    This album is in no way fresh or different. Almost the entire album including artwork and promotional photos etc. can easily be tracked back to Madonna and her mega hit album Confessions on A Dance Floor. Lipa even attempts to recreate Madonna’s 1994 pictorial ad campaign for Versace. All in all the entire album sounds reductive at best.

    Has a basic and boring sound that doesn’t become more interesting as you go throughout the album. Only good songs are physical and pretty please.

    I truly enjoyed Physical and Break my Heart, but the rest? It's lacking production that follows. The last two tracks are horrendously bad, but at least she's trying to write something sort of provoking. Although it's just not enough to keep the songs playing.

    UPDATE: at the third time I was listening to the songs, i noticed that all the songs were forgetable, i felt in a Renner store...
    Honestly, I did know Dua Lipa as the "new rules" or "IDGAF" or other songs about ex boyfriends, but this album is really another level of quality, theres is not a full bad song, I could enjoy most part of the album, and I think that, with this piece of work,    UPDATE: at the third time I was listening to the songs, i noticed that all the songs were forgetable, i felt in a Renner store...

    I don't often give a low score to a new album, but this collection of repetitive and basic electronic sounding tunes left me disappointed. I had really high expectations based on the critics reviews, but I really struggled to make it through the whole album. TBH, I had to skip ahead on a few songs as it was painful to make it through to the end of the tune. Over-hyped in my opinion, cannotI don't often give a low score to a new album, but this collection of repetitive and basic electronic sounding tunes left me disappointed.     Boring and repetitive. This album is full of fillings. Only Don’t start now and physical are the best songs from it. When you listen to it once you don’t want to listen to it again. Lipa tries to bring back the 80’s sound but she lost her way in the process.

    Ok I have listened to it several times and it is an excellent album but it does not fit the concept of this tragic year, something more melancholic and reflective is needed.
    I hope their songs can be danced in 2021 when the quarantine ends.

    the lyrics on the album are so perfect, they have the potential to be a hit, but without a doubt dua lipa can't handle this, dua has a lack of vocal technique

    I gave the whole album a listen out of curiosity but it all kind of sounds the same, high strong pop music built specifically for the charts.

    This album does not have the essence of an album. It is pretty much like a cassette of a 80-90s cover songs. There is nothing unique about it and the obsession with the 80-90s sounds makes it more like a cover album than a 2020 album with 80-90s influence. I love Dua’s voice and delivery always but she just fails tofind her sound with this one. It is pretty much like an average body ofThis album does not have the essence of an album.     Dua’s sophomore studio album brings more of the same she’s done before. In terms of artistic growth there’s not much besides the disco-inspired sound that comprises this album. Little to no lyrical depth, and most songs feel like filler songs to an album with only 2 stand out tracks which are Don’t Start Now and Physical.     Okay, not the best. It is not that big of a hype of album. I have heard better albums that are dance/disco focused. I honestly didn’t expect something from this album and well, I stand correctly. She is a definitely a singles artist rather than an albums artists. I just don’t get the hype of the album. It’s nothing espectacular.

    Sadly this album was very overrated. There was only a couple of good songs, but the rest were very generic and boring in my opinion. None of the songs had any meaning and the beats were used in a different way over and over again. It got real boring real quick. I was just disappointed because I thought this was going to be an amazing album due to the huge hype but sadly it wasn’t :(

    Dua Lipa ha ido con Future Nostalgia a lo seguro, a un sonido que sabía que estaba teniendo éxito en los últimos meses y que le ha servido para llevar a los singles del álbum a ser exitosos. Sin embargo, el álbum como tal deja mucho que desear.

    It is awful some of the worst tracks I’ve ever heard. The music seems rushed and unfinished and is no where near her best work. She’s trying desperately to please such a weird fanbase and failing miserably to even do that.

    the way this album ended just didn't click for me as a whole, apart from some hits at the start the album doesn't blend as a whole for me. it sounded like a riff off of sunshine kitty by tove lo which a million times better smash and emotional than this crap!

    With Lipa's sultry smooth vocals, synthy production and stupidly infectious singles tied with sumptuous visuals create one of the best albums of the year thus far. Mixing pop, R&B and disco, Lipa creates the perfect recipe for a Grammy... even Dua herself was aware of the cultural impact of this album - it will indeed be future nostalgia.

    Make no mistake, her risks are still very within the context of a 4/4 pop structure, but she still finds such color and joy in her surroundings it's hard not to get swept up in her energy. Such risk-staking, however, can still lead to a few moments that could've used a bit more polish.
