I have no idea why this movie exists. A few action scenes does not justify long boring dialogs, even if they are most importance to the plot. Emotionless, boring movie. There are moments which look like cheap production. Give me my time back!

this is an amazing idea and too bad it is in a 2+ hours movie format
in the beginning almost too rush to lay out the story background and the idea, but then after that it was super intense and too much happened on the screen, and you could easily miss something important that might affect how you understand the story
but overall it is still a very great movie with incredible actions and stunts that we never see before, and most likely will not be able to see in next few years

I found the whole exercise to be a tiresome, nonsensical slog. As a huge fan of science fiction film and literature, I'm always excited to see a new take on the genre. I'm not one of the science fiction fans who dislikes anything fantastical or not 'hard sci-fi', in fact, some of those are my favorites. This however, takes nonsense to the next level. Its certainly a unique concept, but the headiness it proports itself to have is a mirage. In reality, the story is just a vehicle for a gimmick with some cool visual tricks, and it doesn't have the requisite internal logic to suspend disbelief in the slightest. This adds up to an extremely frustrating experience, which makes sense only on the most surface of levels, and takes itself dreadfully serious. If you peel back that surface level only a bit, you find a menagerie of convoluted **** that makes no sense whatsoever. It's as if they tried to hide how nonsensical the entire concept was, by making it all extra convoluted.

There's a pointed line of dialogue aimed at audience members who realize it doesn't make a lick of sense, "Don't try to understand it. Feel it." Well, to me, this FELT like a half-baked and lazily contrived film which should have spent another few years being properly conceptualized in the writer's room.

It's an extremely boring and frustrating experience, and I expected more.

Instead you are most likely not understanding it because it is wrong or a mess of a script/edit. If time is reversed for you, then you exhale Oxygen and breath in Carbon Dixoxide. You do not need "special air". Also, driving a front wheel drive car backwards means you loose all the fine control as it is an actuated rear-wheel (front of car is pointing to the rear) drive vehicle. So weaving in and out of traffic would have you bouncing off cars half the time. Also a bullet fired in reverse does the same amount of damage, as it causes the same hole. Luckily most of the movie is spent in forwards, so it is somewhat enjoyable. Of course the whole thing breaks down when you ask why the bad guy did not know what was coming, considering he is getting messages from the future. Expand

On one had I kept hearing how confusing it was - so that prepared me nicely not to feel as confused as I might have felt otherwise. On the other hand, this was my first new movie back in the theaters following the covid19 closures, and it was a Christopher Nolan movie so I was really excited to see this! That led me to in the end feel disappointed (how could anything live up to those expectations).

For the first portion of the film, I found myself thinking, " this is not the movie I anticipated seeing based on the trailer". It felt like a mission impossible movie with different actors. When things changed, it felt like I was being rewarded for hanging in there - and to an extent, the reward was satisfying!

Going into the film thinking it was a spy movie where the spies can at will step backwards in time to stop certain events sounded like a fun concept. The movie itself didn't have the "fun" quality I was anticipating. It was pretty much serious the whole way through. But then I have to remember what other Christopher Nolan movies feel like. They too are pretty serious.

Thinking back on the movie, it was a cool, very intelligent film - a gift to us film goers. Some of the dialogue was hard to track with, but it kept me working to keep up with it, and I felt rewarded in the end. For me it wasn't as good as inception, but it good along those lines. Thank you Mr. Nolan and team for working so hard to give us this cool and unique film going experience!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I think the music of this movie is the best in Nolan movies. But the lack of some big-name stars is a reason for disappointment. For example, the bad guys are not bad enough and evil. The lack of a dangerous end of the world is a big failure. But Other aspects are good. Expand

