    This album is the best album I have ever heard. It is so simple yet raw. The lyrics in this album indicates that miss swift is the writer of this generation. Some tracks are slow which is great and to my taste, I personally prefer some of the tracks on albums by artists, including taylor. They just stand out and I believe that that's what makes it amazing. Album of the year for me.

    This album just confirms that Taylor Swift is a true artist. In Lover we can clearly see her growth as an artist and as a pop singer. This pop album is totally different from 1989 and reputation, showing how versatile and creative she can be and also how amazing she is as a songwriter — Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince really surprised me when I learned that this song is a hugeThis album just confirms that Taylor Swift is a true artist. This pop album is totally different from 1989 and reputation, showing how versatile and creative she can be and also how amazing she is as a songwriter — Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince really surprised me when I learned that this song is a huge metaphor for the US elections, for me this track is one of the best lyrics she has ever written, a true masterpiece. Cruel Summer is a pop perfection, even better than Blank Space. I think this song should have been the lead single. It's Nice To Have A Friend and London Boy were the two tracks that surprised me the most — in a good way. When I read the tracklist I didn't expect much from this tracks, but i loved them both so much. It's Nice To Have A Friend is different from everything she has ever made, i really loved the background vocals, the music has a really good vibe because of it, her voice is so calm and it matches the lyrics in a perfect way. I was expecting a Gorgeous 2.0 from London Boy, but when I listened to it I got addicted to the melody right away. It is a really upbeat song, the lyrics are so fun and it is catchy in a good way, since the music has a good production and good vocals. My least favorites were Paper Rings and Death By A Thousand Cuts, although they are still very good! When I listen to them I do like, but I just don't think they look so interesting in a album that has Miss Americana, Cruel Summer and Cornelia Street — It says a lot about Lover when I say my least favorite songs are still high quality!
    The only mistake Taylor Swift made about this album was the decision to have ME! as a lead single and You Need To Calm Down as a single. They don't define Lover at all, especially ME! In conclusion, Lover is one of the best she has ever made. Her vocals are perfect, the productions is amazing and the lyrics are very good.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is what the artist herself said, a love letter to love. The most talked feeling is sung and narrated in every form it can show. From self empowerment anthems (such as ME! and The Man, which also underlined the current gap between women and men, especially in what's expected and what's accepted by the one and the other into modern society) to real love stories (It's Nice To Have A Friend, London Boy (which is a light hearted yet very nice song) and, of course, the self titled track). The album also goes kinda dark and shows Swift's mature side, which can be seen in Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince and False God. Swift hasn't forgotten about the minorities, and despite having put women's condition under the spotlight, she decided to give space to another important topic, the LGBT+ community. You Need To Calm Down is a anthem which tries to open people's eyes to the real condition on the LGBT+ community and tries to underline how ignorant discrimination is. The singer also opens her heart to the purest love that could ever exist, the love for mothers, telling her mom's story on the duet with Dixie Chicks, Soon You'll Get Better.  Love isn't always sunshine and puppy dogs. Swift analyses even this side of the ancient feeling in songs such as Cornelia Street, Cruel Summer and The Archer. Love ends and when it does it leaves scars (and we're all afraid of scars as shown in "Death By A Thousand Cuts"), but scars can go away. That's the case of "I Forgot That You Existed" in which Swift understands that getting over a relationship won't hurt at all, but will only make life better. Light pop with old vibes comes up on "I Think He Knows", sixth track of the album. Let's not forget of classics such as the outstanding kinda nostalgic "Afterglow" and the closing track "Daylight".
    "Lover" is the best album of 2019 so far. Lyrically Swift gave us a masterpiece, mixed with a trip to different sides of pop bases and beats. Her work with Antonoff only empowers the album appeal and the final result is an amazing album with an outstanding message to the fans which sums up the whole album: "Love is complexity, love is struggle, love is pain, love is joy, love is hope, love is equality".    … Expand

    This is literally her best album EVER. I’ve been a long time Taylor Swift fan and my favorite album for the longest time was “Speak Now” her third studio album but now “Lover” has made its way through and I can’t get enough of it.     This is by far the best album ever released in 2019. , Lover gave us so much to enjoy and engage with — the lyrical pining, the bops vs. the skips, and the fantasy of love itself.

    Lover is a whole journey from the dark place she was in 2016 - reputation era to this happy woman you hear on lover. My favourite tracks are afterglow and daylight. Thank you for this masterpiece, Taylor

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
