    A couple of these tracks don't work, but the ambition and execution of her sound is immaculate. I can't remember the last time a huge pop album was this well-constructed. The first three songs are knockouts and "Pretty Please" makes me want to move every time I hear it. If there is a better, more clever pop hook in 2020 than "Boys Will Be Boys," I have yet to hear it.

    This is an excellent pop album, and easily the best mainstream pop album of the decade so far. Dua's songwriting and vocals have heavily improved since her debut self titled album. The 2 greatest aspects of this album are it's amazing production, and its excellent cohesiveness, every song feels completely necessary and every track flows together so well. I also enjoyed Dua's catchy andThis is an excellent pop album, and easily the best mainstream pop album of the decade so far. I also enjoyed Dua's catchy and well written lyrics about Sex, Empowerment, Equality, Relationship Choices, and Emancipation. This album genuinely does not have a single bad track, every track features Dua's excellent songwriting, immaculate production, and top tier vocals! I was not a big fan of Dua Lipa before this album. While I liked her debut self titled album, it kinda left me wanting more, it almost felt like Dua wasn't utilizing her talents as well as she clearly can (which this album shows in a much better light). I had no plans of listening to this album on the first day of release, but after I saw the huge critical and musicophile acclaim the album was getting, I decided to check it out. And if you still couldn't tell by this point in the review, I absolutely adore this album. I am genuinely so damn happy to see this trend of mainstream pop musicians maturing and releasing their greatest bodies of work (Dua, Halsey, Ariana, Lana, Charli XCX, etc). This album is just another amazing body of work being added to pop music in the 21st century, and I couldn't be happier to witness it firsthand. In conclusion, this album is WORTH THE HYPE!!!     A pop defying album. Out and out fun album. Dua Lips is a artist to look forward. In this time of pandemic, she really gave us an album and taught how to not take yourself to seriously.

Dua Lipa's sophomore album is a total 180° from her debut in terms of quality, catchiness, lyrics and sounds that cames from the 70s up til 90s, and is enough to make you dance again in nostalgia, hence the name Future Nostalgia. Physical, Break My Heart, Don't Start Now, Cool and Levitating stands out from the other tracks but the album as a whole, don't feel like it had a filler or two.… Expand

    This album is pure pop. It's an album that should come off as boring and unoriginal but somehow manages to be the exact opposite. Every track is well-placed and none are superfluous. Definitely one of the best albums that I have listened to in 2020. Certainly an album that I will be replaying time and time again.

    This would be a perfect 10 and my favorite album of 2020 if it was not for "Boys Will Be Boys". Such a weird turn in the tracklist. Stars know it's okay to have the last track on the album NOT be a slow ballad, right?

    An unexpected pop album production with rich lyrics that don't fall for EDM repetitive stuffs. I haven't listened to her first album never been a fan nor a follower. Tho i don't think her previous albums are at par with this and i don't think I'd listen to that as much as i do this new album.     Dua Lipa managed to bring references from Madonna and Daft Punk in the 80s, I am in love with this work. We were able to see the evolution of Dua Lipa as an artist between his first and his current work in a splendid way.

    I just loved this album. It perfectly embodies the current era of pop music, which is highly influenced by 70s, 80s and 90s sounds. There are only a couple of songs I’m not crazy to listen to again but overall it’s one of the best albums of 2020 so far.

    Sem dúvidas é um verdadeiro álbum pop/dance,tudo que precisávamos de um artista pop. Possui hits fáceis do início ao fim. Mas a produção fica um pouco cansativa,em determinados momentos, e possuir alguns fillers.

    Each single which was released helped to build the hype, and made me a fan of Dua and was the first album of hers I had listened to. All the tracks were great and flowed. However, didn't really like Good in bed too much. But overall as an album spot on.

    Perfect pop album. Songs flow so smoothly, it's hard not to jam to it. Loved each and every song on it especially levitating and boys will be boys.

