Very phony and imo unauthentic sound and lyrics. This album does not sound authentic and I cannot wrap my finget around what it is that gives me that impression, other than the fact that Taylor is not a particularly deep artist.

"You need.." é a minha favorita que acima de tudo, é necessária para os dias de hoje.

Pop music has grown tired of the same tropes and instrumentation, but Taylor strives to rise above that. The fans, however, attack Tool, one of the greatest bands in history, and Lana Del Rey's new album NFR, which is critically acclaimed as the best album released by a female this decade. Sorry. She also combined pop, country and love ballads into one album, which is not easy. The best songs are ‘Afterglow’, ‘Soon You’ll Get Better’ and ‘Cruel Summer’, although you might like some of the more pop ones like ‘Me!’, ‘You Need To Calm Down’ or ‘The Man’. The simple answer is “absolutely, yes!” Nostalgia may make us feel guilty to rank her new album above her older, beloved masterpieces. But this album not only contains her strongest vocals to date and her most adventurous musical choices to date (“False God,” “It’s Nice to Have a Friend”), but it takes the best aspects of her four previous albums (Speak Now, Red, 1989, reputation) and combines them into one LP - making Lover both a step forward for her sound and a cumulative celebration of the road that lead her here. The album contains all the reasons for why we listen to a Swift album - heartbreaking ballads ala Speak Now (“Soon You’ll Get Better”), candid portraits of self-reflection ala reputation (“The Archer”), intimately written love songs ala Red (“Lover”), and sundrenched, carefree 80’s synthpop ala 1989 (“Cruel Summer”). She took the best parts of her career, combined them with a newfound confidence and sense of comfort in her own skin, and made — so far — her greatest work to date. Expand

I've been listening to Lover non stop for the past week and I think I'm in a place where I can say it's her best album yet (a spot I've continuously gave to Speak Now). A lot of people felt the persona she adopted during that era wasn't herself. Lover comes in at a stark contrast to the dark vengeful sounds of Reputation, made during a time in her life where she felt her lowest. A lot of people felt the persona she adopted during that era wasn't herself. With Lover it's more of a return to face; going back to the bright masterful songwriter we fell in love with. The album features her best songwriting since Red, as well as a nostalgic return to country on the title track that'll put you in the mind of her earlier work. All in all it's a happy bubbly album that'll remind you that her penmanship is unmatched; Miss Americana is a political song that uses High School as a metaphor, Cornelia Street explains the devastating after effects of heartbreak, and You Need To Calm Down is a fun song that embraces the LGBT. It's cohesive, pleasant and sometimes nostalgic! Sometimes it reminds me of teenage 2000s movies. Obviously, it contains fillers, butThis album has a lot of great productions and lyrics! It's a pop album (alternative pop?), And I need to thank Taylor for not getting into the rap / hip-hop / trap "wave" and releasing PLUS a mainstream album that looks like so many others in recent years. It's cohesive, pleasant and sometimes nostalgic! Sometimes it reminds me of teenage 2000s movies. Obviously, it contains fillers, but even those, for me, can be nice! This is better than reputation. Flop joke of an album
And it’s clear that she only made it for sales and out of desperation.

This is one of Taylor best albums ever. She is consistent with her sound and tone in this one. Her vocals are her best ever. The lyrics, that may be not better than Speak Now or Red, are without a question one of the best of her entire career. I can´t wait what she will do next because this is an almost perfect album.

This is the first album by Taylor Swift that I can say it completely captivated me. The production on this album is mesmerizing, Taylor's vocals keeps getting better while you scroll down trough the album and the LYRICS are going to hit deep parts of your heart. PLEASE, get ready to hear track 12. I wasn't ready and end up crying. TAYLOR SWIFT YOU DID THAT!!

Taylor Swift SHINES as she embraces love in all its painfully tormenting glory.

Gostei do álbum, porém muitas músicas, teria cortado umas três, principalmente ME! que fica muito aleatória no meio de outras muito boas.

solid pop album that clearly shows a grownt and maturement from Taylor Swift. it can halve some low moments like ME! or exhausting moments like paper rings, but in general it really conveys what shes telling: true love uplifts.

It's amazing how she gets the best parts of all her previous albuns, mostly 1989, Red, Speak Now and reputation to create Lover! I have no words, truly amazing!

It’s an album that screams out for an editor, but when it hits the right notes, it demonstrates just why Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world.

Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
