I have always wanted Taylor Swift to create a soft, alternative, and instrumental album. Unlike her previous albums, particularly 1989, "folklore" by Taylor Swift is not created for the mainstream, but rather for her listeners to listen to and appreciate the beautiful lyrics to. This is her best album yet.

By far Taylor's best album lyrically - the music is beautiful and it's a great listen. This u s the best kind of Taylor music, stepping away from pop and just doing what she does best, writing great songs

the poetic lyricism. The sonic/production masterpieces. Her best album, she had a vision and she fleshed it out and accomplished it with diving acuity, further reaffirming her stance as one of the best songwriters out there.

To me, folklore is the best album of Taylor Swift. How the lyrics effecting you perfectly is showing an artist’s real talent very well. It’s also the best record that I’ve ever heard in many years.

The album brings a sequence of incredible rhythms and magnificent narratives, once again Swift shows that she can thrill us with a broken-hearted story even if it's not hers.

everything about this album is perfect, the lyrics, the storytelling, the melody. not many pop stars of taylor swift's stature can take such a huge risk in their 8th album and still be able to deliver a masterpiece.

It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
