    I love Lover because it represents what Taylor really believes in: love, strength, and equality. She acknowledged her role model and decided to do something about it, and by releasing the album, she empowers people to act like her: love yourself, do what you love and fight for what you want. That being a ’lover’ is how people should perfect themselves !

She really shows her "Lover" side and the album sticks to it's theme very well which a lot of the times artists fail to do. Many of the tracks have a vintage feeling to it which is definitely something new from Taylor. Once again she has released a new album with brand new content which she has not showcased on the previous albums. Like Taylor had said before the release of this album, it's not all gonna be happy love songs and that you can find something romantic in a lot of things like heartbreak, lonliness etc. Taylor managed to fulfill her promise. Afterglow is a song that talks about Taylor owning up to her mistakes in a relationship but how she doesn't want to lose her partner. Archer is a very sad song about anxiety and lonliness, but still it manages to keep the "Lover" theme. Just everything about the songs give that "love" energy.
    The lyrics are just perfect. We have various lyrics that go very deep whether they're about feelings or politics. For example "Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince" which is a one huge metaphore for Americas current political state. Taylor's vocals also are stronger than ever. We can see her showcasing her vocal abilities in tracks like "Afterglow" and "Cruel Summer". Taylor also uses a lot of her falsetto on this album which really fits the songs very well.
    This album deserves all the love it gets because of it's theme, vocals, complexity and lyrics. It's Taylors best album to this date for it's maturity and the ability to paint a picture for the listener.    … Expand

    I love this album so much!! I’m glad taylor’s taking some risks with the production and is working with new people. Solid lyricism with good storytelling, and is arguably her best pop album. Afterglow and Cornelia Street are my favourite tracks

    I personally think it's her best work and one of the hest albums in a while. Boxing this album in just the pop genre does this album criminal. It's not too poppy and it's not too sad, it's a perfect mix. This album shows Taylor Swift at her best, nothing used to draw attention to it but the happiness she feels and it radiates in this album. Even with the sad tracks it still leaves room for hope.

    Taylor Swift never seems to drop the ball. Lover is her most mature album to date so far but still shows she’s having fun. With the production, themes, lyrics and vocals, it turns this into a wonderful piece of art with songs almost already becoming classics such as the title track ‘Lover’.

    If you loved 1989 and love some of Taylor Swift’s classics you will absolutely love this album. Cruel Summer and The Man are some of Taylor Swift’s best work. I’ve listened to this album more than 10 times entirely and haven’t had the need to skip any songs. If you haven’t listened to Lover yet, I strongly recommend you do.

    I have never felt attached to the lyrics in her past songs as much as I am to this whole album. It's beautifully written and produced and her voice is just so magically different in terms of tone. Almost like you can hear how happy she actually is and I just love that. My only thing is that the song ME! definitely does not fit the album. Other than that, I love it!
