    Folklore steals the spotlight from Red as the album that really showcases miss Swift’s songwriting ability. These raw lyrics and interesting narratives are accompanied by Taylor’s haunting vocals with a perfect production to match which makes the album stand out from the rest.

    Compared to the previous albums such as 1989 and Reputation which were both made for the masses to enjoy, the    Folklore steals the spotlight from Red as the album that really showcases miss Swift’s songwriting ability. These raw lyrics and interesting narratives are accompanied by Taylor’s haunting vocals with a perfect production to match which makes the album stand out from the rest.

    Compared to the previous albums such as 1989 and Reputation which were both made for the masses to enjoy, the Folklore album is more vulnerable and personal with no interest on impressing, just on expressing, which made the audience feel more closer to the artist. Another evidence of this is the artist’s sudden switching of gears from her usual Pop sound to something more Indie folk and alternative which is the perfect genre for story telling other than country, which is also briefly explored through the song “Betty”.

    What’s also great about the album is how cohesive it is yet each song can easily be separated from the other. The album also encourages most of its viewers to pull up their dictionaries and create their own storylines by connecting songs to see which is related to the other and I can personally say that it is indeed a Taylor Swift learning experience.    … Expand

    Honestly it's Taylor Swift's best album. The songs are true stories the composition and rhyme are perfect is a melody for the ears! All 16 tracks are my favorites.

    Amazing! Taylor has outdone herself in this one. The producing and the lyrics, just perfection, it's simply beautiful to see how the song follow each other in this album, I think it's even better then RED, which used to be my favorite one.

    Swift demonstrated to us once again how unique he is in his composition, taking his imagination to the highest level and showing his greatest fears at the same time, incredible compositions worthy of his catalog and a new path in his career. I can't stop listen to this masterpiece.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