    Future Nostalgia really is the album of the year. Dua Lipa managed to bring songs with lyrics, sounds and cohesive vocals. I always ask myself and try to decide "which is the worst song on the album", but it is impossible for me to decide because all songs have their ups and downs, but they are complete and together they become a beautiful work of art (in this case, a musical work). I hopeFuture Nostalgia really is the album of the year. Dua Lipa managed to bring songs with lyrics, sounds and cohesive vocals. I always ask myself and try to decide "which is the worst song on the album", but it is impossible for me to decide because all songs have their ups and downs, but they are complete and together they become a beautiful work of art (in this case, a musical work).     Incredible Pop-Disco fusion album inspired by sounds of the 1980s and 1990s. 11 tracks long, with no filler. The strongest tracks include Physical, Don’t Start Now, and Hallucinate. Their are only 2 skips on this album in my opinion: Cool and Boys Will Be Boys.

    The challenge of making the second album as exciting as the first. Dua was right to see the trend of pop music and bring us the 80s and 90s to the fore, with a dance, fun and refreshing album. Dua Lipa shows that she wants to be a legend and she is going the right way with Future Nostalgia.

    Álbum pop en todo su esplendor. Parece que Dua no tiene límites y nos ofrece además de un álbum vocal increíble, una propuesta visual cuidada al máximo detalle. Ella está salvando la era pop de los últimos años, ojalá siga así.

    Future Nostalgia is a great improvement from Dua Lipa's debut self-titled album. Filled with tracks impossible not to move to, this LP is sure to not disappoint.

    Favourite tracks: Future Nostalgia, Don't Start Now, Physical, Levitating, Love Again, Break My Heart, Boys Will Be Boys

    Least favourite tracks: Good In Bed, if I had to pick one.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This was just a great pop album. I liked Dua but i did not think her debut was good, apart from a few catchy singles. This album is much more cohesive and consistent and it borrows from the same era of dance pop and synth pop. The songs are well written and the choruses and hooks are just so good. Most of the songs are about love in various forms or situations. The opener , Future Nostalgia is a nice pop song about a female alpha, a feminist banger it is. Don't Start Now is my favorite song by Dua ,a disco jam which is also really empowering.I think the bridge on this one is so good, just makes me wanna dance. Cool has a really nice bass and some R&B feeling to it as well. The chorus is larger then life. Physical, another highlight for me has an anthemic chorus and some very great production, i love the spoken lines as well. Levitating is another highlight with a giant chorus and post chorus and the bridge is so memorable. Pretty Please is also a very slick song with some nice guitars, in which she begs for attention from a new lover. Hallucinate is a disco song in which she describes how a lover is making her go crazy with love. Love Again also deals with the feeling of being in love again after a horrible heartbreak. It sounds very classical and has some violins i think. I love it ! Break My Heart also talks about the same subject matter of a new love, feeling vulnerable at the beginning of a new relationships. While i like the production and overall subject matter of Good in Bed, i don't care much for the repetitive chorus. Its a song about a couple that uses sex to fix the problems in their relationship instead of facing those problems head on. Its unique in being the only song about this issue on the album. I do like the shift in subject matter at the end with this song and also the last song, Boys will be boys. I love the moody nature of the song and balladry, the chanting chorus and the drums at the end. It deals with themes of sexism, double standards and toxic masculinity . These are very heavy themes in comparison with the rest of the album it is such a befitting ending to a great album.… Expand

    Es uno de esos gloriosos álbumes que apenas comienza a sonar no podés parar en ningún momento. Todas las canciones del álbum merecen la pena su lugar en el tracklist, todas tienen su propósito. Es un álbum super producido, los sonidos son muy efectivos y la voz de Dua Lipa hace de este disco algo único y original. Si tan solo terminara con Boys Will Be Boys, para mí hubiese sido perfecto,Es uno de esos gloriosos álbumes que apenas comienza a sonar no podés parar en ningún momento. Todas las canciones del álbum merecen la pena su lugar en el tracklist, todas tienen su propósito. Es un álbum super producido, los sonidos son muy efectivos y la voz de Dua Lipa hace de este disco algo único y original.     Dua Lipa played her part well using her voice as a vessel for catchy pop songwriting structured behind updated-retro productions. Riding the wave of keeping it short and simple, the 11-tracks of Nostalgia are as cohesive and solid as it gets as not a single track sticks out like a sore thumb.

