I think Smile, is the album we need to feel hopeful, joyful, and a little bit more happy with everything that has been happening in the world. we needed a break from this pandemic, and non-stop catastrophe that has broke into our planet home.     My skin crawls from the first note of Never Really Over to the final note of Wath Makes A Woman. Many surprises in terms of sounds and mixes. The vocalization is unmatched. I didn't stop moving my head to the rhythm of all the melodies.

    Despite some critics are giving regular reviews against this album, Katy Perry gave us one of the best pop albums of 2020. This is the proof she can do amazing bops without any featuring. The only bad thing I found about this project is the length, because once it ends you wish it had last more and more.

    It is NOT fair to compare smile with Katy’s other albums... it is not similar to none of them. Smile is all of her albums together creating a whole different record that looks like something done by Katy Perry.

If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse.
