As if exploring tales and stories that aren’t her own wasn’t enough with “folklore”, she does it again, beautifully, with evermore. She discovered she can be anything she wants in any music genre and still be herself: a unique storyteller. And her picks for featuring couldn’t be better. It was a nice surprise to see a new side of Justin Vernon’s voice and how it just goes with her voice. Just as it was in the Grammy nominated “Exile”. “No body, no crime” is also as good, the selfwritten song is as pleasant as it gets.Happiness and Marjorie also deserve to be acclaimed since they are unexpectedly two of the best songs in this album.… Expand

    Taylor Swift’s follow up album to folklore, is a sister, not a twin. With melodies and lyrics that will have you singing along for days, this album is great as a stand alone or intermixed with its predecessor. If folklore was the album to drink wine to and think about the past, this album is the one to drink champagne and think about the future.

    Taylor Swift again delivering an impeccable work, with perfect compositions and productions, there is no defect. The sister of folklore remains one of the best albums of that year and one of Taylor's career, what she delivered this year is spectacular, showing more and more her songwriting potential, she wanted to decide the best of the album Evermore.

    Stand outs on this album include: "no body, no crime" (feat. HAIM) — a 2020 version of "Goodbye Earl" with a couple of killer twists. "'tis the damn season" which is to Christmas songs what Die Hard is to Christmas movies. "happiness" — a song that is simultaneously heartbreaking for what's lost while hopeful for what is to come.

    One of the best album in 2020. This sister record of her previous album, folklore, brings in quite similar but extraordinary melodies and symphony. The beautiful, storytelling lyrics and the haunting yet mesmerising sound of her voice magically compliments this whole album. Sonically, it's quite similar to folklore but some of the songs are built better.

    It just furthermore display how masterful Taylor's songwriting skills are. The way she depicts a smooth-flowing story in a song while sounding genuine is such an amazing talent. This album is perfect for winter and spring season. This made a real huge gap against her peers in the music industry.

    Taylor Swift has done it again. Her lyrics, her sound, her storytelling... everything about evermore is so Taylor Swift, so different yet so familiar. Although it has been named folklore's little sister it remains unique and full of new stories and sounds. Even if it is a brand new album, it feels like greeting an old friend. 10/10.

    It's the way evermore is similar and different from folklore at the same time. They complete each other like a complete project and it would be best if you enjoy all the songs one by one AND pay attention to the lyrics because she really is one of the best and most prolific songwriters to date.

    Even though we get a catchy moment of goofy, snarling country midway through, the album is a result of the emotional clarity that a year in quarantine provided. Swift has written about curdling relationships splendidly in the past, but there's a new dimension to her writing that wasn’t there before. Onward.
