    It is an album with danceable and calm melodies. Rare is a mixture of guitars, bass and sounds maybe from the 80's and 90's. The album has good lyrics and melodies, which is a good experience. Personally, it is an album with good potential.

Moving away from generic pop sounding songs we hear on the radio, Selena works with different styles of music, discovering herself more as an artist, which all fits together in the end. This album was worth the wait.

    There is not a single bad song on this album. The title track and Dance Again are big stand outs and probably some of her career. It’d be foolish if she doesn’t release them as singles. Other notable stand outs are Vulnerable, which gives Taylor Swift Delicate vibes. The two features on the album, Crowded Room with 6lack and A Sweeter Place with Kid Cudi are also incredible songs.     With a really good produced songs, Selena gave us a melancolic, symphonic and metaphorical album with lyrics that are in the same level as the instrumentals, furthermore her non-high voice give to the album a softly sound. Although with those lyrics and sounds the featurings got annoying in an album that proves it isn't collaborations nededed.

    Selena continues to grow as an artist and proves she knows what she is doing in the pop world. Revival is already an amazing album, but she just showed Revival that Rare is so much better than its older sister. Rare can really be Selena's first Grammy nomination or even win.

    This is Selena’s best album. It quite follows the remarkable Revival, but with a more deep and personal content. Also, the production is very well worked and the versatility of Gomez on the tracks come together to life giving us a cohesive and pleasing pop album.

    Selena Gomez really took her time with her music and now you know why. There are so many different songs and they have all hidden meanings. The melodies are so good and versatile and then the lyrics hit you. You need to listen a few times to get it and every time you play you can feel what she has felt. It’s emotional, funny, sexy and it makes you want to dance.

    Every song on here is creative, different, and catchy. From Bad liar to Dance again, the genres change but the feel good feeling stays. Crowded room is r&b, Dance again is disco, etc. Overall, it is an amazing album. I LOVE it.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
