    The album explores themes of overcoming, achievements and explains something very profound as in the song ONLY LOVE, in my opinion and I believe of many, this album is one of her best, it is danceable, a happy album and it is to listen anywhere. I understood your Metacritic note, I think you guys still listen again before you give a shameful note like that, it's a lot of injustice.     Definitely this is Katy at her best. I DO hear the evolution in lyrics and sound, while still being loyal to genre that launched her to stardom. Loved every track.

    The teenage dream It was and is a work of art, prism is all that is good, witness is a deep breath that not everyone knew how to hear but smile, smile in my opinion is the best Katy Perry album, you can't skip songs and it makes you listen to it over and over again. Thanks Katy for helping us get our smile back...

    With "Smile" Katy Perry proves once again that she is the Queen of Pop. Funny, deep, inspiring, epic-produced and charismatic makes this her best piece of art until today. Give it a chance.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