The special effects and real-time location shots are some of the best of Nolan's career, James Bond-like and brilliantly photographed in a time sequence format by his cinematographer, Hoyte van Hoytema, who worked as DP on 2 other Christopher Nolan films, "Dunkirk" and "Interstellar." These are reasons the film should be seen in the cinema, on the big screen, to be truly appreciated. Took 2 points off (8 out-of 10) because, while I understood the concept of TENET, Saving the World and International Espionage, the plot is the most challenging to follow of all Nolan's movies. The film moves so quickly, so much going on, that plot points were missed in this first screening of the movie. In true Nolan fashion, as with some of his other films, TENET will require multiple viewings to discover what was missed and to fully comprehend the story. Fine performances from John David Washington as Protagonist, Robert Pattinson as his past-present-future partner Neil, Elizabeth Debicki and Kenneth Branagh who makes a great villain, and a cameo appearance from Nolan muse Michael Caine. The early exposition dump from the female scientist sets the stage for secret factions, incoming disaster and the nature of how the inverse time works. The move drops time and time again clear info on the inverse nature of time and how it works. The exposition dumps from the Arms Dealer, the main Villain, the side kick and hardass bearded soldier is straight forward. Plus the literal action sequence show visually how the inverse of time all works. The literal movie trailer has massive spoilers in so I didn't go into this movie blind I expected it. The final sequence was cool, clever and with a tinge of sadness. Awh shucks I quite liked that character no spoilers. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Speechless Masterpiece! Its a top tier Chris Nolan movie the vision and execution were bigger. the music by Ludwig was literally spine chilling it was intense and awesome specially the reverse tracks were mind-blowing. the plot was confusing and complex as hell as it was said in movie don't try to understand it feel it. I did same and literally people were scratching heads while I Enjoyed the movie it was a magic. Literally for me its the best Imax Experience ever. from the moment the movie starts from then to end I don't even want to blink for a sec it was that awesome. the pacing was like butter it was smooth and brilliant, the starting intro with little comedy was surprising and the overall 1st half was good but when 2nd half was started literally The words are undiscovered to speak about this movie it was literally a Mind-blowing experience the way they connected plots and links with addition to awesome detailing it was fascinating. the action from start to end was god tier it was brilliant and the overall complex plot watching without paying attention to details make it simple understanding it was like once u start paying attention it was that complex and detail the brain feels the flexes but watching just like that feels badass and brilliantly fascinating it will be like didn't understand a thing but still its a masterpiece. the acting was Legendary John-David-Washington was badass, Elizabeth was stunning, Kenneth was Brilliant, Dimple-Kapadiya was surprisingly amazing and Rob-Pattinson was Heart and soul he was literally amazing specially at end the whole mystery was literally ground-breaking and at same time it was emotionally amazing. Overall the editing and production design was literally nail-bitingly awesome the inverted fight/chase and "stalsk 12" fight scenes was like how the hell they edited that thing it was literally the G.O.A.T scenes in action history. the cinematography was stunning, music, direction, acting, action,Plot and Concepts of time inversion, entropy the grand father paradox and all it was like Nolan played with his fav toy "Time" it was mind-blowing, The whole movie is a Never seen before experience Literally many re-watches needed to understand it fully. Its a Epic God tier Pure Masterpiece movie!

2nd Experience : It was much clear concept and story made sense, The James bond ish 1st half and inception ish 2nd half with it the reverse concept it was just mind-blowingly cool. The protagonists name and his identity about he recuriting niel and his mission felt clear, the temporal pincer character Apperances doubts are cleared and the whole concept of time and all that too were cleared, The sator's idealogy makes him awesome antagonist and the ending it was just brilliant. The overall movie is just a Creative Masterpiece!

At first I was blown away by the sound, with a great system it rattles through the whole place (that would have been really great in the cinema). When it came to the sound, I thought to myself "Wait a minute, that sounds familiar, somehow like Mandalorian" ... after the film, I took a quick look and you read Ludwig Göransson, great.

I liked the cinematic representation of the film very much, it all looks really strong and offers impressive images. Acting is also absolutely delivered here.

Regarding the actual story, I'll just say that I basically liked it, but didn't pull up any trees. It was very exciting in most parts (the intro is really blatant) and tied you to the chair. But every now and then I had the feeling that the film was languishing for a few minutes. Over time, the whole topic was "complex" networked, but I missed the "WTF moments" a bit, but there were nice brackets.

Overall, absolutely to be recommended, preferably with a good system. 8/10 inversions.

