    Every single track on this album perfectly covers the different forms and sides of love. The title couldn't be more fitting. The title track Lover is truly a timeless song with an outstanding lyrical component. I can't stress enough how every track can complement any mood accordingly: from betrayal to first loves, to loce and desilusionment in the current political climatem truly a masterpiece.

    За что можно точно похвалить мисс Свифт, так это за то, что так или иначе, она создала довольно цельное детище.    Данный альбом Тейлор Свифт я начинал слушать с небольшим опасением, ввиду того, что ранее были выпущены весьма неоднозначные синглы в поддержку грядущего релиза. Нельзя сказать, что я оказался разочарован пластинкой. Но и откровенно положительных эмоций работа у меня не вызвала.
    За что можно точно похвалить мисс Свифт, так это за то, что так или иначе, она создала довольно цельное детище. Альбом имеет хорошо проработанную структуру и слушается довольно легко. Только в рамках этой всей цельной картины, нет ярких красок. Нет, тех самых ярких хитов, которыми кишели её прошлые работы. Яркими пятнами на этом музыкальном полотне, команда Тейлор решила сделать не совсем удачные мазки, которые так не приглянулись более приближенной к творчеству исполнительницы публике. Конечно, мы можем наблюдать потенциал некоторых композиций. Только даже если он и пытается сиять на фоне всего остального содержимого, делает это он довольно блекло и подаёт малые признаки жизни.
    Среди сильных сторон, стоит также отметить авторские навыки Тейлор. Пусть они, конечно, иногда и содержат в себе то, что уже принято называть её поэтическим клише, встречаются и довольно тёплые строки.
    Стал ли этот альбом шагом вперёд в творчестве для Тейлор? Не думаю. Стал ли он чем-то определяющим в таком жанре как поп-музыка? Я так не считаю. Но тем не менее, от релиза веет теплом, пусть и не столь очевидным как может показаться при первом прослушивании.    … Expand

    A decent album that I did quite enjoy. It has probably one or two songs that I can listen to on repeat just for the share fact of how good they are. I do feel that this album is a bit long and that the second part of the album does fall short on the quality the first part of the album. Questionable single choices but over all. A decent pop album.

This album feels all over the place, and itsLover was preceded by the lead single, “ME!” which was a complete disaster.     É um álbum bem diferente do Reputation, trazendo influências do 1989 e até mesmo do Red. As 18 faixas se distribuem bem pelo disco, sem deixar um ar de repetição, afinal são faixas bem diferentes umas das outras. Contudo o Lover é bem coeso, sendo impossível uma nota inferior a 10.

    Well, dear Taylor, you can keep buying good reviews for your trash, but we are not deaf or stupid. The whole album sounds like recorded in karaoke. The vocal in this album is extremely horrible. Some parts, like the verses of " cruel summer" and “I Think He Knows” , may cause physiologic discomfort. The production is messy, making this album more noisy and inferior. Everything in this album has been done before by other artists and Taylor Swift herself, and has been down much better. You can even find some identical melodies. The only theme that appears in every song is that “I’m always the victim”. The opening song, “ I forgot that you existed”, is the stupidest of the whole album. If you did forget your ex, you would have let everything go, instead of writing a lame song chattering about how bad he hurt you years ago. With the stupid lyrics and the monopoly melodies, Taylor Swift sounds more like a drunk woman who misses her ex so bad but keeps making up excuses about how she shouldn’t miss him. The most shameful moment in reputation comes “The Man”. Compared to Beyonce’s “If I Were A Boy”, Taylor Swift sounds like a joker. She daydreamed that her career should have been much more successful if she were a man. Skipping into the music industry in a lovely and innocent girl image, becoming famous for writing touching music from a sensitive female, always portraying herself as a heartbroken woman and a victim, always dissing her exes, getting a huge fandom for being “American sweetheart”, Taylor Swift is the female celebrity who takes the most advantage of being a woman, and now she is complaining like men in this industry can do whatever they want without getting criticism. Well, if she were a man, she would have been laughed at for being over-sensitive. She would have been shamed for always shading his ex-girlfriends. If he cheated, like what she did to Calvin Harris, nobody would stand out and use feminism to protect him. It is really disgusting that Taylor Swift used her mother’s private medical condition to hype her single and album again and again. By the way, her mother’s radiant look seems to have nothing related with cancer. When the politics, women and LGBT needs Taylor Swift, she kept her mouth shut and hid away. When Taylor Swift flops and needs hype for her music, she talks endlessly about politics, feminism and LGBT rights. It is so offensive that she equate the LGBT community to drama queens in the YNTCD music video. Also, it’s so shameless of her to equate the LGBT community’s fight for equal rights to her dramas with other celebrities. The only good song in this album is “Death By A Thousands Cuts”. It is a sad song written in a typical Taylor Swift story-telling style. The lyrics are heartbreaking and the bridge is emotional. But compared to any sad songs Taylor Swift made before, like “All Too Well” and “Breathe”, this song is mediocre. This is 2019. 19 years old Lil Nas X shows us that music genres are boundless, and ”Old Town Road” reaches new milestones on charts. 17 years old Billie Eilish writes about anxiety, global warming and drug abuse, making startling music videos. Meanwhile, 30 years old Taylor Swift is still playing the victim, writing about her feud with other celebrities and writing Utopia fairy tales. There is no breakthrough, no touching feelings, no deep reflection of love and life, or complexity of a human being in Lover. There are only right or wrong, good or bad, pathetic daydreams, delusions of being the victim and shallow politic views. This album is like a box of over-flavored junk food. It does have flavors, but it is over-flavored and messy, and it is junk food anyway. It is also like a piece of colorful trash. The hype for this album is all over the place. The publicized reviews are full of flatters. Thousands of teenager fans are losing their minds. But under the glamorous cover, this album is plastic, shallow and trash.    … Expand

    A great album. Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince, You Need To Calm Down, I Think He Knows, Afterglow and It’s Nice to Have A Friend are the bests.

    Ultimately, Lover is overstuffed and meandering, but serves as a positive reprieve from her past struggles in the public eye, and represents an artist at the peak of her creativity, power, and—one hopes—continued romantic bliss.

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