    We’ve seen this route treaded before by other popular European acts like Kylie Minogue, La Roux, Donkeyboy and Goldfrapp to varied success. What Dua Lipa took a chance on is streamlining and updating the sound and release it at a time where no female pop artist is doing it.

    Living up to its name, Future Nostalgia gived us a well-crafted body of work that is powered by nostalgic 80s-90s-inspired instrumentals alongside a more confident Dua especially vocal-wise. This is, by far, the best album of 2020 in my opinion (as of March 27, 2020). The best tracks in my opinion are Physical, Don't Start Now, Future Nostalgia, Break My Heart and Love Again.

    the carefree, youthful feel this has is somewhat refreshing and great. not everything has to have a deep meaning or serve some big purpose, some things are perfectly fine being cheerful and fun -this is one of those things. my only complaint here is that BWBB should've been replaced with either Berlin Summer or If It Ain't Me, but by no means does one song take away how good FN is.

    Com claras influências do pop disco dos anos 70 e 80, somados ao synthpop e electropop, o álbum traz as pistas de discoteca novamente para a época atual nos fazendo dançar e nos elevando às alturas com os 37 minutos do disco, com um destaque especial para as faixas “Don’t Start Now”, “Physical” e “Love Again” que são os pontos altos do álbum. Soma-se isso a uma forte identidade visual e uma produção que, mesmo retomando a trabalhos de artistas como Madonna e Kylie Minogue, consegue soar original e autêntica.

    O álbum se mantém coeso e coerente com sua proposta por quase toda a sua duração, algumas faixas são mais fortes que outras e ele acaba escorregando nas 2 faixas finais “Good In Bed” e “Boys Will Be Boys”, que soam descoladas do projeto e um tanto clichês, tanto nos refrões quanto em suas temáticas que não são desenvolvidas o suficiente para justificarem suas inserções no disco.

    No fim das contas o “Future Nostalgia” é uma agradável surpresa entre os lançamentos da atualidade, Dua Lipa apresentou um grande amadurecimento artístico e embora seja um projeto com algumas falhas ele se mantém um nível acima de grande parte dos álbuns lançados nesse ano, com inteligência e perspicácia se sagrando como um dos melhores álbuns pop dos últimos anos e que será lembrado ainda por muito tempo.    … Expand

    I love this album so much and it’s definitely one of the best albums released this year (2020), but i think it has some skips and weak songs that i don’t really like. But it’s definitely a great album to be nominated to AOTY!

    Future Nostalgia is definitely the Best Album of the year already, but I don’t think is a 100 album, my grade for this unexpected but fabulous album is a 80, the album stars with incredible songs that we already knew but when we hear “Cool” a new song that fits perfect before “Physical” we fall in love more with Dua, everything is amazing except for the end where “Good in Bed” and “BoysFuture Nostalgia is definitely the Best Album of the year already, but I don’t think is a 100 album, my grade for this unexpected but fabulous album is a 80, the album stars with incredible songs that we already knew but when we hear “Cool” a new song that fits perfect before “Physical” we fall in love more with Dua, everything is amazing except for the end where “Good in Bed” and “Boys will be boys” really destroy the vibe of the album, they feel like fillers, terrible for and album of 11 tracks on my opinion. To me the album finishes on the track number 9 “Break my heart”. My favorite songs that we didn’t hear before are definitely “Pretty Please” and “Levitating” .

    The sound of the album is really really good and the way they played with the effects makes this album even better with allot of different textures and spaces. The rhythms are so awesome and they make u wanna dance.

    Her voice simple as usual but fabulous like never before. She show that she can play with her tone and give us different textures in this album not like her debut self titled “Dua Lipa”. The simplicity of her singing but with incredibly good technic makes this album not pretentious and terribly enjoyable.

    Dua Lipa's voice doesn't sound special at all for me but she managed to put together her masterpiece. The disco influence and the instrumental make this album probably the best one of 2020 so far. It could be way better if you just cut out Good In Bed, though.

Las ventajas que se pueden encontrar en "Future Nostalgia" es que aquella memoria de los 80s se adapta con efectividad a la demanda actual de Pop y fácilmente impulsa a sys fanáticos a bailar y cantar sobre amor y desamor con algo de empoderamiento. La voz de Dua Lipa se mezcla bien con la producción y varias canciones serán agradables de revisitar gracias a productores como Ian Kirkpatrick, Stuart Price, el gran SG Lewis, watt y The Monsters & Strangerz. En general, aunque no es nada espectacular, lo que Dua Lupa hace bien en su nuevo álbum es unir aquello que no se debe de perder de la esencia de los 80s con la calidad musical actual.

