Ouch. That was pretty bad. I feel bad for the actors and actresses in this movie as they did a great job but the story was weak and honestly it looks like they tried to cut together two different movies and failed hard!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Oh my God was this awful. I mean WOW. A main female simping for a man immediatley. The plot which was so bad I cringed the entire way through. Possessing some innocent man's body (which was disgusting and literally sexual assault eew) and then dumping him off when her dead lover no longer possessed him.
This movie deserves a 0 star rating.

Please do not watch, it is that bad. It relied only on upshots of gal gadots panties and the story was trash.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Ok, let’s just get to it. Wonder Woman 1984 is trash. I’m gonna break it down. We start off at a mall scene(gonna skip the childhood scene cuz that doesn’t matter), the visuals were D grade, like a movie out of the 2000s, and the acting was TERRIBLE. Wonder Woman shows up to basically rescue hostage from a couple guys who stole from a jewelry store/black market. and the editing just destroyed this clip. We barely see her fight, we just see guys get thrown across the room( it’s her but we don’t even see it, it cuts off before we see hits land), and it makes this scene atrocious. That was the beginning. And I kid u not after this scene, we don’t see ANY Wonder Woman action whatsoever for a STRAIGHT HOUR and some change, which makes the movie boring asf. It’s just people talking and more All Men Are Trash bullcrap. Minerva is depicted as the nerd, invisible girl who never gets any attention, which was fine, but this totally gets wrecked later in the movie, when we see her with Max Lord. Then Steve got butchered so hard his character was a complete dumbass he BARELY had a role, like he was there cuz he’s Wonder Woman’s boyfriend. And then the concept of the Dreamstone( which gave Maxwell Lord his powers) was supposed to be similar to the monkey’s paw philosophy( be careful what you wish for) and even THAT was trash, because if you want to end it all you have to do is “denounce your wish” which thins the plot and makes it WAY too simple. Then the next time we see Wonder Woman is on a road with a bunch of tanks, where we discover her powers are getting weaker because of her “wish” from the stone to bring Trevor back. The editing in that scene is even worse. At least in Man of Steel we see the actor lift cars which makes the scene more dynamic. There’s NONE of that here. We don’t even see Wonder Woman land any hits because it always cuts away, even when she supposedly pushes one of the tanks. The scene executions were HORRIBLE. Then we pick up at the White House and Minerva has a copy set of Diana’s abilities( because of wish to be like her) then we see her protecting Lord for BO other reason than a simple crush. Like BRUH HUH???. Literally beats the crap out of Diana for a man she barely met. Like what??????? Then the plot was so confusing we go to Egypt and Puerto Rico and stuff like that, and it was just shriveled. So we pick up at the “climax”, where Minerva wishes to be an apex predator hence the Cheetah. Now Max DEFINITELY had inspiration from Trump, especially with his podium scene, and they didn’t even try to HIDE it. Literal garbage. So now we are at the point where Diana is traveling to the base of Max, after she denounces her wish, and we get a cringe goodbye from Trevor. She starts swinging on clouds, falling with style, and then of all of a sudden she starts FLYING. How? WE DONT KNOW Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Not only is this the worse Wonder Woman movie so far (I’m a big fan of the first one and everything else she was in), but this teeters on just simply a horrible, low class, corner cutting movie period. I am appalled at the professional critics reviews, as they lost all respect from me now. To give this movie ANY credit shows a excuse making mentality. Shame on you all !

First off, the very very beginning was great ! I was feeling at home with a proper Wonder Woman movie and story evolving. BUT the first moment I seen one of the women jump, I was like what ?? 2021 and the special effects are going backwards ?? Literally as the movie progressed every single special effect looked horribly fake. Faker than past older movies even. What’s going on ? Come on critics, call a duck a duck, don’t be shy. Tell it like it is. This movie cut corners and it ruined it for me. Next, the premise behind the stone/storyline/villain was just so discombobulated and grossly separated from anything believable. I could go on with details but none of us have time. It just sucked, the villain sucked the idea sucked the execution sucked and the core of the premise wasn’t based on anything I can believe unlike any other comic book movie. The way Steve came back was just utterly stupid. Next thing, Wonder Woman don’t fly. That was ridiculous and again looked horrible. She is not Superman, YET took a Superman position in the sky. There was a million ways I could have made this movie better and up to par with the first one. I sure hope this is not a sign of what’s to come next nor do I want Covid19 to be a excuse for corner cutting. Furthermore we as fans and critics should NOT go easy on judging this movie. Facts are facts and situations don’t spawn excuses for mediocracy to be claimed as ok.

I loved the fact they finally did the invisible jet (cause she does have one for real) and I like the Lasso, BUT again they super overly cheesed out with the way she used it by grappling onto clouds and lightning bolts.. Like that's a big NO ! Cheesy, wrong. Every other comic book movie has been great till this one. (well End Game kinda sucked too, but at least it was better than this absolute disaster).

I'm honestly amazed at anyone who is unintelligent enough to accept this as a correctly done movie.

