    If someone did not like this album, there's only one reason for that: this person didn't understand this album. Cause only Madonna could that risc and make such great music. She has latino, portuguese and Africa influences, dance music etc etc etc. It's a piece of art. A masterpiece actually.

Totalmente un viaje cultural y de ritmos variados (Alguna canción te va a picar el nervio) Desde Colombia, África, jamaica, lisboa, París, india y Brasil creando una atmósfera que te lleva a un pasaje por las eras Like a Prayer, Ray of light, Confessions Incluso Hard candy. Super experimental y arriesgado paraEnvuelta de harta polémica, cómo de costumbre, finalmente escucho a Madame X.     Madame X is possibly Madonna's most daring album since Erotica. It's intimate, weird, uncomfortable, addictive, soothing, exciting, delicate and so gratifying. It blurs the lines between kitsch and elegance, something no one does better than Madonna.
    Aside from the five songs that we have heard so far, Madame X has quite a few tricks left up her sleeve - and to be honest, she's saved the    Madame X is possibly Madonna's most daring album since Erotica. It's intimate, weird, uncomfortable, addictive, soothing, exciting, delicate and so gratifying. It blurs the lines between kitsch and elegance, something no one does better than Madonna.

    Madame X aims to deliver what Like A Prayer and Erotica did so well - wrap you into a sonic think tank that's dark and enlightening.
    God Control ticks all the boxes; a smart, catchy, neo disco anthem with a wake up call (literally).
    Come Alive is as close as electronica can get to a prayer. Extreme Occident is a solemn reflection with the pleasant warmth of a desert at sunset and when the night falls, Looking for Mercy leaves you gazing in wonder at infinity, without and within.
    Lyrically, Madonna's in her element and every collaboration fits like a glove.

    Totally accepted! New sounds, deep texts concept, some times heavy load, sometimes fuzzy dances, but very organic to the whole concept. It sounds much more fresh than new albums of some recent ‘mega music celebrities’ of our days. I love this Madonna

    One of her best albums. She fits herself today's music. I felt like I was listening to one of the 2010's artists. But Medellin and Extreme Occident are not the songs that I can die for. Probably I will never listen to them.

    Most experimental album of her career so far! Must be listened! As Madonna already said: it’s not background music; every song should be accepted as a whole new story. Ballads are especially good this time. Madame X deserves 100 Grammys, but they ignoring her since Hard Candy era. The Academy should change its mind.

    Finally a great Madonna album in about a decade. Feels fresh and brand new. Rebel heart, Mdna, And Hard candy were all great dance music but we’re all chasing trends. In Madame X Madonna finds her mojo again and starts creating trends instead of looking for them.

    An amazing comeback! Songs like God Control and Crazy are excellent dance tracks, the international aspect, including Faz Gostoso, Medellín and Batuka, and the heartfelt I Don’t Search I Find, Looking For Mercy, and I Rise ballads really add a lot to the album

In some songs she utilized elements from the reggaetón trend that is going on but she made it her own and created something different that we hadn’t heard before.     Passado o primeiro ano do álbum, é tranquilamente um destaque numa carreira cheia de destaques. Ela conseguiu mais uma vez. Um álbum experimental, político, diferente do que escutamos nas rádios e playlists do momento, e plural, que é onde reside sua maior força.     American Life 2.0 elevado à novos patamares. Passando por diversas culturas o álbum se destaca pela sua imprevisibilidade e versatilidade ao explorar novos tons. O conteúdo politico está presente em boa parte do álbum, o que já o torna especial. Não espero que o público em geral compreenda a grandiosidade de um trabalho que sem duvidas está muito a frente do seu tempo.

Desde a música latina à música oriental, da música clássica ao rap, da disco à house, do fado aos ritmos africanos... O que não se pode dizer é que o álbum é enfadonho. Muitos estão a dizer que houveDefinitivamente é o melhor álbum da Madonna na década atual. Madame X propõe uma viagem ao ouvinte e só estando disposto a fazê-la é que se desfruta de tudo que o álbum tem a oferecer. Desde a música latina à música oriental, da música clássica ao rap, da disco à house, do fado aos ritmos africanos... O que não se pode dizer é que o álbum é enfadonho. Muitos estão a dizer que houve excessos por parte de Madonna no uso de softwares de edição de voz, mas essa é uma das marcas do produtor Mirwais, que também trabalhou com a cantora no álbum American Life e imprimiu uma sonoridade similar. De toda forma, o álbum está impecável e ao ouvi-lo não senti vontade de pular sequer uma faixa.… Expand

    The album reminds me of why I fell in love with Madonna over 30 years ago. She’s inventive and takes risks and it pays off. Certainly one of her stronger works.     One of Madonna’s best. Bold, experimental, political, and different from everything that is being released right now. Highlights are God Control, Batuka, Crazy and Extreme Occident.

    Until now the strongest pop album of 2019. Hard to pick a fave songs as all songs are great, but for now Ciao Bella, Crave and Looking for Mercy are the songs I will mention as my faves. Give the album more than one listen, because not all songs are instant radio hits, but all songs are of a high quality and worth listening to.     A completely different album from Madonna, yet it all feels very Madonna. A brilliant and interesting collection of songs, of which the "political segment" (Dark Ballet - Killers Who Are Partying) is absolutely stunning. Lisbon has been very well for her, it revived her ambition to create thoughtful art. Highly recommended!

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Madame X is Madonna’s latest re invention and what a comeback it is! Truly Madonna at her true artistic self. This album is experimental and thought provoking tackling major current issues such as gun control, democracy as well as LGBTQ issues. Rather than taking a dark route in direction with these issues Madonna creates a uplifting disco infused track called God control which tackles the subject of gun control the lyrics are deep but the disco beat is fun and uplifting. Madonna 40 years into her career still creating masterpieces whilst many in her position would just be in Vegas or singing covers of ABBA songs. This album is definitely #1 smash hit and the critics agree… Expand

    Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.
