    Great piece of music, she’s telling her story, she’s explaining how she made it through the other side. The songs in the album are sorted to represent the phases she rub into. The first with sadness and tears, then how to heal from what hurt you and finally how to celebrate the journey. I’m really thankful (scratch that, I’m grateful) for this album!

    Sin comentarios en lo personal no me parece nada nuevo, todas las canciones son aburridas y los vídeos de los singles que ha sacado se me hacen básicos, aburridos y eso aún hace que la canción sea más aburrida. Es un álbum que no escuchare, y mucho menos compraría por qué sería gastar mi dinero en algo que no vale la pena.

After Witness, Perry said herself she was feeling lost (just like her One of the Boys' song), and we can see her journey to get back her smile on this album. Some songs like "Tucked" and "Smile" takes us back to a bit of her old sounds, but it still manages to be coehsive, innovative and fresh. Dare I say this IS her best album, although PRISM will always be unique. It's clearly seen here that she has grown a lot, and is still on this endless path to become her best self. Smile is fun, deep, joyful, peaceful, cheerful. Its peak was definetely "Cry About It Later", in which Katy takes advantage of electroguitars, gritty vocals, and an attitute to die for. Smile is her peak for now.… Expand

    It's a great album. I love the opmistic lyrics specially during a pandemic is refreshing. Cry About It Later and Tucked are standouts. I loved the album.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
