If someone is looking for a sophisticated action movie, with a Nolan-like plot, you should probably look for something different.
Nevertheless, I think it's an enjoyable movie with a well thought overall pace.

I don't understand the slandering of this movie. Michael b. Jordan did a fantastic job playing his role. The choreography was outstanding and the high budget action scenes were unbelievable.

So users give this movie a low score but give Mortal Kombat an 8? This movie is 10x more superior to the MK garbage. The story, the plot, and the acting were good. The movie was entertaining enough. Michel B. did a great job with the role. Same with the rest of the cast. I will add that the Lt. Commander, was a bit off. The actor was good, but the role as a female didn't make much sense and at times it pulled me out of the movie. Something to think about for the next one; hopefully, they'll reconsider appeasing the woke-femanazi marxist crowd.… Expand

Great twist throughout the movie. The actors really pulled you in. I couldn’t get up from the screen. Love all the action and it was different from a lot of the other Tom Clancy’s in a way.

This is typical Clancy stuff with regular action beats, some well-staged fights, lots of explosions and one spectacular plane sequence. As such, Jordan’s character is a chronic renegade who single-handedly saves almost every encounter. The interaction among the cast adds a few moments of conflict drama, but it’s really about this one man and his almost superhuman skills. Action on a grand scale is what we’ve come to expect from these formulas and this one makes a solid addition. NOTE: Sit thru the early credits for one final scene that sets up sequels. the action scenes were awesome right from the start fight and the assassination it felt real after that the whole CIA and revenge story and russia's thing it was inriguing.the suspecious guy at start and then being a good guy was amazing and the bad guy thing felt predictable, the russian mission and the fight was thrilling and intense and the twist of WAR and the speech at last it was amazing, the ending with all things settled and the post credit scene teasing "Rainbow" team was awesome,Overall it was a straightforward fast-paced thrillingly entertaining and awesome movie.… Expand

On this first weekend of May, I'm calling Tom Clancy's Without Remorse on Prime Video an early summer movie release. It's got all of the hallmarks: big-named action star (Michael B. Jordan), explosions and gun fights, and a slick look. Michael B. Jordan hasn't really headlined a summer blockbuster like this, so let's see if he makes the most of it.

Tom Clancy's Without Remorse claims to be an adaptation and an origin story of John Clark, a Navy SEAL, who seeks to avenge his pregnant wife's murder after a botched mission leads to some secret operatives coming after him and his fellow SEALs. Michael B. Jordan plays John with a singularly focused intensity to figure out what happened and take out those to took his family. This film was written by Taylor Sheridan, who also wrote Hell or High Water and both Sicario movies - with those movies in his filmography, the expectations can be set pretty high for taut action and twisty storytelling.

Without Remorse gives you all of the action you are promised and then some. There are some pretty cool sequences throughout both on land, in water and in the air. Not only is the action good, but it looks great, too. Also, Jordan is such a convincing action star that it's a wonder that he hasn't been in these kind of thrillers before. I get that all these actors want to be in Marvel and DC movies, but these flicks need capable stars too. Jordan could corner the market like Liam Neesons has in the old-guy-avenging-his-daughter-movies. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for the rest of the cast. They are fine but kind of boring and generic. Anyone could have played these characters as there's no real personality. No one stand out positively, so it's barely worth mentioning. They don't ruin the movie, but they don't add anything either.

Lastly, the plot is also pretty generic and a little obvious as these Tom Clancy thrillers go. On the other hand, it does suck you in. There are some many tense moments that occur you forget that you already know where it's going.

Ultimately, Tom Clancy's Without Remorse is worth a summer movie weekend viewing. Michael B. Jordan is the draw here, and he lives up to the promise. The action is great and the movie sucks you in. Grab you big box of popcorn. You won't regret it. (See what I did there.)… Expand