Whilst Gal Gadot remains endearing as Wonder Woman, just about everything else in the movie feels contrived. The 80s setting is overplayed to the point of being annoying, and ridiculously cliched, and the motivations of all characters is forced to fit the story. Cheetah's 'I want to be an apex predator' line was representative of the fabricated approach of the film. Lazy writing everywhere. Apparently, every man in the 80s was guilty of sexual harrassment. The whole thing was a disaster. Poorly directed, poorly written and poorly edited. Continuity was all over the shop, plot holes abounded and almost as many MacGuffins as The Rise of Skywalker. The movie starts off relatively simple but not necessarily bad, The movie is set in 1984, Where we meet Barbara (Kristen Wiig) a very dull and generic character introduced in the most basic way possible, has to help the FBI find out about a mysterious artifact, that the movie later reveals can grant wishes. The movie has almost robotic side and background characters that look very uncomfortable. The movie also pretty much just copy and pasted the dynamic between Diana and Steve without adding anything new to their dynamic, ignoring the fact that they have been apart for decades, And when the movie tries to change the dynamic it's just Steve being an Idiot for 5 minutes straight. The main “Villain” Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) is decent as a character and like all characters in movies or television has some generic character traits. Also, The actions scenes have a lot of unnecessary slow motion shots ,The CGI is very low quality for a movie with an Estimated budget of $200 million and I felt no emotion during this movie. I noticed that Gal Gadot seems like she is really trying to make Wonder Woman seem real and have some personality but with all the random slow motion in fight senses and her terrible side and background characters her whole performance is just stuck in between all of these different things that make the movie bad.The narrative of the movie is so generic it made me cringe when I saw it, and In the end the movie ignores all the chaos that Max Lore caused. I think “Wonder Woman 1984” is a disappointment and a terrible sequel to the original movie, I give “Wonder Woman 1984” a 2.5 to a 3. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Very bad movie ... I really expected something better, is it really the same Patty Jenkins who directed the first Wonder Woman? because seriously this sequel has a very different essence from its predecessor.
The problems of the film are these:
The performances are very mediocre and let's not even talk about the extras.
The CGI is very bad compared to the first one.
The action scenes are few and unsatisfactory.
The story was interesting and had a lot of potential but it was executed very badly to the point of having many holes in the script.
The only good thing that I can highlight from the film is the soundtrack composed by Hans Zimmer.
But hey, I hope they improve all these aspects for the third part.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. WW84 is a very underwhelming movie compared to it's predecessor.
Let's start with the good parts:
-Gal Gadot is still great as Diana and her chemistry with Kristen Wiig is also great.
-The scene where she and Steve say their last goodbye is very emotional and well crafted.
- Cheetah's character arc was quite good - The ending is not a cliché

Now, to the not so good parts:
- The pacing. The first half of the movie is really slow and suffers from scenes that could've accomplished the same while being much shorter. Also, a lot of filler
- Maxwell Lord is too over the top to be an effective villain. I'm gonna blame Jenkins for this since we've seen Pedro Pascal can be quite subtle when it's needed. The attempt to satirize Trump is painfully obvious and is quite boring to anyone not living in the US.
- As good as Barbara's character arc was, she's completely sidelined.
- There's not enough importanche given to the fact that Steve is hijacking an stranger's body. What Diana and him do to that man is rape and it's not acknowledge anywhere in the film.
- Diana's power loss is all over the place and seems to disappear whenever the script needs it to, also she get's new powers when she's supposed to be losing them
- The CGI is subpar, given the ammount of time they had to improve it whit so many delays, it's unforgivable. Cheetah did look good though.
- The "monkey paw" storyline is overdone by this point, and this take on the trope brings nothing new to the table.
- Where are the stakes ? The whole conflict could be undone with wishing it (or not wishing it) away
- In several scenes, Diana is written completely out of character
- Opening scene completely and openly contradicts the first film
- Even if the ending is original, it's completely anticlimatic
- The movie is unnecessarily long

Overall, a dissapointing entry to the DCEU.

This narrative basket-case lurches unevenly from one incoherent plot idea to the next without much hope of weaving the individual elements into any particular story, and not even Gal Gadot's gigawatt screen presence, physical acting chops, and the occasional franchise fan-service can rescue it. In the first movie, WW's final battle was against a literal god of war; this time around, her greatest opponent is both figuratively and literally a sad-faced cat lady, oh and human nature: from start to finish, the be-careful-what-you-wish-for trope is beaten into the audience with the heaviest hand imaginable. Whether it's teenage Diana cheating at Themyscira Ninja Warrior, or Pedro Pascal's Faust deciding what he really wanted was Mephistopheles's job, not even the hardest of thinking would miss the central (and only) lesson of this story. The rest of us might miss any semblance of philosophical ambiguity, nuanced allegory, or even simple character development and world-building; all things the first WW film delivered in spades.

Chris Pine is once again an entirely superfluous relic of Hollywood's infantile fear of letting a woman carry a film without an alpha male to remind her who she really is. This time around, though, he's looking a lot more like someone's tired dad than any kind of dashing-aviator-spy eye candy. And one with terrible taste in planes, choosing to nick a retired Tornado from IWM Duxford that's probably only held together with gaffer tape, when they've got a damn Blackbird sitting in the corner, and which he then flies himself with dreadful airmanship and total disregard for other airspace users. It's all especially galling given the subtle commentary intended by the original "invisible jet" with regard to roles expected of women.

The cat lady battle, overwrought moralizing, and the unnecessary Chris's poor choice of airborne metaphor, aren't even the worst of the creative decisions; dumping the awesome character theme from the first film is our household's consensus pick for the single most disappointing production blunder, leaving this effort a forgettable sonic squib by comparison.

Truly underwhelming stuff. I fervently hope that the showrunners do not squander the potential of the character, the acting range of their cast, or the intelligence of their audience so comprehensively next time around.

Bad CGI, Terrible story, A villain who shows up in the last 3rd of the movie and then goes away quickly.

But it's not just bad. It's actually morally and emotionally reprehensible.
So (Spoilers)

I would remind everyone who just watched this movie, that we have a woman who has been unable to move past the death of a person for almost 75 years. (Like a child) And then just wishes her dead boyfriend replace another guy in his body. not caring what happened to the other guy's consciousness or soul. (Like a Sociopath) And in fact, using the guy's body to have sex with her dead boyfriend.... (Like a rapist)

Seriously I have no idea how this made it out the door.
