    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the album was very good, there was a balance between sad and happy songs, it had a nice mixtures of lyrics, meaningful and fun lyrics to make us feel happy, vocally the album was very good especially with daisies ( both studio and acoustic versions). Harley's in hawaii had a very chill vibe to it and i wished it was om the radio because it would have a made a great summer chilling vibe, cry about it later and not the end of the world are both very good songs. idk how to explain music but i absolutely adore the album. just because there are bad reviews doesnt mean its not good, people didnt bother giving the album a chance to shine.… Expand

    Un álbum poco conciso, que deja entrever las dificultades que tuvo Katy para su creación, así como la indecisión de su equipo por elegir los sencillos apropiadamente, cosa que no se veía desde ARTPOP, aunque sin ser ambicioso, experimental y polémico.

    After the iconic Teenage Dream, Smile is the best Katy Perry's album. Personally, I do not skip any song. All of them are AMAZING. So mature, so cured and so new. It is a new Katy.

    I love it! Critics hate if she goes away from her comfirt zone and then hate again if she makes something similar to the old days???? This is becoming personal!!!!! This album was so personal, after she suffered so much she is getting back her smile and having fun, I’m so happy for you Katy, I loved the songs, all of them!     Em minha humilde opinião, Katy trouxe algo muito além do pop atual, onde mostra algo totalmente intimo e maduro. um dos melhores álbuns de 2020. Incrível trabalho espero que seja reconhecido.

Minha nota específica é 8,3; álbum subestimado; ela evoluiu pós-Prism, desde Witness ficou óbvio que critícas maliciosas e risíveis foram propositais. Ressalto sua composição intíma e matura sobre ficar bem consigo, sobretudo, suas linhas criativas e sutís. Vocalmente suave, forte e confessional; Só há falhas nos instrumentais como no meio do disco, mas, nada que impeça audiência de sentir os ares leves, as lágrimas, e o sorriso de Katy.… Expand

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
