Miss Swift is on another level. This album is different from any other album she made. The lyrics can cut through glass and the production is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely my ATOY.

This album came out of nothing, like a secret project Taylor wanted everybody to forget as soon as it dropped. But forgetting we wont.

This is already by far my favorite album of her; The storytelling, the stripped back instrumentals and that goddamn lyricism (on another level let me tell you) really made this one special. What really fascinated me was that she has her own style in

What really fascinated me was that she has her own style in this new genre completely figured out. Her vocals dont sound that different from her pop songs, just minus all the effects. This is deeply original (except for some obvious inspirations like Sharon Van Etten).
Every chorus is catchy and every song has at least some of those "oooh"-lyrics.

Im sure even decades along people will talk of this record, creating its own myth and folklore.

Actually this album is the one of the her best album. It has really awesome songs and this album is a little bit emotional so I can’t listen this album everytime but when you sad or you feel some feelings like this, it helps very well. Folklore is life itself. However I couldn’t finish to listen all the songs on the album respectively, because it’s very slow and I’m bored. to be honest it might be one of her works yet but some songs like the lakes, hoax and peace could've been scrapped off or dropped as poems because their melodies and the production are just not up to the mark. same goes with most of the album but i like it as it's probs one of the only indie-pop albums i like.

No sé cuándo comienza y cuándo termina, simplemente el álbum es el mismo, aburrido que te da ganas de dormir. Yo me esperaba más ya que estamos hablando de Taylor Swift, pero resultó decepcionante.

It is not a good, nor a bad album. But it is a bit monotonous, boring and repetitive.

a really great album released by Taylor so far the way she made an album out of fictional characters and story in which all the songs connect to each other is really amazing her vocal delivery was also really great in this album the lyricism was perfectly perfect the production was amazing

Folklore is Taylor's best album. If you don't recognize it as the Best Album released this year, argue with the wall.

i don’t even know what to say honestly, i thought Lover was bad, but this is even worse.. i used to love Taylor’s music, but lately she keeps downgrading. Lover was a very childish album, but this one is just really disappointing, i expected more.

Folklore. What to say about it that hasn’t been said before? Taylor really, truly outdid herself this time. No one was expecting a surprise drop from Taylor- she usually sticks to one particular rollout schedule that consists of a lead single, one promotional single, and the album a couple of months later in between the months of October and November. By dropping this in the middle ofFolklore. What to say about it that hasn’t been said before? Taylor really, truly outdid herself this time. No one was expecting a surprise drop from Taylor- she usually sticks to one particular rollout schedule that consists of a lead single, one promotional single, and the album a couple of months later in between the months of October and November. By dropping this in the middle of July, without any build up, she made waves. The album in its entirety is beautiful. The lyrics are reminiscent of those found in Red, which is a fan favorite album across the board and considered to be her magnum opus. She showcases the story telling abilities that she fully brought to the table when she wrote Speak Now all by herself at 19. And just like 1989, it has very few to no references of modern pop culture. No new slang, nothing that could date it- making it a timeless masterpiece. Others may say that the often slow tempo makes it boring, but I would argue otherwise. I was captivated by it from the start. That’s what Taylor does best- she takes feelings we all know and turns them into something that really is magical. And by doing all of this, she is cementing herself as more than just a generic pop star- I’m positive that in another ten years, she’ll be considered an icon and a legend. All of the hype and praise Folklore has received has very much been deserved. I consider this to be my new favorite album of hers, and it makes me extremely excited to see what she’ll do next. Expand

I can easily say that “folklore” is one of her best works in her all career. The lyrics show us a mature Taylor, we can see her skills as writer with every song. This is the first album of Taylor that I can listen all day on repeat without skipping any song. Definitely the album of the year.

It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
