It really made me cry, what I needed to finish this year. You can feel the nostalgia, uncertainty that this year has lead us all, still striving with hope for a bright future.

Álbum maravilhoso e segue coeso como uma segunda parte ou irmã do Folklore, como a própria Taylor disse. Estou adorando essa nova sonoridade. Espero que daqui uns anos ela lance um álbum bem rock/pop.

This is pretty much just a folklore 2.0, except i actually enjoyed more tracks on this one. tolerate it, no body no crime and long story short were the only songs i didnt skip and actually enjoyed. But besides that, it's pretty much just the same boring songs as folklore. The only standout aspect on this album were the lyrics (obviously what she's known for). but it all sounded like one incredibly long boring song. and on top of that the songs were way longer than they should be. Like if you're gonna put me to sleep, at least make the songs short. Also a side note to you swifties, do not compare this album to positions at all, they are two completely different albums, which talk about completely different things, and sound nothing alike. The way she can paint a story so clearly through lyrics always amazes me, evermore wasn’t an exception. She has this spectacular ability to make you feel every song so deeply. To quote Taylor Swift herself, i had “shivers, everywhere, my whole body” while listening for the first time.

It is without question a wintering record, but out of this muted musical landscape songs of great and complex beauty emerge. [Mar 2021, p.34]

Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.

The pandemic seems to have freed her, given her the space to breathe, and has allowed her to produce her most elegant and sophisticated work to date.
