brilliant so many twists really kept me wondering what was going to happen next right from the very first scene. Martin Compston is certainly an actor with a bright future.

Minimalist design with only 3 characters and simple sets, but it works perfectly well for the story, which is rich with twists without feeling too contrived, capped with a very satisfying ending. Highly recommended.

I read the description for the film on a streaming service and had one of the key reveals spoiled for me. Even so, "The Disappearance Of Alice Creed" is still an impressively taut thriller, sparing the audience of the chills and bombast in favor of some good ol' fashioned narrative intrigue. With each twist lopped on to this plot, you're constantly learning more and more about each character and, in turn, the developing irony of the situation at hand. It's really quite effective, especially for a film with only three performers and one or two locations. Gemma Arterton is terrific in this, but the heaviest of props goes to Eddie Marsan, who the average moviegoer may recognize from the many supporting/bit roles he's had in larger films over the years. In this, however, he really gets to unload a bevy of menace, showcasing just how much energy he can exude onscreen when given the chance. A great performance in a truly solid film overall. Expand

Extremely talented and competent Gemma Arteton, I recommend you all watch this film, is really a show of facial expressions, the way she modulates her voice to look scared or nervous, is sensational. It's a shame that the big productionExtremely talented and competent Gemma Arteton, I recommend you all watch this film, is really a show of facial expressions, the way she modulates her voice to look scared or nervous, is sensational. It's a shame that the big production companies have forgotten her and aren't calling her to a big international production, like the prince of Persia or Fury of titans, for example. Her recent films have basically been shown in the UK and some parts of Europe. It's a shame, since she's (with all due respect) a badass actress!!!!! Expand