I saw it a second time however, and after digesting some of what I saw the first time, the movie made much more sense and I could appreciate much more of the experience. Now, I love the movie. It was an "experience" and I'm still thinking about it days later, listening to the soundtrack, doing web searches about some of the concepts and... well you get the idea. Every scene is crafted. Every sound effect is considered. It is a great movie going experience. Don't listen to the criticisms (which are perfectly valid by the way) but this is not a "zero" score as some users have rated it. It isn't a "5 or 6" either. This is movie magic and very good. If you don't "get it" and can't understand all of the dialogue (and that is understandable) just go with the action and sound, and then get it on Blu-ray later with subtitles and watch it a few more times (I know I will). This is one of those movies that will be entertaining on the 4th and 5th viewings. I just can't understand the hate by some - but to each their own. I really love the sci-fi trappings and over the top concepts. This is great stuff. Expand

These are just some of the actual comments I heard while watching Tenet -Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster - a very clever, confusing and deeply frustrating film - perhaps the perfect movie for the madness and disappointment that is 2020. An expensive, very high concept testament to the clout Nolan currently carries in Hollywood right now since he’s allowed to make high brow blockbusters. Cue British accent “I know, let’s make a $250m movie and run the whole 2 and a half hours in reverse.’ The editor must be like WTF?
Nolan is a genius. Too clever me. Maybe I’ll enjoy this more on a second viewing, but is that a sign of a good movie? One that leaves the vast majority of the audience confused? Clarity of narration is key to enjoyability. Washington and Branagh’s performances are brilliant but, can we all fast forward to the future please! Roll on 2021 so we can watch the all the proper blockbusters that got deferred. (On the big screen as Nolan rightly says)

It kept me watching but... and it is a big but. You must turn on Closed Captioning to understand the constant explanations throughout the movie. The actors "mumble" (for dramatic effect). You must turn on CC right from the beginning or you will become lost very quickly. The lighting decisions do not work (for dramatic effect). Often I could not see the protagonist's expressions (nor read his lips) as he was moving or in the shadows. An extremely flawed movie that might be really good the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time watching but not the 1st time. This movie was made specifically for the movie theatre where you can focus. Your computer or at home on the TV, not so much. Expand

While core components of the time travel logic in this film are relatively novel and themselves interesting, this logic and foundation is completely cast aside at every point throughout the movie. I don't think I have ever watched a film that is more internally inconsistent with the in-universe rules it establishes. By all appearances the plot is held together solely by scenes brainstormed in the writing room around the idea of "cool things that could happen if time went backwards".

I can tolerate a film leaving me in the dark for a long period (even right till the very end if the plot warrants it), I also enjoys twists and concede many films improve with a second watch. However, I cannot tolerate a movie being so deliberately opaque in storytelling that at 90 minutes in the viewer still has no clue what is happening *and* never gets a decent explanation. These early acts do not instil curiosity and a desire for an answer, only frustration and confusion. This issue is only compounded by the inaudible dialogue that plagues most scenes. It's not clever storytelling to not give your audience any indication of what is going on in a story, it's contemptuous of their time, money and attention. The spectacle and novelty of the original concept are it's only saving graces. The performances are mostly underwhelming, the overall plot fairly uninspired and score passable. Your attention to detail and desire to understand the world and story will not be rewarded but mocked, if you are watching this based on trust in Nolan from his previous works he will make you regret it over an agonising two and a half hours. I do not reccomend this film.

On one hand, Chris Nolan presented a film with incredible set pieces that would have wowed audiences in the IMAX crowd. Yet, it is a film of incredible complexity, explained by dialogue that were obscured by the typical "Nolan sound mixing". It is literally impossible to comprehend the flick without any subtitles. As such, having watched it at home, I could simply pause the film..rewind and see the portions that were difficult to understand. Can you do that in the cinemas? No, you can't. Having Nolan huffing and puffing to Warner Bros for releasing day to date their future movies on their streaming services meant that his reasoning to force WB to release it would involve a bit of his own ego (?). As such, this was not up to par with most of his projects (I would grade this higher than Insomnia, but lower than the Prestige in term of his works). Its box office under performance all over the world may be the reason WB radically changed their release strategy in 2021, changing moviegoing for good. Expand

It's pretty simple, just imagine a movie about typical "simply kind" protagonist without past or character development and "simply evil" antagonist which is almost hadn't a past too. Add to that let's say some nuclear threat from antagonist which wants to destroy the world. Sounds pretty pathetic and generic, right? But what if you add to that some ridiculous pretentious two-way time flow (which is meaningless at its conception from the start), worthless dialogues full of "it's from a past future" and phrases which making a high-schooler proud since he knows them. The whole conception of time here is about a way to film action scenes originally not for scenario itself. This movie is on par with World Invasion: Battle Los Angeles for example but simply added meaningless abundant time manipulation scenes. Overhyped simpletons will call such a movie a masterpiece for smart people but no one from them could explain anything from a movie which lacks scenario or sense at least. Groundhog day was better in terms of time manipulation. Expand

Bold, brilliant, amazing, complex.

