    A totally new but fitting sounds for Selena! She explores different styles throughout 13 songs and it doesn’t disappoint. Perfect music to blast in the car, listen to at a concert, or just while you’re cleaning. 10/10

    Rare is such a unique piece of art. The whole album sounds like something that’s never been here before; Selena doesn’t follow trends, she makes them, and by doing so she creates nothing but pure pop excellence. From the production to the songwriting, vocals and well-picked features; everything harmonizes perfectly. Its not easy stripping down emotionally and opening up about the thingsRare is such a unique piece of art. The whole album sounds like something that’s never been here before; Selena doesn’t follow trends, she makes them, and by doing so she creates nothing but pure pop excellence. From the production to the songwriting, vocals and well-picked features; everything harmonizes perfectly. Its not easy stripping down emotionally and opening up about the things breaking us down, but Selena does it so gracefully - lyrics like “holding hands with the darkness and knowing my heart is allowed” are the proof for that. With “Rare”, Selena creates a lyrically, sonically and vocally master piece that’s refreshing and different - she shows once again she’s not afraid of taking risks.     The most cohesive pop album I’ve heard in a long time. Not a fan of Selena but I really was blown away by the greatness of this new body of work. Very well thought out and put together. I respect her for that.

    It’s a fresh masterpiece and it’s completely different from what we’ve heard from her before. Revival was good but RARE is in the next level. It’s also good to be able to notice that there’s some influence from other artists in the tracks. A person who listens to other people to learn and grow up in music deserves nothing else but recognition.

    I love this album it’s not like all the other pop albums new sounds and they all sound amazing!!! She doesn’t stick to one lyric and it’s not repetitive as other artist make their music. This album gives me an disco and electro vibe which is great and her breathy vocals go great with this kinda of music! 10/10

A work full of letters people who are not repetitive to the ear and who enjoy every time you listen to the song again and again.     While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
