There were clues, but I still liked how it turned the tables on me.
It certainly doesn't do much with its plot, but it's perfectly understandable why and those are points in favor of the film as a whole, because it doesn't needlessly drag out

Significant Other delivers 80 tense and entertaining minutes, direct and to the point.

A delusional sci-fy movie in which the protagonist girl spends time trying to kill the alien boyfriend even though she discovers from the first attempt that he is indestructible. If you are looking for something original or simply with a little more logic, turn elsewhere.

The lead performances were more than acceptable, and really the only thing worth mentioning in this very slow burn thriller that goes so unexpectedly off the rails in the 3rd act.
