Evermore the album. evermore is not just an album, it is a cultural reset, the oxygen you breathe, it's a lifestyle, an escape from this cruel world filled with thieves, its an art, the first gift you open on christmas, a hug from a loved one, everything you’ve ever wanted.

Came for the music, stayed for the excellent storytelling. More experimental than “folklore”, but still true to its old-soul vibe, “evermore” is a masterful exploration of words and stories as well as emotions and sounds.

evermore feels like the older, more mature sister of folklore. Since these two albums are described as sisters by Swift herself, it does feel like they come from the same womb and grew up with the same roots, but like most siblings, not all life experiences are shared. That is where one may find the dichotomy between the two albums. Although the tone and theme are one and the same, Swift’severmore feels like the older, more mature sister of folklore. Since these two albums are described as sisters by Swift herself, it does feel like they come from the same womb and grew up with the same roots, but like most siblings, not all life experiences are shared. That is where one may find the dichotomy between the two albums. Although the tone and theme are one and the same, Swift’s storytelling has never shined brighter than in evermore which is a great feat considering her storytelling in folklore was one of the best ever done. It is very clear she has masterfully detached real stories from folklore in evermore, yet at the same time these stories whether real or fiction, still resonate in many. Expand

the album was amazing and spectacular, but the only flaw from the album is that taylor’s vocal and the nationals’s vocal does not really match up. but the rest of the tracks from the album is all perfect

She's done it again. I am beyond happy for this album, I was literally sobbing at 6 in the morning when it came out in my country. She's experimenting with all this different sounds and most important, I think, she's having fun. Yes, it's Folklore's sister, but as all sisters know, they are completely different people and hate to be compared to.

It is without question a wintering record, but out of this muted musical landscape songs of great and complex beauty emerge. [Mar 2021, p.34]

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
