    I think Lover is one of her best albums to date. She's continuing to grow but still connecting to her past albums and song. I'm excited to see where/what she'll do with singles because she has plenty of options.

    This album is a great listen! It conveys a broad spectrum of emotions, but it’s overall tone is lighter than much of Swift’s work in the past, while still mature and reflective. And the lyrical quality of the music is strong.

    Taylor Swift really proved that she is one of the most versatile artists of all time. It is absolutely unbelievable how she managed to fit her lyrics in this new sound for her in her SEVENTH album. She deserves every bit of success she has and no one can argue with the fact that she is the greatest lyricist of our generation. She showed us a more mature and brighter side of her, inTaylor Swift really proved that she is one of the most versatile artists of all time. It is absolutely unbelievable how she managed to fit her lyrics in this new sound for her in her SEVENTH album. She deserves every bit of success she has and no one can argue with the fact that she is the greatest lyricist of our generation. She showed us a more mature and brighter side of her, in comparison to her 2017 album, reputation, and let us in her private life, her relationship with Joe and her mom's battle with cancer. Swift also discussed sexism that women face on a daily basis on the 4th track, called The Man, She even writes about the political situation in America but not in a literal way, but she covered up that circus by making up this imaginary high school.
    Overall, Taylor Swift's new album is something new, a breath of fresh air, but at the same something familiar, just like her two previous records.

    Lover may be Taylor Swift's best album since 2010's Speak Now. It doesn't quite match the highs of that album, but certainly doesn't match the lows either. Throughout the album, the listener gets the sense that... this is Taylor Swift in her purest, most brutally honest form especially in songs such as Soon You'll Get Better, which is the most heartbreaking song I've listened to all year.

From the biggest highlight “Cruel Summer” to the most emotional titled track “Lover”, literally she saved the pop music nowadays by this masterpiece. Although here comes some unnecessary tracks like “Death By Thousand Cuts” and “London Boy”, not only make the chill listening experience stop when theTaylor proved once again that she really know what’s the perfect melody for pop music. From the biggest highlight “Cruel Summer” to the most emotional titled track “Lover”, literally she saved the pop music nowadays by this masterpiece. Although here comes some unnecessary tracks like “Death By Thousand Cuts” and “London Boy”, not only make the chill listening experience stop when the music play, but also make the length of the album too long. Thanks god “Soon You’ll Get Better” and “False God” come right up save the tiredness. And “Daylight” is the best ending track ever.

    Lover is an album that celebrates love in all of its complexities. I laughed and I cried, actually I sobbed. I jumped up and danced and then swayed by myself. This is everything I’ve ever wanted from Taylor. It’s brighter now.

I beg to differ. 18 tracks are just about 3-6 extra chances of messing up and getting people bored. I’m not bored. At all. Actually, I’m honestly thrilled that I can finally relate to her songs again, since I’m married for five years now and happily so. And I’m glad she’s happy too and has finally found her daylight in Joe Alwyn. Good for them and for us... you know, ‘cause things just keep getting better.

    Easily her best album by far. The concepts expanded on lyrics through out these songs are more complex than any other album. Every song has several things to say and it’s impressive how they are all still cohesive. The nostalgic references as a metaphor for today’s political society was also brilliant. Sonically, everything is either a bop or a tear jerker. Simply stunning work.

    Taylor's best album since RED. Although I did not like the first two singles, the album really suprised me. I love Cruel Summer, Miss Americana, False God, Afterglow and Daylight. I highly recommend listening to False God at night. The rest are all grower. I find myself sometimes sing along Paper Ring and London Boy,... even ME! I like it better when it was placed in the whole album.

    In my opinion, this is her best work so far. To me, it has good lyrics and good pop production. It's like if Red were a pop album. Well maybe it's a bit too long and has a few filler tracks here and there (that i think are good, they are enjoyable but not really that great), however i think it's a very solid album.

    Disappointing album overall. Underwhelming and overlong. Some songs are her worst not on the same levelof 1989 and having dated production.She should have hired better producers..

    The album is an extremely solid effort. The songwriting is simply superb while showing deviation from her previous works as a synthesis of sort. It embraces maturity while staying true to her persona as a musician.

Acompanho a carreira da Taylor desde a era Red, lembro quando a primeiras vez que eu a conheci foi quando assisti o clipe de tour da música Fearless na MTV e eu fiquei apaixonado pela música e sua tradução. E desde então decidi acompanhar-la. Ver o quanto a Taylor evoluiu desde a era RED, passando pelo Icônico 1989, depois pela era Dark Reputation e chegando agora na era Lover, é realmente incrível.
    Um álbum bem coerente, com composições marcantes como: Daylight, Cruel Summer e Cornélia Street. Esse álbum está incrível, com composições impecáveis e as batidas bem anos 80/90. Simplesmente amei, Swift realmente nos trouxe algo inovador e dessa vez gritando ao mundo sobre o seu grande amor.    … Expand

    Lover is a fabulous record, full of super-fun standout pop hits that make your heart burst. It oozes with Swift’s much more palatable upbeat sass. She’s in love and also thinking about different kinds of love.
