    Great album. Katy Perry keeps talking to the audience at her best. Some songs stand out for bringing together elements that cause a perfect storm, but the track list connects in such a pleasant way that after the last beat of What Makes A Woman a smile of relief in times of pandemic is the only possible reaction.

    It is a very excellent album, it fluctuates in different sounds - but in a cohesive way and that maintains its concept. We see a Katy, who has remained vulnerable in several previous situations (as in her documentary: Part of Me), showing that that joy shown previously as Sweets and Fireworks was only superficial and that did not portray her reality.     Tucked is about an "delusional relationship" and at the same time it's a joy song, that's so much awesome to 'see' on a song.

    Smile is such a powerful album, everyone should hear it. I recommend listen to “Cry About It Later”, “Not the End of the World” and “Never Really Over”. It is definitely one of the best albums of the year and Katy’s career!!

    She has been able to reinvent herself after Witness which was not on top with an interesting work. First 3 tracks are absolute bangers, very dancy, very pop. Only love, with her gospel influence is an absolute masterpiece, maybe one of her best songs in the entire career.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
