    it's all BOPs! all those critics didn't review the album they reviewed, attacked and mock Katy Perry. Those reviews are bias and unreliable. F/ck the critics. So scared they all went private on their socials. Special mention to Hannah, Leah and that Pitchfork dude. Y'all so unfair.

    What she tell us in this album is some tiny wonderful.
    Just by the fact that she overcame multiple situations, got back her smile and found herself in “Smile”, makes this record one of her greatest in her whole career.

    Smile is a triumph. a triumph of love, resilience and strength. the album is filled with bops but also songs like Only Love or Resilient where Katy reflects on her life and shares the most authentic aspect about herself. she tells us that hope is not lost today, it is found.

    My favorite songs on the album are NRO, Cry About it Later, Teary Eyes, Tucked, Champagne Problems, Not the End of the World, Harleys in Hawaii, Smile. Almost all the album. But I need to listen more and mor to have sure for what I am saying. I loved and I love all of Smile‘s Era and artworks since 2019, and I can’t forgot Small Talk too.    … Expand

    This is probably one of the most cohesive that Katy Perry have done ever. The album has a lot of bangers, bops and happy moments but it also has reflexive and personal tracks, such as Daisies and Only Love. My favourites songs are Cry about It Later and Not The End of the World!

    This is one of her best albums, without a doubt.

    She started the KP5 era with amazing droplets (365, Never Really Over, Harleys In Hawaii, Small Talk, Never Worn White). Daisies and Smile were excellent single choises as they show the cute and sweet side of Katy. What Makes A Woman and Cry About It Later are one of the best tracks.

    This album is everything we could have ever dreamed of. All of the songs have good lyrics, great beats, and make you want to cry happy tears and get up and dance all at the same time. It’s so refreshing to see Katy Perry has finally gotten back her Smile! This album has no skips, every single track is so special. I’ll be listening to this on repeat for a long time.

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