Tenet ranks among the very best of Nolan's work.

I had low expectations after Dunkirk, a movie that had very little going on, without the inventiveness and complexity of Nolan's best movies.

Tenet blew me away. I wonder if the 7.2 user score and 69 critic score is just because some people hate complexity. I loved it. And I loved that Tenet requires multiple viewings to figure out all of what's going on.

I am very impressed by Tenet and consider it to be one of the most unique and intelligent Hollywood movies I've seen.

The plot is borderline incomprehensible and at some point I just had to let it entertain me, while realizing the "world" it tries to establish is scientifically nonsense. Not only that, but the characters try to explain the world with quick, snippy dialogue with barely any details, while talking way too fast...leaving the viewer completely confused. And perhaps worse of all...there is essentially 0 backstory to the main character who goes by the name..."protagonist". Why should I care about this character ? Who is he ? We have 0 answer to these questions, therefore...I do not care much about the character and found myself wanting to fast forward through most of the film as...there was no emotional connection to a single one of the characters. (Dunkirk also had the same problem, and was fatally flawed as a result.) The 2nd half does have some excellent action sequences and almost made me forget how convoluted the plot was. But the first half was brutally incoherent, and not believable, essentially mindless action, and 0 character development (of most characters in the film except only 2 side-characters)...leaves the best I can give the film about a 5/10, and also fatally flawed and alternating between frustrating for much of it and fairly entertaining for the last 30 minutes, for the spectacle of it. It is an exciting action-thriller that tries hard to define itself as a smart science-fiction time puzzle. It is a really imaginative spy movie that asks you to believe in a universe with laws of physics of its own. It is Nolan at its most self, however, from a first-viewing experience, Nolan seems to underperform. As usual with Nolan's style of storytelling, Tenet is bold in what it expects from its audience, which might not help it with those who won't be convinced to watch it again. It is sometimes too fast and too complex to follow for those who only watch it once, though their eyes will be delighted by an ultra-fast paced story driven by spectacular action set-pieces, fights, and chases. On second-viewing however, you not only enjoy those things again and more so, but you appreciate certain things that at first you weren't able to detect or digest, such as character development so nuanced that is all the more delectable on second-viewing. Personally, I do like a puzzling narrative, but I normally don't appreciate a mandatory second viewing. With Tenet though, the 2nd-viewing experience was very gratifying, building up in a considerable amount in a number of ways.

In the end, Tenet is a masterful technical exercise in filmmaking that is welcomed at perhaps one of the quietest times in cinema's history. It is truly sad that a pandemic won't allow Tenet to fulfill its destiny as a blockbuster in its loudest sense.

Great performances from the cast helped with immersion even as the craziness of it all sometimes made me take a step back as I tried to figure things out. The setpieces are always visually stunning and the concepts are designed to be baffling. They're not something that lend themselves well to visual explanation but now I see them more like David Lynch movies - almost dream like. And when i watch the movies with this feeling - like we are not supposed to wholly understand, then you can just enjoy them for the silly dialogue that is designed to be baffling and nonsensical and just engage with the mish mashy spectacle of the whole mess. Then they are fun and enjoyable. If you take it too seriously and analytically, which, granted you might feel like you are supposed to, then it's a massive disappointment. If you enjoy it like a mission impossible thriller then it's a fun ride and visually stunning.

there will always be a place in my heart for the prestige and memento though and dunkirk was solid. they hold up on many different levels. tenet can be enjoyable if you keep your analytical and logical brain in check and just enjoy on a visceral level. kinda like a brainy fast and furious lol.

That's how bad it was in every single other way to alienate me. It's unapologetically confusing, and as usual, some people conflate that with "challenging". No, MOMENTO was challenging. This is just a mess. Tenet's plot, dialog and character motivations feel like Nolan grabbed a fistful of those poetry magnets and hurled them at the refrigerator door. Whatever stuck is what's on the screen. It's loud and bombastic. Sometimes in amazing ways and unacceptable in other ways. I don't need to go into the dialog - you've already heard the complaints - but it's as bad as you've read. Don't guess, don't try. Just turn on the subtitles if you're convinced you absolutely must see this terrible way to spend 200 million dollars.

