Indigo was my personal first album I got to hear as it dropped. I've been ARMY only since July 2022 and I can say without a shadow of a doubt, Indigo drew me in immediately upon listening to it. It made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me relive memories of my own life that RM's lyrics reminded me of. Some of the best work RM has done to DATE. his growth from MONO from depressing to hopefully get still entrenched within the reality of lifes trials and tribulations are clear. Also I love the idea of him collaborations, which were purposeful if that he wanted to work professionally with his idols. Overall a successful venture and glimpse into his personal and professional growth as an artist in his true right, not just as the leader/songwriter of BTS Expand

Where do I start… I think it is unfair to reduce Namjoon to just a singer, a rapper, or an idol. He’s an ARTIST, and this album proves it. His pen is just out of this world. There isn’t a single skip in this album. I’m still obsessed with every single song on it, months after its release. My favorites might be Wildflower, Hectic and Closer, but I genuinely love the entire album.

The best album released in a long time, Indigo is truly a complete album as there is no focus on one song going viral or having catchy tunes, but a story of Kim Namjoon's 20s compiled from beginning to end without a single skip. True care and effort has been put into each of the song by the artist.

Gracias RM

This is such a beautiful an well thought album It's impressive how much work was put in to every detail of this album, from the lyricism of each song that is delivering a profound message in a specific order, to each artist featured chosen carefully to give each song the best delivery of that message and feelings. Also the versatility of genres and resources made this album a jewel .

Listening the album from the first track to the end really taking me to RM’s life journey, as he claimed to be his life during 2018-2020? It’s all just make sense and he really think the order through. Kicked off with Yun, in which touch me so deep with “I wanna be a human ‘fore I do some art”. I think this is necessary to be mentioned because nowadays lots of artist forget this aspectListening the album from the first track to the end really taking me to RM’s life journey, as he claimed to be his life during 2018-2020? I think this is necessary to be mentioned because nowadays lots of artist forget this aspect towards their art. My personal favorite will be Closer. RM really picked the right artist to featured with him. When sometimes too much feature can ruined the song, RM, Mahalia and Paul Blanco holds each other’s hands and perfecting the whole song. The last bridge ascend me to another world.

The closing song, No.2 is heartwarming too. Saying good bye to his 20s with “No looking back” is what we all need to hear (and apparently most of the fans also find this relatable). What makes it even more special is how he picked Park Jiyoon to feature on it. I do remember the story of how she was having a hard time on her early career due to the agency’s persona put on her. I hope she’s also not looking back because this song felt like a pat in the back to me too. I had love mono (RM’s other mixtape) in other way, but Indigo is just THAT album that I need, especially when I’m about to bid farewell to my 20s too. Thank you, RM!

RM is writer and poet born to be a rapper. His evolution from RM to mono to Indigo has been such a fascinating journey that it's hard to believe myself that he's that same boy from Korea who was just fascinated with rap and hip-hop artists. I'm so proud of his evolution so far and hope to hear much more in the future!

Many are not really familiar of the bts boys discography, many only knows their english pop song but these boys started and was formed as hip hop group and I know RM from k underground as ranch runda. I love this album from track 1 to 10 all songs never missed as expected by RM genius mind and how he connects his love for arts to his songs. My most fave is Change pt.2 Wild flower and hectic but i love all the songs. Kudos to RM another masterpiece for me. Expand

RM is truly a lyrical genius. You can not just boxed in or categorized his music as k-pop. He is beyond that aspect. He was able to cover most of the genres with Indigo. I am genuinely happy of this album. It is a masterpiece. I hope he will continue to create more music. He is a poetic musician.

Indigo is an eye-opening taste of what RM is truly capable of outside the bounds of the K-pop powerhouse.

It’s too early to tell if the record will help the BTS leader achieve his goal of creating something truly timeless but, in this moment, ‘Indigo’ feels like a masterpiece with the potential to be remembered as a classic.

Some moments fall flat – Lonely is cloying, paint-by-numbers EDM-pop that doesn’t fully land. Still, Indigo is a polished collection that spans both pop and rap with confidence.