The advantage that can be found in "Future Nostalgia" is that 80's memory well adapted to the actual Pop demand and easily inspires its fanatics to dance and sing about love and heartbreaks with some empowerment. É impressionante quando, qualquer cantor, consegue fazer um álbum coeso e ótimo do início ao fim, mas quando sabemos que ele está apenas no segundo álbum da carreira isso se torna mais incrível ainda.     Can’t call it perfect because there are tracks that are pretty boring to me but when this album hits and (it does this really often) then it hits hard she somehow really creates this mixture of old and new and it sounds great.

    Love this album ALOT! Dua took us to the future by bringing back 80s disco music we’ve always loved. My faves are Cool & Love again. My only problems with this album that its too short which made it underwhelming & its not diverse enough for me.

    very good album, got a lot of originality in a lot of songs, but in others it lacks of it and it shows a bit of repetition on it. the lyrics aren't strong and are actually very basic. overall, I really liked the album so I give it a 8,5 out of 10.

    At its best moments, future nostalgia is worth a 10, there’s some songs that are perfect and with a gorgeous production, but also there are mediocre and boring songs.
    Another point that got me a little sad is that lyrics weren’t that wise and creative.
    Erasing the skips and putting best lyrics, this album would have been close to Melodrama by Lorde.

    This album is just pop perfection. The samples give the album the vibes it needs. With 2020 coming with generic rap songs and pop this is a breathe of fresh air.

    The three singles are the best in the album. The singer's own voice is well used. But other song productions are somewhat homogenous. After listening to the three single, I have high expectations, but listening to the full album did not surprise me. Anyway, Future Nostalgia is an album worth listening to.

    Dua Lipa nos hizo regresar a los 80' con esos ritmos de aquella década, el álbum en general tiene canciones muy buenas como "Physical" o "Love Again", y la vez canciones flojas como "Cool".
    En sí, es un muy buen 2do álbum para Dua, se nota la evolución de ella en la música.

It being a 10 song record means it’s nice complete record which keeps you listening through the whole thing. Brilliant writing and captivating melodies. But, the greatness of the first 9 tracks is what makes the average-ness of the last 2 so painful. Good In Bed is too crass and teenagery to be enjoyable, and Boys Will Be Boys is a cringey attempt at a female empowerment anthem. I'd be tempted to recommend putting the first 9 tracks into a playlist and tacking on a couple tracks from her first album to the end to close it off, because those last couple songs kind of ruin the listening experience for me. However don't get me wrong, this is almost a perfect album to me - and I'm not sure Dua could ever top this.… Expand

    Future Nostalgia é exatamente o que o título propõe, uma retomada do que foi o pop na era disco, ao mesmo tempo em que é vestido em uma roupagem do que se comercializa atualmente. A produção desse álbum é muito sofisticada e detalhista, você se embala na instrumentação, nos arranjos, na voz, e nas letras.

    Fun, smart and cohesive. Dua really had a vision for this dance album and it really worked. So glad Carly Rae Jepsen paved the way for albums like this. My favorite songs are: Physical, Cool, Hallucinate, and Pretty Please. It would be a 9, but Boys Will Be Boys is TERRIBLE.

    Como álbum pop entendo as referências e o impacto. Dua lipa deu tudo que as crias de 90/2000 tanto queriam. Uma síntese perfeita da atualidade. Entretanto, o album soa repetitivo melodicamente e as letras não comunicam tanto sobre a cantora, dificulfando conexão.

    An amazing sophomore album! A well deserved grammy award. Don't start now was a huge lead single, but basically Physical and Break my heart did also amazing. Levitating is my favorite song tho, overall a really good job

    Make no mistake, her risks are still very within the context of a 4/4 pop structure, but she still finds such color and joy in her surroundings it's hard not to get swept up in her energy. Such risk-staking, however, can still lead to a few moments that could've used a bit more polish.