The action scenes all suck because it looks like literally any other action movie when you press the Rewind button on your remote. This was a cute gimmick when I was 5 and playing with the VCR. How Nolan thought this cheap, B-movie "special effect" was appropriate for a film of this scale is just mind-boggling. It caused me to completely check out of most of the action scenes, especially when you consider if you can go back in time knowing exactly how the future will play out, you could mount attacks millimeters from your enemies. You could mount attacks INSIDE their bodies that will appear out of time in the right moments. So Nolan, who has a rep for science fiction which is scientifically-plausible, used a cheap gimmick which doesn't even stand up to the most basic scrutiny. The cardboard cutouts...er... characters are beautiful but empty. Like a collection of NPCs in a video game. Their dialog feels like it was written by a dollar store AI. You don't get to know the characters and you don't even feel anything about them. They're so wooden and mechanical they contribute to how this film does everything in its power to not immerse you.

I decided to just gut it out to the end, but with half an hour to go, I was thoroughly bored. At least when a dialog-heavy drama bores you to tears they'll at least lull you to sleep. Tenet simultaneously makes you crave a long nap but it's bombastic audio and explosions don't allow it. It's almost like a kind of sleep torture.

Fanboys are trying desperately to extract something transcendent and so genius that only watching it 12 times begins to reveal it. When Nolan's own fans have to mentally water torture themselves to appreciate this film, you know there's trouble.

Hopefully, the time travel mcguffin at the center of TENET will one day exist so we can all go back in time and warn our past sells to stay the hell away from this time turkey.

John David Washington and Robert Pattinson are fine but Kenneth Branagh chews up the scenery - so much ham. Elizabeth Debicki is miscast - too cool by far. And what is Christopher Nolan’s fetish for having characters in masks talking so you can’t work out what they’re saying? Surely Bane was enough of that. Some of the action set-pieces are spectacular but they are undercut by an endless number of scenes where the main characters try to explain what the whole “back from the future” concept is. The fact that Nolan has to do this over and over again showed to me that even he didn’t quite know what the heck was going on by the end. Expand

The directing is in his usual style, although this time with less flare, given the environment. The plot is possibly one the most complex he has ever made, perhaps even a tad too much this time. But at least he tries hard to make you think while watching the movie and in the days afterwards. Acting was a mixed bag, sometimes I felt it a bit jarring. If I had to find a nuisance, compared to the other Nolan movies, the usual mandatory rewatching to understand completely the first viewing, wasn’t as enjoyable as usual, mainly because this time the complexity of the story felt more like a puzzle to solve. Overall, not a masterpiece, but an excellent movie for those who want to be engaged in a complex story and original material. Expand

These interesting ideas are expressed through dialogue that is hushed, spoken in unintelligible accents, or riddled with terms with which most viewers are probably unfamiliar. If the dialogue were more audible and discernible or if mysterious jargon were not so consistently thrown around, viewers would derive more enjoyment out of this film. The concepts discussed and on display in the film are quite interesting and exciting, but the potential for a more fully realized moviegoing experience is wasted by impenetrable dialogue that is muttered by the actors, leaving most of the audience scratching their heads. Despite it's stellar effects and mind bending timeline, Tenet has no soul. The whole time I found myself wondering 'why should I care about what these characters do'. In Nolan's best film (in my opinion) 'Inception', we get to know the characters and their flaws. Getting to know why Leo does what he does, and his being haunted by things in the past is what makes us relate to him. In Tenet there is no back story. No motive for the 'Protagonist' to do what he does. There's a great performance by Robert Pattinson, which is probably the acting highlight of the film. I can't give the film a bad review, as it was entertaining, but I also can't give it a stellar review either as it was lifeless. It would seem almost as if Nolan came up with the idea of the special effects first, and then haphazardly built a hollow story around it, as the vessel to carry this intriguing piece of eye candy. All in all, that's what Tenet is. Eye candy. It's good eye candy, but falls flatter than a sheet of paper when it comes to heart. I'd easily give this an 8 instead of a 6 if there was even an iota of reason to care about why the characters do what they do. Still worth the watch for FX alone though. Expand

Hey gang this movie borders on the ridiculous. The acting is fine but the story is silly, incomprehensible and way way way too long! My friend and I actually turned it off after 2 hours . I liked INCEPTION but I could follow that and it made sense.

