    Smile by Katy Perry is a fresh album, it has that essence of wanting to listen to it every day, the lyrics of NTEOTW are so **** incredible, a pity that few professional media criticize her from the personal side and not as a true artist that she is.

    I dont trust how the critics work by giving this album low rates because I do believe that it served it's purpose and it is to make the people smile. If I may protest, I think that the voice of people or the masses should matter more than the critics who seems to compare her either from her past voyage or to other artists which is harsh.     What a lot don't realize is that, this album might be her transitional period. Though, it is not as bubbly as her past albums, it shows growth and maturity while remaining fun, yet it serves a meaning and a purpose. What I am even more excited about is her next upcoming album.

    This album is bop after bop after bop! There are so many good dance tracks! Highlights for me are Champagne Problems, Tucked, Cry About It Later, Never Really Over, and Teary Eyes. Katy found her smile and so did her fans.

It's a usual thing that musical artists, at some point in their careers, arrive at a more contented phase of their crafts where their "grown" selves are evident on the recent project they put out. Katy Perry is not there yet. It's not a bad thing. It means that we can expect more from her in her future projects. But with SMILE, it is evident that she's nearing that phase of growth in terms of her musical genuity. Smile displays a sense of transition from Candy girl to a more mature Katy Perry without compromising the danceability of the tracks such as the banger Not The End of the World, Tucked, and Champagne Problems. Vocally scrutinizing, Perry has improved a lot. She was able to put out great melodies, harmonizations and powerful vocals that we have never heard before from her. Perry's immense vocal range as noticeable in Never Really Over, Daisies and Harley's in Hawaii proved her expansive delivery with those signature Katy Perry curl styles.     This album is art... perfect for dance and survivor in the worst moments. Her best album of career, smile sounds vibe teenage dreams and Katy vocal so perfect now. Pop perfection. She did that.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
