeps making art.
-
Aug 20, 2021Such a disappointment. I can’t believe it took 4 years for this mess. Most songs are boring, and does not show any form of growth
-

-
Aug 20, 2021perfect album, deep smooth and low melodies but perfect album, definitely Lorde always surprises in his musical line to remember how that teenager talked about social problems in Pure Heroine to then end a Melodramatic relationship to begin to reflect on his life and how the energy surrounds it Solar Power is different but not far from what Lorde represent very good album
-
Aug 20, 2021I love how The Path as the intro this album really talks about deeply about growth, about the beauty of the summer, about crisis we feel in the life, im very into this journey that lorde introduce. This album is my album. I love it so much
-
Aug 20, 2021Feels like a nice and clean weed trip, when you smoke alone thinking about your life, your family and everything in between. The solar power is real, its not for a tiktok dance or lipsync its for tou enjoy the voice and secrets of an angel (or girl) who have seen it all.
-
-
Aug 20, 2021This album smiles and winks at you with its’ constant hints to Lorde’s folk-rock forbears like Joni Mitchell ans The Mama’s and Papa’s. It truly feels like she’s become a lady of the canyon in this summery and shimmering work
-
Aug 20, 2021While Lorde’s lyrics still cut deep as she reaches the quarter life mark. Introspective and tongue in cheek. Solar Power is another solid body of work. But listening to this album, you do wonder, if Lorde collaborated with a different producer instead of Jack, what would this album sound like?
-
Aug 20, 2021This album is amazing. It’s different from what she had made the last few years, but it’s experimental and pretty much a grower on me (except fallen fruit and mood ring which is an instant bop). IM IN LOVE WITH THIS NEW DIRECTION!!
-
Aug 20, 2021She is so smart and the concept of the album is beautiful, Lorde knows perfectly how not to get out of the color in all the songs of the album.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021The album is worth waiting for. I love how Lorde is not afraid to change musical direction. The songwriting is astonishing. Critics should stop making her previous albums as the standard of her. I love Solar Power!
-
Aug 20, 2021I love Lorde! She's my favorite singer, but I'm disappointed! I always try to be open minded when an artist I like change their sound or voice, but I really love Lorde from "Pure Heroine" her deep voice and the beats... I love Melodrama too, I heard it so much that it would be ruined if it was a fisical CD, so I expected more from this one! :/
-
Aug 20, 2021It's not Lorde's problem that you still has an unresolved trauma with your ex and that you're expecting for another Melodrama album. Well, bestie you're just unhappy. Don't blame it to The Lorde. Get therapy.
-
-
Aug 20, 2021I like it, it's completely different from what she's done before and she nails it.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021Such a great new sound for Lorde. Beautiful and refined. Reminds me of happy summer days on the beach. Some things don’t have to be deep and intricate. Sometimes it’s nice to have something to sit and relax to.
-
Aug 20, 2021I expected a lot more, I thought this album was quite weak, i like the last her album
-
-
Aug 20, 2021everything I needed and didn't know! thank you lorde!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
Aug 20, 2021So OMG lorde you are amazing i Love this álbum is so emotional i can feel the connection tuya you has un every song i Love it Awwww so cute
-
Aug 20, 2021It's a really personal, deep and vulnerable album. As a Lorde fan since Pure Heroine, I'm still impressed with her ability of reinventing herself every time, with every music or album, and I feel so lucky for having the opportunity to access this new phase. It's incredible and Fallen Fruit is totally my favorite!!
-
Aug 20, 2021I love this album so much, it's just a chill, sunny, type of album with nice summer vibes. It's so different from what Lorde has been done with the last two albums. It's not for everyone, but I personally love it, it's very calming
-
Aug 20, 2021An absolutely beautiful album! It's about appreciating the life that you have. All the little moments. It's a reminder not everything in life has to be this big bang. I like that. I guess after going through everything we have in the last one and a half year, that's the reminder we needed!
-
Aug 20, 2021Lorde’s newly released album saved me from the pandemic. Hail to the queen!
-
Aug 20, 2021As she promised, she´s back with an amazing album to dance to under sunlight.
-
Aug 20, 2021It’s boring !!!!

-
Aug 20, 2021Beautiful lyrically and sonically. Lorde is simply ahead of us. This album will be a grower for everyone, I guarantee it. I just pride myself on the fact that I loved it on the first listen and when everyone suddenly flips in the next few months, I will show them this review as proof because I am better than them.
-
-
Aug 20, 2021Acoustic albums can be good, however, this album is acoustic, boring, and poorly crafted. Almost all of the songs are 4 chord progressions with no personality or whatsoever around them. It's a clear downgrade for Lorde to write about Zodiac, an attempt to sell while she claims to not care about money.
-
Aug 20, 2021
-
-
Aug 20, 2021once again Lorde brings us a cohesive album and we just need to acclaim this work of art
-
Aug 20, 2021She's done it again! Simply breathtaking and beautiful. If you're looking for a melodrama 2.0 you will be disappointed but that's the point. If you on the other hand is open for to take in this beautiful, raw and personal nature of Solar Power you will have a great time with it! Definitely worth checking out and spend time with!

Awards & Rankings
-
Aug 30, 2021All these connections Lorde is trying to make: her strange pastiche imagination of the ’70s, that random spoken word interlude by Robyn about climate change, and the themes of “sun healing,” never fully reach each other. Often, they come off as disingenuous and out of touch more than they read as brilliant, or comical. Whether the album is one big prank, or just one majorly failed experiment, the gist of having the “privilege to ignore” is lost in translation. All you are left with is just a handful of pretty alright songs.
-
Aug 26, 2021If you're riding and vibing with Lorde, this bright shapelessness is superb mood music. If you're not riding her wave, Solar Power can seem elusive, even cloying, as it circles and sways with a smile.
-
Aug 26, 2021This might not be the album that everyone wanted from Lorde, but it’s a solid, dreamy effort that deserves exploration. There’s plenty here worthy of attention if you can focus for long enough.