Stunning visuals.... That's the only redeeming factor of this movie. It does look amazing, with stunning cinematography and some unbelievable action sequences. Everything else though... Utter crap.
About an hour into the film I had to pause it, grab my phone, and see if perhaps my copy had some issue with the sound mix. You could barely hear what anyone was saying, and at various times I had to jump on the volume button of my remote because some scenes were incredibly loud.
Turns out my copy was fine, and the unintelligible dialogue and volume 'jumps' were a purposeful choice by the Director, and that it actually caused problems when the film was shown in the cinema!
Being unable to discern what anyone is saying ruins the film, what plot/exposition I could glean from hearing every fourth word spoken (at best) means I had no idea what was happening.
Again, it was wonderful to look at, but impossible to understand.
Another result of this, I couldn't really get an idea of how well anyone was acting. Characterisations were impossible to realise, as well as formulating any sense of motivation.

Ultimately it's a film I watched all the way through, but won't watch again (unless a cut comes out with the sound mix drastically improved!), it was just two and half hours of my life I won't be getting back!

Tenet is a masterclass by Nolan. It’s unique in so many aspects that it would be safe to say it’s nothing like what came before it.

Its a little too ambitious in my opinion. If you thought inception was hard to follow, this will leave you scratching your head. The general plot is good and the the action and acting is great but its dizzying.

But there really is no plot here, the cast is not the strongest, perhaps only Robert Pattinson and Kenneth Branagh stands out. I expected something more, apparently Nolan raised the bar too much. If you compare Tenet with that Inception, then complete degradation in all aspects is on the face. Expand

Tenet starts off promising but doesn’t quite come together by the time the credits roll. The special effects were alright, but not oscar-worthy. Pretty average movie overall, with a below/average plot.

Tenet has a pretty straightforward premise: A super agent called Protagonist has to stop an evil mastermind to begin World War III, it is kind of a 007 movie. What is not straightforward is everything in between.

The movie presents us with a reversing time mechanic which it's a pretty neat idea, it also is not as hard to grasp, but it is shown and explained so many times in different and convoluted ways that it ends up being confusing. At first, it's introduced as something you can do with "reversed" items, but after that, it appears that they forgot this, and then it is more like you need a machine to get in that state. The reversing rules feel like they are ever bending, and here lies the main problem with this film: it is always on shaky ground. As aforementioned, Nolan does dense movies that anyone can watch and enjoy, but this comes with the problem of when is too much exposition? When it's better to let go of your audiences a little? It's obvious that he didn't trust the audience would get the reversing thing so he ended over-explaining it and ultimately that decision backfired. It doesn't help that most of this exposition it's given to us in the most basic forms: characters explaining it to other characters while walking or eating at a table, this happens many times throughout the movie to the point of it becoming repetitive device. It is worth noting that a lot of dialogue it's eaten by loud sounds and noise from the background, this can become an annoyance since it is easy to lose track of the plot with these auditive obstacles, some people are theorizing about this high noise being intentional, and that might be true as it's unlikely for a director so invested in sound would let this slide up, still it's bothersome and if that's true it is a terrible gimmick to add re-watch value to the movie.

The rhythm of the film can be off, but it is never dull or boring, even with the things mentioned before. As an action movie, it is great on its action scenes since they get pretty creative with the reversing, the only bad thing about them is the final set-piece. It's an incredibly choreographed scene with lots of stakes and dynamism, yet, it is stained by these double simultaneous fights where another character is doing something more uninteresting with allegedly higher stakes, but at the same time, they felt lower.

Most of the cast is pretty solid, and the characters are likable. John David Washington as Protagonist and Robert Pattinson as Niel are pretty good, they are charisma walking machines, however, the one performance that I liked the most it's from Elizabeth Debicki, her character is the only one with a more definite arc, and it also displays a wide range of emotions through the movie, I can see how this character could not work with another actor, but Debicki fleshed her up extremely well. On the other hand, the antagonist played by Kenneth Branagh didn't work for me, he is a great actor, yet the decisions made surrounding his character are way too cartoony for his good.

Tenet is an unnecessarily convoluted movie filled with exposition dialogue but fun action scenes. As with other Nolan movies, this one has a rewatching value, I can see how someone would pass over a second glance, but to me, I could have a second view because as flawed as it is, it's entertaining from the start to finish.
